It depends bro. I really enjoy doing scuba and personally I found it pretty worth the money we paid. I've spent close to 20k on 1 scuba dive in maldives so here spending 8k for 2 dives was an easy decision for me. Snorkeling allows you to swim at the surface or in shallow waters. Scuba takes you closer to the corals and very near the marine life. We saw many colorful corals and schools of fishes. Even got lucky with a turtle. So if you ask me, I would definitely recommend it but it's a personal choice. If you do go to Barakuda, ask for Vanessa. We dived with her and the experience was quite good.
