My wishes and hopes for this would be that... -...Dareth doesn't suddenly disappear and like Skylor stays there for the rest of the entire season after she returns. -...Ronin is given a better plot (the island ruined him). -...Misako shows up earlier. -...Benthomaar appears in the finale dressed as a king with a army of Merlopians (we all love zippy but it should be made clear that Benthomaar is a king). -...many supporting characters speak in the finale and that more characters (like the elementalmasters) appear. -...Partially rewrite Harumi's plot. -...to make the advice of the Crystal King appear more often (after the part with the primeval's eye they either appeared little or only appeared again in the finale. -...Nya builds the Samurai-X-Mech herself (and not Pixal), like earlier. -...Nya is generally given a better storyline (but her getting her powers back should be left as it wouldn't make any sense in relation to Kai in season 11). -...make the finale more emotional through flashbacks (for which there were enough good opportunities) -...in Crystalized someone dies (there are so many moments where the ninja could have died, but no one died in the entire season). -...It is not ignored that Wu is also part Oni like Lloyd. -...It is not ignored that Zane has already defeated the Overlord. -...Lloyd doesn't forget that Garmadon used to be good as Sensei Garmadon. -...the return of the ice emperor is interpreted differently -...Play the Weekend Whip or the Overture instead of Sally's song at the end (Sally song is fantastic but didn't stay with us the entire series and therefore holds fewer memories). yesss like keep Harumi in there but give her a better redemption arc if there was one episode i would re-write it would be i think harumi was great up until ep 17 of Crystalized i think that is where things started to go downhill with harumi's character, based on the previous episode she did seem pretty hesitate to kill lloyd and looked like she was trying to have a heart to heart and then he drags her out of the oni temple and after that episode i thought yessss!!! now harumi is gonna go to the good side but i was wrong, so i would make lloyd and harumi have a conversation as they go through the jungle harumi would once again try and convince lloyd to join so he would not get hurt and lloyd would then proceed to tell her, i think it would go something like this but i have never written before so please take i lightly and don't be too harsh please Harumi: Lloyd, where are were going Lloyd: where are we going, we're getting out of here that's where we're going Harumi: this place, brings back old memories doesn’t it? THIS. This is the kind of creation/criticism that I admire and aspire to do! As someone who's also dissatisfied with another beloved show of mine in recent months, in terms of execution and creativity, I also have taken up personal projects like this (mainly thru art with snippets of writing) to construct a more interesting and fulfilling version of said series. In a world where it's super easy to critique something into dust and be frustrated with a final product, I've always admired fans who actually take the pieces of the thing they dislike and actually rebuild it into something creative and satisfying. Creating ANYTHING (especially entertainment) is far harder than some people realize - just because its done professionally doesn't make it inherently easier - but using one's frustration (and love) over something and funneling that energy into making a better product, story, world, etc., is always wonderful and heartwarming. From one creative to another, Bendo, you have my respect, support, and anticipation for your Re-Crystallized rewrite!!💜
Taking the Kingdom Hearts approach to naming your remake I see. Being serious now, I can definitely commend you for going about this how you are, it's a huge project, and combined with the YT stuff you're doing right now, I'm sure it can be hard to juggle both, and I'm glad you acknowledge/sort of expect not everyone is going to like it, not everything is going to be for everyone and it's a good thing you can expect that from your stuff, I wish you the best of luck man.

So excited to hear the inside story of the creative process! Wanna make an inspiring fantasy epic using 22-minute Lego blocks and products on a minimal budget? I hear they call that Hageman Syndrome. Or at least I do. I'm truly looking forward to see what you've got for this, and I now feel rather stupid for asking you if you wanted to join *MY* Crystalized rewrite google doc. Yeah, hope that wasn't too awkward. I felt like I had some decent concepts, like the New Ninja being played more seriously and being led by Ronin, who is working a job for cash but also respects Nya and misses her, and I had some really good ideas for how Harumi could have been done well. Really sincere and genuine question: could I at least provide a minor bit of help in the editing? Like on your google doc or something? I really feel like we think similarly about this show and how it's inspired us both to think critically about media and to invent our own storyline concepts. Ninjago's inspired me a great deal, and there's a ton of value in seeing what the series does well and what it does poorly. I get it if you want to minimize the people involved in this project, but I really do think our collaboration could make the process more fun and the result more complete. Also I promise not to be a Negative Nadakhan, because the Star Wars fandom taught me that there's nothing worse than a hater. That's the beauty of it, the Ninjago fandom is generally pretty forgiving. (Because our content has never been perfect.) No one's gonna bully you online for doing something they don't agree with in this rewrite. Don't be afraid to take characters in new directions. Regardless, I'll be following the updates with great anticipation because your content is epic. Thanks for being such a professional.

