Probably one of my favorite scenes of any episode in AHS 1984 simply because it's done so well. Not only is it pretty historically accurate as to how Ramirez got caught but the show did a fantastic job in making it humorous also considering how dark the man really was. Those LA residents were real heroes going after him like that. Especially the old women chasing him down lol.

Supposedly, when the cops showed up and helped Ramirez by arresting him, he thanked God because those people would have beat him to death. Ironic, considering how he forced many victims to "swear to Satan" to save them. You could see the bloodstains through his black shirt that day.
Also, in real life, the woman he carjacked was being protected by her sons (the men who grabbed the pipe-like weapon), who then jumped on and rightfully pummeled Ramirez. Very well done scene 👏🏻

I've been reading a reaction about the presence of Satan in the universe of AHS, but now I wonder if God is somehow present too. After all, what start the betrayal of Ben is the repulsion he's seem to have of the murders of Richard (Ben stay as a bored outsider of it) and then there is the song, where Ben is struggling to not cry, who can been seen as kind of a sign. Does God somehow had some little influence on thoses events or Ben himself ?

random fun fact: My high school teacher (who coincidentally is also last named Ramirez) lived in the house Richard ran across to get away from the angry mob. He told me he was outside that day with his cousin when Richard hopped the fence, and eventually captured by the people down the street.

Fun fact: [idk about the show] but the guy that whacks Ramirez with his crowbar, was actually the husband of the woman, Ramirez tried to steal the car from.
From reports, the man was helping his neighbor with his car or he was working on his car [I know *for sure* he was working on a car], when he heard his wife in distress.
So, naturally, he came to her defense n whacked Richard with, said, crowbar.
