@Polish Hero Witold Pilecki As far as I'm aware, democratic parties (and thus democracy itself) isn't ruled by nationalism but rather by ideology; a German and an Italian may give support at the same party due to sharing its ideology. In fact, the parties at the EU parliament are the result of agglomerating aligned local parties from European countries. I don't think language would be a barrier. English is nowadays well established as a lingua franca. We can assume that the parliamentarians know English well enough to properly align by ideology. Just as a thought experiment, if political parties were indeed ruled by nationalism, as you suggest, it would be reasonable to assume that the party with the nationality population-wise would have an edge in terms of the number of votes to that party. Despite that, just as in any democratical system you have to take into consideration coalitions. Taking your numbers of German population you could argue that the German party would have the majority in front of other nationalities, *but* not the absolute majority. In that case, a coalition of French, Spanish and Italians could easily outnumber the Germans. But as I said, that was just a thought experiment and the truth is far from being this simple.

There was a vote in parliament in which was decided to keep the flags out. The majority voted for it. But obviously Farage doesn't care about democracy as soon as he doesn't like the outcome.
All flags are shown, if you pay attention. They are still displayed behind the main podium. The vote was about "private" flags. Guess everyone was tired with the UK having their fights in the EU parliament instead of Westmister.
This divorce just feels right and think will be great for both parties. The UK never had a place in Europe, it's influence has always been more outside Europe than in it, and being bolted to this club with 27 nations never felt right. And for the EU, it could possibly get stronger and finally reform itself into a more democratic and less burrcratic insutution, because now the EU is truly European and is in charge of it's own future without an outlyer in the North Sea.
Britain may have left the EU group of countries but she still is part of and supported by that group of countries all over the world. She still rules over the Commonwealth.
"We won’t have a seat at the table! Yes we will, they need our trade, we’ll just be in charge of that seat." What exactly will the EU need from the UK in terms of trade? Corporations, which aren't country loyal, have already started moving factories and services to the EU. So what has the UK got that the EU needs SO badly that they'll let you have the chairmans seat at the table? Coal? And why do you think they'd be dumb enough to allow a non-member a seat at any table? Your empire ended in 1956. Get over it.
Well seeing as we were nearly 20% of the EU contributions they are going to miss us dearly!! Maybe bot now, but for years to come for sure. That 46% because we are tied into the EU and aren't able to trade elsewhere without certain tariffs. Theres a whole would out there, it gives us much more opportunities. It's just the big business fear change! I believe we don't need something like the EU. It doesn't work!
Absolute nonsense!! Germany, France and UK contributed the most. Besides, its doesn't matter it's our closest market, it's not relevant!! Infact, we put more in than what we get out? Funny how Italy, Spain etc want out as well!! The UK was not founded to obey ridiculous rules I'm afraid!

Some time ago there was a motion made to remove national flags from the assembly. Idea was that after MEPs were selected to represent their countries, they work together in parlament for the benefit of the whole EU, not just their nation. There was a VOTE (democrazy, still remember that thing?) and the motion passed. British had their part in the vote as anybody else. The UK will never rejoin the EU BYE BYE can’t wait till 11pm FRIDAY. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍
Bye bye EU you won't be missed🇬🇧

"We won’t have a seat at the table! Yes we will, they need our trade, we’ll just be in charge of that seat."
What exactly will the EU need from the UK in terms of trade? Corporations, which aren't country loyal, have already started moving factories and services to the EU. So what has the UK got that the EU needs SO badly that they'll let you have the chairmans seat at the table? Coal? And why do you think they'd be dumb enough to allow a non-member a seat at any table? Your empire ended in 1956. Get over it.
No, sorry pal. Your seat will be in the corridor. You can bring a portable table with you, if it makes you feel better.
Well seeing as we were nearly 20% of the EU contributions they are going to miss us dearly!! Maybe bot now, but for years to come for sure. Considering Germany run the EU and we import more cars from them than any other country. Funny how China/Japan.and US are knocking at out door now. The germans are slightly concerned no doubt!
So please explain to the majority of the UK and the rest of the world how that it a good deal???? This is why we want out!!!! The EU is not for trade! Plain and simple!! Funny how Italy, Spain etc want out as well!! The UK was not founded to obey ridiculous rules I'm afraid!

So waving our national flag is "unruliness " according to Channel Four? Her despicable behaviour typifies how the EU treats national attitudes within its organisation.
Farage here was just an asshole giving middle finger to democrazy that didn't suite his lost vote.