Things I would think would work are 1. Wu dying while fighting the Crystal King 2. A better grief arc for Kai and Jay 3. A better Nya storyline 4. No Harumi redemption or change it drastically 5. Make the battle actually seem big
any character that we really need closure for is like Harumi (Please no hate this is just my opinon pls🥺) like okay we see her with the police commissioner and it is implied that she might go to jail but like but it would be nice to see her as a good guy in Dragons Rising if she were to return Like Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain and Doc Wyatt confirmed that harumi’s feelings for Lloyd were there but they are complicated and Tommy Andrason had a whole other view point and I am guessing that is what caused the clashing writing in Crystalized cause Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke wrote the better episodes where we see her looking guilty and wanted to redeem her you could tell they wanted to redeem her from the start but they were too many writers to have a good redemption arc but Tommy left the show and if they like her character soooo much wouldn’t that mean that they would be more willingly and likely to want to bring her back? Like I think if it were up to them they would like I said the controversy probably did a lot of speaking and decision making for them but they did not say she is dead and there are a lot of other old characters that we have not seen yet and it is not only Harumi but also Lloyd’s oni form and how he treated Garmadon Vs Harumi and how they are “supporting a toxic relationship” which I really don’t think that is what they were even trying to do here imo honestly why do people still say it is a toxic ship if they both want to make up? Harumi is no longer mad at lloyd now that she knows the truth and lloyd forgave harumi( i know everyone is mad about this but forgiveness does not mean you are letting this person back in your life and that does not mean you trust them and they are in the same place as they were in before. it simply means letting go of the poison and all the toxic thoughts and no longer holding onto a grudge.) so i don't see any reason why they can just move on and be friends or a couple and i hate it when people say harumi has done lot of bad things to lloyd which is true but if lloyd wants to give her another chance then its his choice so i don't see the issue and harumi is no longer mad at him and already avenged her parents by helping lloyd and Garmadon defeat the overlord so she has no reason to be a villain anymore so i don't see the harm in them trying to move on from the past and try and be friends and Nya, they gave her back her powers but they managed to fix the two of them in Dragons Rising and everyone is happy why not try and do the same to Harumi like I am taking it 50% want her back and 50% don’t want her back but if they would do it right and not make llorumi happen they could please both sides like there is gonna be controversy either way so at least show us what happened or flashback best case they just bring her back and show us where her and Lloyd stand now in their complicated relationship cause her ending in Crystalized was left pretty open-ended like you can’t just leave THAT up to interpretation like too big of a gap to guess if we need to know what happened like seasons 4 and 5 cause apparently i think we are only getting season 2 next year so if it is 1 season per year and imo by the time they get to it people might change their minds on Harumi and maybe more people would want her back then before people chance their minds all the time the backslash from Crystalized would have probably died down by then

I really feel that cryatallized could have done so much with Nya but just threw it out the window. This is why I just feel Cryatallized should have got an ending like possessions over 2 episodes (44 mins) and then wrapped everything up with a pace.

@@adenweiner5573 Im not sure if anyone else read your rewrite but, as a writer myself, I thought it was well done and it seems like a good way to start off Harumi's redemption, compared to how the show handled it, minor changes but, in the end made all the difference in making it more... realistic? I'm not sure what word I'm searching for there but, just to let you know I like the way you wrote it, very well done !!
@@AshleyTeaFox omg thanks this is also how i thought the original ending should have gone like Tommy Andrason said he wanted to leave all of the characters in a happy place cause he was leaving and therefore ninjago can start anew again as everything is at peace i can see where he is coming from i did like the happy ending although the other ending the original could have been really good as well lloyd taking the place of the Crystal King and having the ninja and harumi off course try to bring him back to normal having the ninja remind lloyd of the good times and harumi admitting her wrong doings and apologizes and how she always liked him and cared for him but felt conflicted and that he is a good person and this is not him and lloyd can struggle and harumi adds on that he is strong and that he has always been strong and resilient everything she could not be but wants to try and become and how he is a real hero and then he struggles once more so harumi goes in for a hug (not a kiss cause that would cause controversy) and then the other ninjas join in and he returns to his regular self off course breaking down and apologizing for what he has done and off course having Master Wu and Garmadon die for real this time and then they all clean up the monstary or something like that what do u think? i think this is the type of ending most people probably would wanted cause the trailer made the season look like there would be consequences and endgame style so yeah and harumi and lloyd would make a deal with the commissioner that she would help with the monstary and then go to jail what do u think? therefore it is like a combination happy ending and angst what do u think?
@adenweiner5573 I like the way you wrote in that Harumi finally admits her wrongdoings, and maybe that could also be thrown in that she stops blaming the ninjas for her parents death even though it was technically their fault and, having Wu and Garmadon killed off would be a good end that would likely enviably bring the ninjas closer together in the end, and it would bring an end to the constant question of: Is Wu really dead? As we saw a fake out in Season 3, I believe, but we found out later he was brought back as a cyborg, I think (Pardon my memory, always has been a little fuzzy) and the very technical "death" if you would even call it so in the Hands of Time season, basically what I'm trying to say is it would bring the plot full circle from start to finish and the way you wrote it out would be a perfect end to such a beloved series, especially with the hug to save Lloyd, which I thought was sweet and something the show would actually do, again very good idea for a rewritten ending I loved reading it, it was super enjoyable !!
If you have to “rewrite” a piece of fiction that differs from the original work. In my opinion, that just tells you how bad it was. Funny enough, I did it for Crystalized and the FNAF movie: but sadly I don’t have the “power” to share my work. (Mainly because it won’t be canon ever, so I lose motivation that it’s not worth it and I’m just lazy)

