Hi Sim the nose of the dolphin is a Rostrum and their side fins are called Pectoral & the tail fins are called Dorsal - so there you go honey - just showing my hubby your videos he is very impressed 😃x

Love the dolphin Sim, did you have your didymium lense on as kept losing the dolphin when he was in the flame??

Yes! Believe it or not, I do use a didymium lens on the GoPro. I'm trying to get the best view so you can see the glass in the flame. Guess I have to keep experimenting.
The dolphin is cool! I think there was a missed opportunity to do a certain type of video for April 20th though... ;)

Do you have any tips or tricks for warming your glass to avoid cracks?
Hi Whitney! Thanks for the question. The thicker the glass, the more gentle you have to be introducing it into the flame. I like to start my glass way out of the flame and gradually bring it down into the working flame area. As far as keeping it hot when working it, a lot of people get a bunsen burner and they're great for keeping the heat in the glass. If you can't swing that, make sure you flash the colder parts to keep the heat in them.
Thank you for all your video. What torch you use ? Does this model can work with air compressor ? I would like to by à bigger torch than mine but I don’t want too much to have an oxygen bottle in my small room 😜 Thank
Hey Lacaro! Thank you for your comment and your question. I use a GTT Mirage. It runs off of propane and oxygen. I don't have experience using an air compressor but I would assume you need something to regulate the pressure so your torch has a steady stream of oxygen. All the best! Sim
Can you describe what a cold seal is? I keep struggling to get my work off of the glass and I love how easy you made taking the dolphin off look
Hi Jordan. Thanks for your question. A cold seal is when you have two pieces of glass, one would be hot and one would be cold. When you attach the two, they should stick together. It should be a weak seal that will pop off when tapped. I'll see if I can make a video showing the differences.
