Omg!! This happens to me very often in meditation and began 9 years ago when I was doing a Goenka Vipassana. It is certainly not the method we were taught but it was presenting itself to me intuitively. After no body no mind there is a transition just like you say where letting go is very necessary, but then the spaciousness comes which almost feels like an expansion at great speed in all directions. I guess it is pleasant though it is beyond thoughts of that. Very often I open my eyes at this point and maintain the state, tho I have not walked around in it. Thank you for this video! I had no idea what this was called or what it was about. Wow, now I want to work toward walking around in the world in this state.🙏
It sounds like you've had some success entering this state, which is called the Fifth Jhana. It can be experienced as a feeling of expansion in all directions, a feeling of infinite compassion, or infinite peace. One can learn to integrate this perception into everyday life through walking meditation.
@@ModernKriya perfect! How wonderful to know what this is and have the opportunity to work with it intentionally. I look forward to learning more and exploring this channel's content. 🤗🙏
Very helpful. I was wondering why some lineages pull the breath to the top of head versus medulla?
Good question. They are likely trying to activate an expansion of consciousness right away. However, this is not advisable until one has done sufficient purification through a process such as Om Japa or letting go of hindrances. Otherwise, one may experience feeling spaced out at best and full kundalini psychosis at worst. That's why the medulla is a safer bet than the crown. With the medulla, the expansion will then arise on its own without forcing it.
@@ModernKriyayes, I agree totally. For several years I was doing Kriya with no om Japa and focusing on 3rd eye. 👁️ I got to a point every time I sat to meditate, I got so much pressure in my forehead it was very uncomfortable. Finally, someone taught me om Japa and stop at medulla and all went away. Also, felt karma coming way too fast because I wasn’t purifying it. Now days it is so much better. I appreciate you bringing up questions that most people doing Kriya for sometime always wonder about but cannot get answered. ❤
Your experience sounds similar to Forrestji's. I'm glad the info was helpful. It's nice to see more Kriyabans having success with these practices.