Oh this actually makes me so happy. I’ve only recently gotten back into Ninjago since I never watched past season 6. And hearing about the new dragon rising series, I really wanted to catch up. Watching crystallized was so disappointing to me. It felt like they were trying to make their own Avengers Endgame and they flopped so hard. Good luck man!!!
To be honest crystalized should've been a civil war season, i mean seabound ended with nya gone, so the ninjas are having bad moments so they will get divided because of there arguments, nya's sacrificed ruind the daynamic between the team

i feel like i'm the only one who liked Crystalized and liked harumi being redeemed but yeah like everyone i totally agree IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE IN ONE EPISODE LET ALONG 30 SECONDS OR SOMETHING?????? it should have been through the course of the season and ep 17 Return to Prievel's eye was the perfect time to shine some light on this and have her begin that path of redemption i really really thought they were gonna do this but no...they didn't yeah i do agree she is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (thought the controversy of her portrayal in Crystalized would die down by now i mean it has been a year and a half almost) I really hope he gives her a better redemption arc than what we got i think harumi was great up until ep 17 of Crystalized i think that is where things started to go downhill with harumi's character, based on the previous episode she did seem pretty hesitate to kill lloyd and looked like she was trying to have a heart to heart and then he drags her out of the oni temple and after that episode i thought yessss!!! now harumi is gonna go to the good side but i was wrong, so i would make lloyd and harumi have a conversation as they go through the jungle harumi would once again try and convince lloyd to join so he would not get hurt and lloyd would then proceed to tell her, i think it would go something like this but i have never written before so please take i lightly and don't be too harsh please Harumi: Lloyd, where are were going Lloyd: where are we going, we're getting out of here that's where we're going Harumi: this place, brings back old memories doesn’t it? Lloyd: yeah it does, ( he keeps on swinging his katana to keep the leaves out of his way) Harumi: Lloyd if you would just listen to me and join the Crystal King- Lloyd then turn to Harumi Lloyd: why? why Harumi why are you doing this? the overlord is gonna destroy everything including you, trust me, once he's done with you he'll betray you just like he did to my dad. Harumi: The overlord says in order to end all conflict one side must win and that’s the dark side, he says that there will be peace in the dark, that’s all I ever wanted Lloyd, why do u think I resurrected your dad, I knew you ninja couldn’t handle any threat that came in your way but your father can, after all he did destroy the great devour, the same monstrous snake that you and your ninja failed to stop and took my parents away. Just stop!! (He falls on the floor) Lloyd: Just stop, stop trying to break me more than I already am, (crying) He feels a warm soft hand touch his shoulder, he looks up to find Harumi staring back at him with soft eyes, no hate in them just sympathy. Harumi: Lloyd…..I….. Then they hear the the crystal heard dragons coming, and they both run next to one of the trees, Harumi looks at Lloyd but he just turns away in sadness. Harumi: Lloyd… Lloyd: stop just don’t my friends are dead, everyone I’ve known and love is dead, Harumi: well not everyone Harumi tries to hold his hand but he brushes it away Harumi: I…I thought you loved me Lloyd: yeah..I did He meets Harumi’s gaze with sadness in his eyes then looks away Then the bounty shows up and Harumi is in shock and confusion and anger, Harumi: lloyd, lloyd look Lloyd: (sees the bounty) their…their alive Harumi: but how? I thought I? The crystal herd is then heard, Harumi looks at the bounty and then looks at lloyd Harumi: Go Lloyd: What? Harumi: go go now, Lloyd: but Harumi: I’ll hold them off go Lloyd: but what about you- Harumi: I’ll be fine your friends need you Lloyd go go now while you still have the chance, He runs then takes one last glance at Harumi Lloyd: I failed to save you once, I promise I won’t fail to save you a second time. Harumi: smiles, Lloyd returns it and Lloyd goes off the Destiny’s bounty with a newfound hope that maybe…just maybe Harumi can change. So that is how I would do 17, not much changes but I figured this might be the best way to go, she doesn’t go immediately to the side of good but has a better understanding of Lloyd and what she is doing she will turn to the good side but anyways what do u think? Yeah i really hope they all come back especially Harumi like okay i know that she is pretty controversial with her portrayal in crystallized i see why some people think that she won't come back or don't want her back but these are my reasons on why i think she might come back like okay we have not seen Skylor or Pixal or Vania yet we haven't seen any old characters yet in season 1 or in the season 2 trailer and she is not dead that is the only hope i am holding on too, and it wasn't just harumi who was portrayed badly, so was lloyd and nya but they were fixed in Dragons Rising and now everybody loves them again? like it was that bad in Crystallized? i get it was controversial but i didn't think it was this bad! this is what got me holding onto hope: - Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain that's what i've been hearing and also believe that Harumi is redeemable (I do believe Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke do understand her character and her relationship with Lloyd they see the human within her and see that she has some goodness within herself and it could have been a good redemption arc there were too many writers for that) - we did not see any other side characters yet - she is not dead cause they did not confirm that she died or any other character had died in the merge if they are all still alive so is harumi if nothing is confirmed - She just got revived in season 16 and we did not see her in 4 years since her death in hunted and she is not dead so they cannot just throw her out she is alive if was dead that would be a different story but I hope she is not otherwise her return in Crystalized would be totally pointless so yeah those are CORRECTION WERE those were my pathetic reasons and beliefs on why i think she is coming back... but these reasons are pretty pathetic reasons right? like okay if no other side character ends up showing up by the end of the show, like you've mentioned Pixal, Wu, Garmadon, Skylor, Dareth then i would be totally cool with harumi not showing up HOWEVER!!!!! if all side character BUT HARUMI end up showing up here is what i will tell the creators of Ninjago quote Heather Chandler (from Heathers Musical, first lyric from the song Candy Store) Heather Chandler: Are we gonna have a problem? There were SO MANY things that bugged me in crystallised, but one thing that I would suggest is leaving nya getting her powers back because that actually makes sense, but I REALLY wish they made nya instead of being happy about eating her powers but making her scared about getting her powers because of the possibility of becoming nyad again (also wish nya’s return was treated MUCH better, and defo more of the OG nyad) ( I ALSO REALLY WISH NINJAGO KEPT THE mr. E= Echo zane! Because that would have been SUCH a good plot twist
I would wrote ninjago crystalized i would have the first 5 episodes focus on the ninja, benthomaar & glutinus trying to reclaim merlopia after the merlopian invasions since the events of ninjago seabound would have also been an oppurtunity to showoff the scuba suits for cole and kai after this arc the restoring nya arc would play the same as it originally did but aspheera would gain nya's waterpowers upon draining them. I would also make the crystal council do a whole lot more have the ninja faceoff against the crystal council multiple times like have vangelis take out zane instead of some dragonite maybe even add villains like clouse, nadakhan, acronix & krux to the crystal council as well & maybe remove mr f from the crystal council since he didn't do much and it was a huge missed oppurtunity not only to have mr e/f be echo zane but for zane to have a rematch with mr f like when zane fought mr e in sons of garmadon
I also want to do a rewrite, just of the show in general. I love Ninjago but I think the show has problems and flaws and missed several opportunities with the story, world-building and characters. It's a project for fun and to improve my creative writing.

