When I first started studying Aikido. I already trained in 3 other styles. So I thought I’d just fly through it. Freaking NO WAY. They just through me all over the place. 6’4 220 lb in good shape. I’m like ok this shit works. And what really solidified it for me as when it was my turn. I couldn’t budge these guys. It was a very humbling feeling. Made me realize just how deep Aikido is. Nothing to do with Size,Power,or Speed. All precise TECHNIQUES from years of training. Why some don’t really understand the true essence of Aikido.

I paint house. And I keep telling people that paining is My Aikido Training. I use a 18 inch roller for ceiling and large walls. Jo Staff Aiki Jo work.Kneeling position painting Baseboards. And masking off base boards. So when Mr. Miyagi in Karate Kid. Was really teaching when he said. Wax On Wax Off. All. My brush work is Hand Training using a Katana or Tonto. Bring your art into your everyday life. And you are always training. Oss.

Aikidou cuts like a knife. The instructor used a technique on me and I still can't believe my arm wasn't cut off.
