Yo, can I just as an American just say I wish for once a reporter would go up to someone in the United States and ask him political question and got an answer remotely like the one we saw here that would just be the biggest breath of fresh air, I could imagine
Please note the difference between this young man from Kenya and your average MAGA republican. He's wellspoken, he has actual grievances and he addresses them without going off the deep end and claiming Ruto is a child molester or the head of a crime family.

Sacking the cabinet will change nothing, as the person who hired the cabinet remains, and it shows bad judgement. Roads in Kenya are a shame, and money is being spent. There are numerous health scandals, and they are threatening people who do not pay for the scam. There is poor performance in every Ministry, and money has been spent for two years. Will that looted money be returned? Of course it will not be returned. People seek power to enrich themselves, not to serve. Would anyone pay house help more than they make? Then why are public servants paid way above minimum wage. If the highest salary is 10x the minimum wage, which is 15,000 shillings. The highest salary of those who serve Kenyans will be 150,000 kenya shillings with no added allowances. That number is more representative of what taxpayers can afford. If people don't like it, they can get another job. Kenya also needs carbon credits to be used to help pay debt. The biggest polluters can face fines to help pay the debts of the lowest polluters. This makes incentive for all people to start going green, and stop polluting. Kenya has a Geothermal Belt that if used properly can provide alot of power. Wind and solar can also provide power generation.

Ruto should have walked out as well not only his cabinet, he's too busy looting Kenya, IMF should ask him Ruto and his cabinet to pay the loans, he's the one signed for that loan to service himself and live a lavish life with his family.

Who was the first US official to pay him a visit? He came promising almost anti US dollars after the first visit he abandoned the mission, fast forward, a week before the demonstration Biden praised Kenya. Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but Kenya leader after winning started to make bold moves of which many requires money hence the taxes. Rubbing shoulders with western leaders may have made him think he on same level on paper yes but in reality no because the level of poverty in any african country means politicians in africa needs to be prudent in their dealings. Another country is Ghana leader though with him i understand because he is leaving power this year. My point is don't suck up to western politicians to the detriment of your people. Many young people in africa are quietly angry, just don't provoke them. We currently seeing high levels of coups this is not the time to pass unpopular taxes. If you going to copy western leaders then at least learn how they quietly use surveys and other means to guage society's mood before making big changes.