It‘s not the first Ninjago rewrite I’ve seen. On UA-cam, you will also find a Rebooted Rewrite by a Creator named „Prentice1215“ and a Skybound rewrite that‘s currently relaxing in my „Watch later“ playlist. Maybe you can watch them one day too. About your own rewrite: I am really curious. Especially about the „crazy directions“ in which you want to take the characters. It sounds really interesting and while I have some guesses as to what you mean by that, the possibilities are endless. I myself do not have very good experience with Ninjago Fanfictions. The last one I read was a very disturbing Greenflame Fanfiction and the only good ones I found were moreso parodies of Ninjago than stories written as actual Ninjago Fan content, but yours has potential.
Hello confession, bit of a weird one but hearing crusty unironically suggest web of masks kind of gives relief that a Harumi redemption is far from the worst thing to exist. In fact I can argue it can be one of the most beautiful things to happen potentially and build on her mature foundation of the oni trilogy.

@@Garmadork the original one was scrapped. In it Lloyd used more of his Oni form in the final battle and lost himself to it, becoming the new overlord essentially. Then the ninjas had to face him and bring him back to the good side. And also nya never came back as a person, she remembered who she was but stayed one with the ocean
So Nasakahn returns and I think Harumi Not cause you're Loved her Return so much ? Nah Just joking, think it 's gone be interessting and you could make a Stopmotion later (with Help of other creators)
HEY BendoBricks there is a way to fix the overlord but they need to change his story the overlord need to be oni and dragon just like the fsm after his battle with fsm he lost most of his power and that's why they managed to defeat him in season 2 and 3 he wasnt at his full strength and he order the oni to not attack yet he need more conflict to restore his full power he need his full power to open a gate way to a place that only light exist and the oni Loyd form should have been used in season 10 aginst the oni and he defeat them but the overlord well bring them back later and he slowly start to restore his full power and season 15 happens too early so it needs to be delayed the overlord need to be the final villan so dont bring him back unless you wanted to end the show let pretend season 15 didn't happen now in dragon rising the reason the merge happened is the result of the battle between the fsm and the overlord they were very powerful and the most powerful being no one come even close to there strength there fight result in the merge after the fsm imprison the overlord because he can't be destroyed he is immortal so he weekend him and after the fight the fsm was weekend as well so he decided to ask the source dragons to give him some of there powers the fsm created some realm and the overlord created others as well like the coursed realm what do you thing about this idea season 15 happens too ealry that was there mistake and having more than 5 write and look what happen sorry about my English what do you think
I think crystallized is hands down the worst season of the show. It’s god awful. That being said, the season did have some interesting concepts that could’ve been good, so I am excited to see what you will end up writing

