DETAILS:
A Road Rage incident took place between these 3 individuals and another vehicle as items were being thrown at the victim’s car including a beer bottle through a window, breaking the window.
A description of the vehicle was put out on the radio.
Later, these 3 individuals were at Stoney’s Bar in National City and started fighting with other patrons. The suspects went to their car and opened the trunk of the car, and the bar patrons thought the suspects were going for weapons and called the Police. The suspects left.
SDPD’s ABLE helicopter then spotted the car at Pepper Park and as officers closed in the driver sped down Marina Way in an attempt to escape, but officers were able to pull the suspects over. They 3 were arrested and the driver will also face charges of DUI.

What gets me is the lack of situational awareness of the pedestrians walking by until they see weapons drawn & then freaking out. DuMass should have seen that from 1/2 a block away!

The cops did their takedown by the book. Fortunately the occupants of the car didn’t play stupid and didn’t start mouthing and playing stupid. Nobody got hurt.
