So the bounce deck has definitely taken a hit in tempo and turn 6 explosiveness. Not being able to play as many cards on the beast turn lowers the amount of cost reductions for turn 6. But if you use Bast to buff up the cards in your hand before turn 6 it kinda makes up for the sheer amount of cards you would have been able to play before the beast nerf.
I don't understand change to Spider-Man, it doesn't fix how he is used in Galactus and most people play him on 5 anyway, sure it is small nerf for people using him with HI Evo but I feel that is small group. Everything else I am ok with, Beast actually will feel slightly better for me with 4 power. And Rouge buff is nice, especially if you are plugging her into Surfer deck.
I think this is a fairly big hit to High Evo with Spider-Man, myself. So, normally, you'd play Spider-Man by himself on turn 5. This change does the following to that deck's turn 5 play: -Sunspot won't gain 1 power anymore. -Misty Knight won't give another card 1 power anymore. -Cyclops won't give 2 of the opponent's cards -1 power anymore. -Hulk won't gain +2 power anymore. In that context, the Spider-Man nerf could take away up to 5 power from the deck (6 power lost from the above, but 1 power gained from this change) which seems fairly substantial.
Moral of the story is play HE and Hulk now before he gets abused with the nerf hammer. Anytime an opportunity for fun is presented it's addressed aggressively. Meanwhile the real issue with galactus and spidey is too hard to figure out... no one working at marvel snap has any aim because they cant land a sold round of nerfs to buffs without stray shots hitting every other deck
Spiderman change wont impact the meta decks, galactus doesnt care at all since you use him after waving galactus, and where you had spiderman and proffesor x you know only play spiderman lie the most popular control decks, i dont think using him on 4 was that much better
Most of the OTAs have been a major let-down for me personally. Sure, the Enchantress change was interesting and the Venom buff was needed, but most of the buffs feel weak or even pointless compared to the severity of some of the nerfs. Medusa gaining 1 power while still being a nigh-unplayable card compared to 2-cost cards like Jeff and the upcoming Silk is the most pointless change they could've made. Same with the change to Drax, he still sees little to no play. Second Dinner seems to miss the mark with realizing these cards are bad because their effects are bad. Slapping more and more power on these cards will eventually make them playable, sure, but that's just because they'll eventually be too good for their cost while their effects are still bad. Meanwhile, the nerfs have severely impacted several decks. It feels like SD is playing fun police. Just look at the severity of increasing the cost of two cards vs giving unplayable cards +1 power. I really can't get hyped over this. I get that Beast was strong but the whole bounce archetype took a major hit here. Even the Bounce/Move list which really didn't seem to need a nerf - at least not this early on. Same with Black Bolt, a card that was deemed bad for a long time. Black Bolt finally saw some play and Second Dinner rushed to take a power away from him not even a month into his rise. The reason they gave was that they don't want his discard effect be something that tops lists. Meanwhile, Galactus has been trashing around for months, legitimately MONTHS, and not a single thing was done about that. The Spider-Man "nerf" proves SD doesn't know what they're doing. Making him a 5-cost has changed absolutely nothing because the 2 decks that prominently feature him basically only play him on turn 5. Galactus isn't impacted by this and the High Evo control list basically just loses 2 power on their Hulk from Spider-Man now using all the turn 5 energy. So many of these changes just made the game less fun, I really can't with these OTAs anymore. In fact, most of the other changes to the game also made it less fun. I'm close to just uninstalling.
I dont really get their ideology with balance and aquisition because it seems like the moment a deck gets to 15%ish popularity/meta share they get unhappy that too many people are playing a certain deck. I get meta has to be healthy with tons of good decks but why are we trying to hype up releases like high evo to make them popular and then just drop them the minute the next toy(ghost spider) drops and we just see the meta shift, it feels like that since blackbolt stature didnt get nerfed to the ground but the popularity fell. Idk it just confuses me
Ya more buffs to cards that see little play. Not sure what to do with Galactus I just really dislike it for a very long time. I know how to beat it, but too often 1 counter card is just not enough 4 this annoying deck.
Nerfs should be a last resort, currently they make the game, make cards powerful, people like playing them and then they slap them down as soon as people enjoy it, its not an enjoyable collectible game if your collection keeps turning rubbish.
Its a nerf for sure, for high evo, no HULK +2 power... yo cant spiderman 4, prof X later., costing more is not what you want in cards, its their effect, alone SPIDEY seems ok since we sometimes play him at 5.... but its more expensive.
But I only just got Spiderman yesterday!
Every time I get a good card it's nerfed the next day!
Yes we need more buff than nerfs
You nailed it Trevor “they like netfs more than buffs” even nerfing spider man in spidey month

And also big nerf to Hi evo lockdown. i always win the lane with spiderman followup by prof X.
They aren't trying to nerf Galactus. I kicked Prof X out of my lockdown deck and put in DD and it works just fine.
They gave a buff to rouge like I hoped I think it should have went to 3 ut they just killed some decks
literally changed nothing about spiderman on galactus since they play galactus t4 after wave and spiderman turn 5 anyways.

Meanwhile the real issue with galactus and spidey is too hard to figure out... no one working at marvel snap has any aim because they cant land a sold round of nerfs to buffs without stray shots hitting every other deck
I don't feel like they are nerf happy it feels like they just like making roughly the same amount of buffs as there are nerfs
Spiderman change wont impact the meta decks, galactus doesnt care at all since you use him after waving galactus, and where you had spiderman and proffesor x you know only play spiderman lie the most popular control decks, i dont think using him on 4 was that much better
The game need more buffs then nerfs the truest words ever spoken.
Glad I did not buy the Spider-Man variant bundle. What a way to shaft paying customers. Wow.
do you still stream on YT?

They gave the boot to Bast boosting Beast.
sheesh that’s a tongue-twister lol!

Nerf nerf nerf nerf. You can never have a good deck in this game. Quitting was a good call!

Am I the only one who doesn’t think the adjustment to spidey is a nerf? With how we use him, it’s feels more so like a buff
Its a nerf for sure, for high evo, no HULK +2 power... yo cant spiderman 4, prof X later., costing more is not what you want in cards, its their effect, alone SPIDEY seems ok since we sometimes play him at 5.... but its more expensive.
No longer Zabu compatible.
@@mcordeus that’s a great point, I didn’t think about it working with Zabu. The bonus with high evo, it does affect that. Hopefully it’s not too much
@@mcordeus I wish they buffed more than nerf
@@jangotrooper3382 it’s huge change. It fights with other 5 drops and now prevents having excess power.
-3 is too a bit excessive for hood... they're trying to nerf my favorite deck.......
This game is starting to suck ass. STOP NERFING!!!! You’re ruining all our fun!!!!