Crystallized on the other hand has many continuity errors, miss uses characters, brings back characters that never should’ve came back, has character assassination and forever tainted the amazing ending of Seabound. That’s why I dislike the season more than hands of time

My wishes and hopes for this would be that...
-...Dareth doesn't suddenly disappear and like Skylor stays there for the rest of the entire season after she returns.
-...Ronin is given a better plot (the island ruined him).
-...Misako shows up earlier.
-...Benthomaar appears in the finale dressed as a king with a army of Merlopians (we all love zippy but it should be made clear that Benthomaar is a king).
-...many supporting characters speak in the finale and that more characters (like the elementalmasters) appear.
-...Partially rewrite Harumi's plot.
-...to make the advice of the Crystal King appear more often (after the part with the primeval's eye they either appeared little or only appeared again in the finale.
-...Nya builds the Samurai-X-Mech herself (and not Pixal), like earlier.
-...Nya is generally given a better storyline (but her getting her powers back should be left as it wouldn't make any sense in relation to Kai in season 11).
-...make the finale more emotional through flashbacks (for which there were enough good opportunities)
-...in Crystalized someone dies (there are so many moments where the ninja could have died, but no one died in the entire season).
-...It is not ignored that Wu is also part Oni like Lloyd.
-...It is not ignored that Zane has already defeated the Overlord.
-...Lloyd doesn't forget that Garmadon used to be good as Sensei Garmadon.
-...the return of the ice emperor is interpreted differently
-...Play the Weekend Whip or the Overture instead of Sally's song at the end (Sally song is fantastic but didn't stay with us the entire series and therefore holds fewer memories).

Harumi tries to hold his hand but he brushes it away

He meets Harumi’s gaze with sadness in his eyes then looks away Then the bounty shows up and Harumi is in shock and confusion and anger,

Harumi: smiles, Lloyd returns it and Lloyd goes off the Destiny’s bounty with a newfound hope that maybe…just maybe Harumi can change. So that is how I would do 17, not much changes but I figured this might be the best way to go, she doesn’t go immediately to the side of good but has a better understanding of Lloyd and what she is doing she will turn to the good side but anyways what do u think? THIS. This is the kind of creation/criticism that I admire and aspire to do! As someone who's also dissatisfied with another beloved show of mine in recent months, in terms of execution and creativity, I also have taken up personal projects like this (mainly thru art with snippets of writing) to construct a more interesting and fulfilling version of said series.
In a world where it's super easy to critique something into dust and be frustrated with a final product, I've always admired fans who actually take the pieces of the thing they dislike and actually rebuild it into something creative and satisfying. Creating ANYTHING (especially entertainment) is far harder than some people realize - just because its done professionally doesn't make it inherently easier - but using one's frustration (and love) over something and funneling that energy into making a better product, story, world, etc., is always wonderful and heartwarming.
From one creative to another, Bendo, you have my respect, support, and anticipation for your Re-Crystallized rewrite!!💜

So excited to hear the inside story of the creative process! Wanna make an inspiring fantasy epic using 22-minute Lego blocks and products on a minimal budget? I hear they call that Hageman Syndrome. Or at least I do.
I'm truly looking forward to see what you've got for this, and I now feel rather stupid for asking you if you wanted to join *MY* Crystalized rewrite google doc. Yeah, hope that wasn't too awkward. I felt like I had some decent concepts, like the New Ninja being played more seriously and being led by Ronin, who is working a job for cash but also respects Nya and misses her, and I had some really good ideas for how Harumi could have been done well.
Really sincere and genuine question: could I at least provide a minor bit of help in the editing? Like on your google doc or something? I really feel like we think similarly about this show and how it's inspired us both to think critically about media and to invent our own storyline concepts. Ninjago's inspired me a great deal, and there's a ton of value in seeing what the series does well and what it does poorly. I get it if you want to minimize the people involved in this project, but I really do think our collaboration could make the process more fun and the result more complete. Also I promise not to be a Negative Nadakhan, because the Star Wars fandom taught me that there's nothing worse than a hater.
That's the beauty of it, the Ninjago fandom is generally pretty forgiving. (Because our content has never been perfect.) No one's gonna bully you online for doing something they don't agree with in this rewrite. Don't be afraid to take characters in new directions.
Regardless, I'll be following the updates with great anticipation because your content is epic. Thanks for being such a professional.

