Even if this album doesn’t achieve the “numbers”, and I’ll be pissed if it doesn’t, it will single-handedly set off a shockwave that will inspire tons of other artists. this song is slowly helping me get over my ex, I lose my voice singing this in my car and im glad dijon sang it that way in this version because it really feels appropriate this way
This song, like drunk, is amazing in that his energy matches everything the song is about. He sounds exhausted, yet is giving his all, shouting with a lost voice. Much how these kind of relationships can feel. It’s a similar effect in Drunk, where he resorts to slurred speech, whines and screams, and a spot of gibberish. Dijon is a rare breed indeed❤️
I can’t even… I found this through delving into Mk.Gee. This blew me away, I wasn’t expecting it and having no preconceptions I just witnessed something so skillfully executed in all aspects of the project from the cinematography to the chemistry and level of musicianship of the band. MK GEE IS SO CUTE the way he jumps up with that up stroke. That dirty but articulate guitar tone is perfect. This album is so fucking good. Perform live more often, this rawness is to die for. Amazing musicians all around, blasted vocals, messy piano, scribbly and rattling drums, beautiful intertwining guitars. Fucking killed it.
thank you dijon for putting Feeling back into music. thank you for including the ugly bits. the coarseness, the chaos, the delirium. that's what it's all about man! you've managed to translate such intense, deranged emotions in a way that neither strips them of the frenzied state that they exist in in their rawest forms, nor distorts them into something unrealistic. true artistry. one of the best to ever do it. thank you for everything.
You know whats crazy is how much there is a subtle Thin Lizzy influence in this song. I can really hear Phil Lynott's style of lyricism and singing in this but obviously updated with modern swag. Dope.

Sunovabitch I miss playing music with my boys so much. You can tell they’re having so much fun together. We all get older and get our own lives.
