Louisiana Beer Reviews: Weihenstephaner Pilsner

- 5.1% alcohol. 30 IBU. Brewed in Germany.
"Golden-yellow and bright, with 30 bitter units and quite hoppy compared to most of the other Pilsners our Weihenstephaner Pils comes up with a distinctive aroma of hops with a pleasant bitterness. This combination provides a balanced mix and guarantees great enjoyment. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill."

I have one left. It won't last the night. A superb selection every time.
It's a world classic!
Very good review, and definitely worth trying.
Thanks, and you are right!
Agreed! Truly an amazing 🍺 easy A
It sure is! Thanks for watching, Andre. I appreciate it!
Thanks for the review here. Agree this one is a solid A, but can sometimes fall off with age. Lightly floral and hoppy. Very drinkable. That's what Weihenstephaner tends to do in their beers so well. Hard to find a bad beer from them. Nice review!
You're welcome, and thanks. No, I've never had a bad beer from them.
Had this one last night I liked it allot will definly get again
It is oh so nice!
Nice review sounds like a good one .............CHEERS
Thanks, and it sure is. Cheers back to you!
Good review Ron
Thanks, a lot, ABr!
Its a fine beer...... Rate beer does cater more for the hoppy side of snobbery in my book.... nice review Sir.......
You're right. Thanks, Sir!
A fine beer for sure. Don't see it very often though.
Yes, it's only in a few stores, here.
I saw this one the other day but opted for the original instead, which is delicious. I’ll definitely pick up the Pilsner next time!
When you try the pilsner, please let me know what you thought of it.
I certainly will. Have a great day.
Thanks, and you, too!
I don't think I've had their pilsner. Love their original. Their wheat beer is everywhere here but I'm not big on that style
You might like it, though.
I see you have some Cheyenne cigars in the background there, I smoke those a lot now. I like them better than cigarettes. Have you ever tried any alligator meat or jerky?, with you living down there in Louisiana, I just thought I would ask. I tried some gator jerky recently and I though it was pretty good.
Never yet tried 'em, but they are $1.49 a pack at Family Dollar. I have tried alligator meat. It's not my thing, but I probably could be fooled, in a blind taste test. Interestingly, we have two instances of alligators coming into our neighborhood!
A superb brew. Pretty much the benchmark for this style. Cheers!
I agree, SG. Cheers back to you!
its a pretty good beer and i do not regret purchasing a 6 pack yesterday (Richmond VA..... haven't seen locally here in Norfolk/Virginia Beach area). Have to say that in the world of German pilsners there are so so many better ones, and for this legendary brand this brew is a tad disapointing even. Their original lager is better and all things being equal i prefer a pils to a standard lager due to extra bitterness and dryness. Not bad but in world of german pils this is just so so.
I'm sorry you weren't too keen on this, Douglas, but maybe I should revisit this, again, at the end of this year.
I love this Brewery!
I do, too!
Mmmm. A classic beer. Shame ratebeer can be so hard on these. Cheers!
Yes, and it's a good beer! Thanks for watching, Beer By The Numbers. I appreciate it!
Great to be watching again, Jay! Need to get caught up on vids tonight. I've had this Pilsner before and its fantastic!
Thanks for your support, Chris! Yes, this is a delight to have!
A pilsner with hog's head cheese? Perfect together, I imagine! Gotta check this one out. Thank you for reviewing it.
It was a wonderful pairing, Discipline, 007. Discipline. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I had this beer last night. It was slightly sour and the hops were weak. Where exactly on the bottle do I find the date.
I don't know where to find the date, I have to admit. Sorry about the experience.
always amazes me on ratebeer how some beers like this have terrible scores
I know. It amuses me.
Ahoy Ron! I love pilsners. There are so many good one's out there, Iv'e never had this one. As far as Ratebeer, we know how they are, many great beers they give low ratings. Cheers Ron.
You're right, Ralph. Cheers back to you!
Drew Bree’s thumb surgery
Yep. Too bad.
Good review brotha. I tried pilsners (even the salty flensburger) earlier this year. This one is quite all right although Krombacher Pils and Stiegl Pils favs.
Ah, those are two good ones. Thanks for watching, John Gilbert. I appreciate it!