It’s an absolutely stellar show and honestly when comparing seasons 1-4 of MK to 1-4 of Ninjago, it’s pretty damn close in terms of which is better.
This sparks so much creativity in the comments, I hope you manage to realize this plan fully, and maybe even get to arrange something with comic artists or something like that to enhance the storytelling, imagine how awesome that would be?? I’d love to see that. Wishing you well!!

Things I would think would work are
1. Wu dying while fighting the Crystal King
2. A better grief arc for Kai and Jay
3. A better Nya storyline
4. No Harumi redemption or change it drastically
5. Make the battle actually seem big
Seriously crystalized was marketed as the ending for the show but it didn't feel like a series finale i mean we didnt get closure to the characters
any character that we really need closure for is like Harumi (Please no hate this is just my opinon pls🥺)

but it would be nice to see her as a good guy in Dragons Rising if she were to return Like Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain and Doc Wyatt confirmed that harumi’s feelings for Lloyd were there but they are complicated and Tommy Andrason had a whole other view point and I am guessing that is what caused the clashing writing in Crystalized cause Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke wrote the better episodes where we see her looking guilty and wanted to redeem her you could tell they wanted to redeem her from the start but they were too many writers to have a good redemption arc but Tommy left the show and if they like her character soooo much wouldn’t that mean that they would be more willingly and likely to want to bring her back? Like I think if it were up to them they would like I said the controversy probably did a lot of speaking and decision making for them but they did not say she is dead and there are a lot of other old characters that we have not seen yet and it is not only Harumi but also Lloyd’s oni form and how he treated Garmadon Vs Harumi and how they are “supporting a toxic relationship” which I really don’t think that is what they were even trying to do here imo honestly why do people still say it is a toxic ship if they both want to make up? Harumi is no longer mad at lloyd now that she knows the truth and lloyd forgave harumi( i know everyone is mad about this but forgiveness does not mean you are letting this person back in your life and that does not mean you trust them and they are in the same place as they were in before. it simply means letting go of the poison and all the toxic thoughts and no longer holding onto a grudge.)
so i don't see any reason why they can just move on and be friends or a couple and i hate it when people say harumi has done lot of bad things to lloyd which is true but if lloyd wants to give her another chance then its his choice so i don't see the issue and harumi is no longer mad at him and already avenged her parents by helping lloyd and Garmadon defeat the overlord so she has no reason to be a villain anymore so i don't see the harm in them trying to move on from the past and try and be friends and Nya, they gave her back her powers but they managed to fix the two of them in Dragons Rising and everyone is happy why not try and do the same to Harumi like I am taking it 50% want her back and 50% don’t want her back but if they would do it right and not make llorumi happen they could please both sides like there is gonna be controversy either way so at least show us what happened or flashback best case they just bring her back and show us where her and Lloyd stand now in their complicated relationship cause her ending in Crystalized was left pretty open-ended like you can’t just leave THAT up to interpretation like too big of a gap to guess if we need to know what happened like seasons 4 and 5 cause apparently i think we are only getting season 2 next year so if it is 1 season per year and imo by the time they get to it people might change their minds on Harumi and maybe more people would want her back then before people chance their minds all the time the backslash from Crystalized would have probably died down by then
It's like my favorite season, but it's far from perfect, but the idea is so good

I really feel that cryatallized could have done so much with Nya but just threw it out the window. This is why I just feel Cryatallized should have got an ending like possessions over 2 episodes (44 mins) and then wrapped everything up with a pace.

I really hope he gives Harumi a better redemption arc than what we got i think harumi was great up until ep 17 of Crystalized i think that is where things started to go downhill with harumi's character, based on the previous episode she did seem pretty hesitate to kill lloyd and looked like she was trying to have a heart to heart and then he drags her out of the oni temple and after that episode i thought yessss!!! now harumi is gonna go to the good side but i was wrong, so i would make lloyd and harumi have a conversation as they go through the jungle harumi would once again try and convince lloyd to join so he would not get hurt and lloyd would then proceed to tell her, i think it would go something like this but i have never written before so please take i lightly and don't be too harsh please

@@adenweiner5573 Im not sure if anyone else read your rewrite but, as a writer myself, I thought it was well done and it seems like a good way to start off Harumi's redemption, compared to how the show handled it, minor changes but, in the end made all the difference in making it more... realistic? I'm not sure what word I'm searching for there but, just to let you know I like the way you wrote it, very well done !!

