We have two family holiday parks here: Butlins and Pontins. Butlins representatives (ie. the staff) all wear red jackets and are called Redcoats; likewise Pontins wear blue jackets and are called Bluecoats. Their duties are family entertainers, comedians like Lee, singers and dancers and children supervisors.
For clarification, he was talking about being a 'blue-coat' at Pontins. Pontins alongside Butlin's are perhaps the most recognisable 'all inclusive' budget family holiday resort brands in the UK, with I think around a dozen resorts between them. Butlin's employees have red coats and pontins have blue coats, and the employees themselves are known simply as 'red and blue-coats'. Butlin's began it's operation/s through the 1930's and Pontins essentially followed a similar model in the 40's and both have instantiated themselves in the (perhaps to some degree 'knowingly') somewhat 'naff', budget family holiday cultural zeitgeist. Anyway, though perhaps they do have adult themed comedy nights, this COULD easily have been a family show, since the two brands do target families more broadly...it's hardly the preferred choice of holiday for 18-30yr old singles or even couples without children!
Tips on making tea, put one Yorkshire Tea bag into a pot, pour over enough boiling water to fill two good sized mugs, leave to stand for one minute (no longer). I like to put my milk in my mug first, (about 1/2” depth) pour the brewed tea into your mug, then if desired add the sugar (for me two tea spoon full), stir and enjoy.
A bluecoat is someone who works at Pontins - a chain of holiday camps in Britain. Traditionally they were cheap places to go on holiday (vacation) where the family gets a small apartment, and there is very middle of the road entertainment there done on a stage by the Bluecoats for the people staying at the camp.

Butlins representatives (ie. the staff) all wear red jackets and are called Redcoats; likewise Pontins wear blue jackets and are called Bluecoats. Their duties are family entertainers, comedians like Lee, singers and dancers and children supervisors.
Lee has a sitcom called 'Not going out'.. it's a classic
Another you should definitely do is The Graham Norton Show with Sigourney Weaver, Sandi Toksvig, & Professor Brian Cox. Giving no clues why but do it.
Lee Mack is also a regular on 8 out of 10 Cats with Jimmy Carr.
See Lee Mack in his sitcom "not going out" the early programmes are best.
Yorkshire tea is the best!
Lee Mack is from my hometown of Southport on the northwest coast. He’s so funny. X
I have been to Heysham Holiday camp next to the nuclear power station that Lee Mack was on about and it was glowing LOL
John Cleese is one of the greatest living legends alive today he is one of monty pythons who inspired the likes of Ricky gervais, creators South Park Matt/ Trey, and so many more.
Blue coat. One of the staff who works at one of Pontins holiday camps. The uniform includes a blue jacket.
The best story told on The Graham Norton Show was the theatre story by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Absolutely hillarious!
Some teas have more caffeine than coffee. Mixing that with sugar, or in your case honey. Its a mix and a half. The bloke in the middle is Martin Clunes. (Comedy/actor).
Guy in the Middle is Martin Clunes, check him out in Men Behaving Badly - very old series but incredibly funny, it used to be one of the shows we used to make sure we were in to watch every week👍🏼
Martin Clunes is the guy in the middle, he's in shows such as Men Behaving Badly & Doc Martin
Can't believe you mentioned Faulty Towers, it's a classic.
Try watching The Good Life, old now, but can still hold its own.
Loving catching up on all your videos.
Should definitely do lee Mack on stage
The guy in the middle is an actor called Martin Clunes he has done quite bit of comedy his most famous comedy role has to be with Neil Morrissey in a sitcom called Men Behaving Badly it's really funny I'd recommend watching a full episode. If you like some of those BBC light comedy's there are a load on a streaming service called Brit Box that i think you can get in the states.
You two are the best!
The guy in the middle is Martin Clunes. He's an actor. Notable roles being Men Behaving Badly, Doc Martin and Goodbye Mr Chips.
He's definitely worth checking out. Men Behaving Badly was a really popular sitcom in the 90s and Doc Martin is more comedy/drama, arguably the better show. Doc Martin is a spin off of the 2000 movie Saving Grace, which is also excellent.
A 'blue coat' is someone who works as an entertainer at a British holiday park
Guy in middle is Martin Clunes... more known for programmes such as ' Men Behaving Badly' and 'Doc Martin'
Should check out Lee Mack in 'Not going out'
Blue Coats are the entertainers and staff at a string of holiday resorts in British Sea-side towns. Named for the blue jackets that they wear.
I grew up near heysham/morecambe where he worked as a bluecoat!
Martin Clunes is the chap in the middle; famous as "Gary" in Men Behaving Badly (alongside Neil Morrissey as "Tony"), an absolutely superb 1990s BBC sitcom that you guys must check out. - If you do, maybe skip series 1, as it gets into its swing from S2. BTW Harry Enfield played the flat-mate in S1; fun, but the cast really became complete with the arrival of Morrissey.
Hi Ethan. Your show is much better when Angela is with you. A blue coat is an entertainer/host at Pontins holiday camps. A red coat works at Butlins.
Can't believe you haven't seen more lee Mack, also he is in would I lie to you which you have seen, he is the quickest whit in Britain
The guy in the middle is Martin Clunes. He's not a comedian but has done some brilliant comedy shows check out 'Men behaving badly' from the 90's. He's a brilliant actor.

We're invading, one cup of tea at a time.

If you like Lee Mack you should watch him on Great British bake off
Watch Men Behaving Badly. Classic sitcom. It was brilliant.
So a bluecoat is someone who works as a rep at holiday parks in the UK, they will be there to run events for the holiday makers but will also entertain in the evenings. Think trailer parks but with chalets rather than RV's
I had to wait twelve hours today for my first cup of tea. No power as storm Eunice passed through the South West.