Tommy Andrason said he wanted to leave all of the characters in a happy place cause he was leaving and therefore ninjago can start anew again as everything is at peace i can see where he is coming from i did like the happy ending although the other ending the original could have been really good as well lloyd taking the place of the Crystal King and having the ninja and harumi off course try to bring him back to normal having the ninja remind lloyd of the good times and harumi admitting her wrong doings and apologizes and how she always liked him and cared for him but felt conflicted and that he is a good person and this is not him and lloyd can struggle and harumi adds on that he is strong and that he has always been strong and resilient everything she could not be but wants to try and become and how he is a real hero and then he struggles once more so harumi goes in for a hug (not a kiss cause that would cause controversy) and then the other ninjas join in and he returns to his regular self off course breaking down and apologizing for what he has done and off course having Master Wu and Garmadon die for real this time and then they all clean up the monstary or something like that what do u think? i think this is the type of ending most people probably would wanted cause the trailer made the season look like there would be consequences and endgame style so yeah and harumi and lloyd would make a deal with the commissioner that she would help with the monstary and then go to jail what do u think? therefore it is like a combination happy ending and angst what do u think?
@adenweiner5573 I like the way you wrote in that Harumi finally admits her wrongdoings, and maybe that could also be thrown in that she stops blaming the ninjas for her parents death even though it was technically their fault and, having Wu and Garmadon killed off would be a good end that would likely enviably bring the ninjas closer together in the end, and it would bring an end to the constant question of: Is Wu really dead? As we saw a fake out in Season 3, I believe, but we found out later he was brought back as a cyborg, I think (Pardon my memory, always has been a little fuzzy) and the very technical "death" if you would even call it so in the Hands of Time season, basically what I'm trying to say is it would bring the plot full circle from start to finish and the way you wrote it out would be a perfect end to such a beloved series, especially with the hug to save Lloyd, which I thought was sweet and something the show would actually do, again very good idea for a rewritten ending I loved reading it, it was super enjoyable !!

In my opinion, that just tells you how bad it was. Funny enough, I did it for Crystalized and the FNAF movie: but sadly I don’t have the “power” to share my work. (Mainly because it won’t be canon ever, so I lose motivation that it’s not worth it and I’m just lazy)

Oh this actually makes me so happy. I’ve only recently gotten back into Ninjago since I never watched past season 6. And hearing about the new dragon rising series, I really wanted to catch up. Watching crystallized was so disappointing to me. It felt like they were trying to make their own Avengers Endgame and they flopped so hard. Good luck man!!!
To be honest crystalized should've been a civil war season, i mean seabound ended with nya gone, so the ninjas are having bad moments so they will get divided because of there arguments, nya's sacrificed ruind the daynamic between the team

i feel like i'm the only one who liked Crystalized and liked harumi being redeemed but yeah like everyone i totally agree IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE IN ONE EPISODE LET ALONG 30 SECONDS OR SOMETHING?????? it should have been through the course of the season and ep 17 Return to Prievel's eye was the perfect time to shine some light on this and have her begin that path of redemption i really really thought they were gonna do this but no...they didn't yeah i do agree she is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (thought the controversy of her portrayal in Crystalized would die down by now i mean it has been a year and a half almost)
I really hope he gives her a better redemption arc than what we got i think harumi was great up until ep 17 of Crystalized i think that is where things started to go downhill with harumi's character, based on the previous episode she did seem pretty hesitate to kill lloyd and looked like she was trying to have a heart to heart and then he drags her out of the oni temple and after that episode i thought yessss!!! now harumi is gonna go to the good side but i was wrong, so i would make lloyd and harumi have a conversation as they go through the jungle harumi would once again try and convince lloyd to join so he would not get hurt and lloyd would then proceed to tell her, i think it would go something like this but i have never written before so please take i lightly and don't be too harsh please

Just stop!! (He falls on the floor) Lloyd: Just stop, stop trying to break me more than I already am, (crying)
He feels a warm soft hand touch his shoulder, he looks up to find Harumi staring back at him with soft eyes, no hate in them just sympathy.
Harumi: Lloyd…..I…..
Then they hear the the crystal heard dragons coming, and they both run next to one of the trees, Harumi looks at Lloyd but he just turns away in sadness.
Harumi: Lloyd…
Lloyd: stop just don’t my friends are dead, everyone I’ve known and love is dead,
Harumi: well not everyone
Harumi tries to hold his hand but he brushes it away
Harumi: I…I thought you loved me

He meets Harumi’s gaze with sadness in his eyes then looks away Then the bounty shows up and Harumi is in shock and confusion and anger,

Harumi: smiles, Lloyd returns it and Lloyd goes off the Destiny’s bounty with a newfound hope that maybe…just maybe Harumi can change. So that is how I would do 17, not much changes but I figured this might be the best way to go, she doesn’t go immediately to the side of good but has a better understanding of Lloyd and what she is doing she will turn to the good side but anyways what do u think? That is only for Return to Primevel’s eye! Lemme know what u think?

Yeah i really hope they all come back especially Harumi like okay i know that she is pretty controversial with her portrayal in crystallized i see why some people think that she won't come back or don't want her back but these are my reasons on why i think she might come back like okay we have not seen Skylor or Pixal or Vania yet we haven't seen any old characters yet in season 1 or in the season 2 trailer and she is not dead that is the only hope i am holding on too, and it wasn't just harumi who was portrayed badly, so was lloyd and nya but they were fixed in Dragons Rising and now everybody loves them again? like it was that bad in Crystallized? i get it was controversial but i didn't think it was this bad! this is what got me holding onto hope:
- Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain that's what i've been hearing and also believe that Harumi is redeemable (I do believe Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke do understand her character and her relationship with Lloyd they see the human within her and see that she has some goodness within herself and it could have been a good redemption arc there were too many writers for that)
- we did not see any other side characters yet
- she is not dead cause they did not confirm that she died or any other character had died in the merge if they are all still alive so is harumi if nothing is confirmed
- She just got revived in season 16 and we did not see her in 4 years since her death in hunted and she is not dead so they cannot just throw her out she is alive if was dead that would be a different story but I hope she is not otherwise her return in Crystalized would be totally pointless so yeah those are CORRECTION WERE those were my pathetic reasons and beliefs on why i think she is coming back... but these reasons are pretty pathetic reasons right?

There were SO MANY things that bugged me in crystallised, but one thing that I would suggest is leaving nya getting her powers back because that actually makes sense, but I REALLY wish they made nya instead of being happy about eating her powers but making her scared about getting her powers because of the possibility of becoming nyad again (also wish nya’s return was treated MUCH better, and defo more of the OG nyad) ( I ALSO REALLY WISH NINJAGO KEPT THE mr. E= Echo zane! Because that would have been SUCH a good plot twist

I would wrote ninjago crystalized i would have the first 5 episodes focus on the ninja, benthomaar & glutinus trying to reclaim merlopia after the merlopian invasions since the events of ninjago seabound would have also been an oppurtunity to showoff the scuba suits for cole and kai after this arc the restoring nya arc would play the same as it originally did but aspheera would gain nya's waterpowers upon draining them. I would also make the crystal council do a whole lot more have the ninja faceoff against the crystal council multiple times like have vangelis take out zane instead of some dragonite maybe even add villains like clouse, nadakhan, acronix & krux to the crystal council as well & maybe remove mr f from the crystal council since he didn't do much and it was a huge missed oppurtunity not only to have mr e/f be echo zane but for zane to have a rematch with mr f like when zane fought mr e in sons of garmadon

I also want to do a rewrite, just of the show in general. I love Ninjago but I think the show has problems and flaws and missed several opportunities with the story, world-building and characters. It's a project for fun and to improve my creative writing.
If this is meant to be the last season of the show, there is no reason to give Anya her powers back, if she even returns to human at all.

But in all seriousness, it‘s cool to see you work on something like this since this season had a lot of potential. It‘s not the first Ninjago rewrite I’ve seen. On UA-cam, you will also find a Rebooted Rewrite by a Creator named „Prentice1215“ and a Skybound rewrite that‘s currently relaxing in my „Watch later“ playlist. Maybe you can watch them one day too.
About your own rewrite: I am really curious. Especially about the „crazy directions“ in which you want to take the characters. It sounds really interesting and while I have some guesses as to what you mean by that, the possibilities are endless. I myself do not have very good experience with Ninjago Fanfictions. The last one I read was a very disturbing Greenflame Fanfiction and the only good ones I found were moreso parodies of Ninjago than stories written as actual Ninjago Fan content, but yours has potential.

Hello confession, bit of a weird one but hearing crusty unironically suggest web of masks kind of gives relief that a Harumi redemption is far from the worst thing to exist.

@@Garmadork the original one was scrapped. In it Lloyd used more of his Oni form in the final battle and lost himself to it, becoming the new overlord essentially. Then the ninjas had to face him and bring him back to the good side. And also nya never came back as a person, she remembered who she was but stayed one with the ocean

there is a way to fix the overlord but they need to change his story the overlord need to be oni and dragon just like the fsm after his battle with fsm he lost most of his power and that's why they managed to defeat him in season 2 and 3 he wasnt at his full strength and he order the oni to not attack yet he need more conflict to restore his full power he need his full power to open a gate way to a place that only light exist and the oni Loyd form should have been used in season 10 aginst the oni and he defeat them but the overlord well bring them back later and he slowly start to restore his full power and season 15 happens too early so it needs to be delayed the overlord need to be the final villan so dont bring him back unless you wanted to end the show let pretend season 15 didn't happen now in dragon rising the reason the merge happened is the result of the battle between the fsm and the overlord they were very powerful and the most powerful being no one come even close to there strength there fight result in the merge after the fsm imprison the overlord because he can't be destroyed he is immortal so he weekend him and after the fight the fsm was weekend as well so he decided to ask the source dragons to give him some of there powers the fsm created some realm and the overlord created others as well like the coursed realm what do you thing about this idea season 15 happens too ealry that was there mistake and having more than 5 write and look what happen sorry about my English what do you think

Crystallized on the other hand has many continuity errors, miss uses characters, brings back characters that never should’ve came back, has character assassination and forever tainted the amazing ending of Seabound. That’s why I dislike the season more than hands of time
