  • saddleback.com/goodness - When we’re broken inside, waiting for a miracle, and searching for a way out of the valley, it’s easy to think we’ve been abandoned by God. But the difference between our thoughts and God’s hope is everything! Even when life doesn't make sense, we can still find peace, joy, and hope in his goodness. In this message at Saddleback Church, singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman joins Pastor Rick Warren in a discussion about leaning on God when we can’t stand on our own, and how tests of faith can help shape our story.
Steven Curtis Chapman's book, Between Heaven and The Real World-My Story, is now available. You can order the book at stevencurtischapman.com

Times when I don’t know what to pray… I wanna believe that those who know me will pray for me. It is good that when tears but no words come… we have hope in Christian friends, Christian family will remember you in their day. We have a savior who loves us unconditionally even when we don’t feel loved by others. I’m glad this came across my u/ tube channel. I’m so thankful that we have brothers and sisters in Christ who sing like Steve Curtis Chapman that don’t allow fame to get in their heads to think that they are in a better place then we are.

Glad I watched this tonight. I needed it. My youngest daughter died 10 years ago. She was 19 then. She died from her injuries from a car accident at the hand of a drunk driver. She was saved. She gave her life to the Lord when she was in 5th grade. The pain of her gone is still there. 19 years is/was not enough but truly better at 19 and being saved than 100 and not. There are no guarantees of our next breath. Don't delay ! Asked Jesus for forgiveness. Asked Jesus to come into your hearts. Yes one day we all will experience death and cross over into eternity. All you need to be concerned about is Location, Location, Location.

Only people who have been there can say your words, you truly understand so thankful for words that bring hope in the midst of searing pain, thats why i listen and hold onto your testimonies because you understand and qualify. Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability that is real, Jesus wept and if it was good enough for him then its good enough for me. Thank you for sharing. xxxx

Our daughter and her husband lost their first son Silas at around the same time as the Chapmans lost their little angel, Maria. He was born and never left the hospital. His mom stayed with him for 8.5 months until he passed away. This album brought some comfort to us all. Very sad but we look forward to seeing our little Silas with Jesus in heaven.

God bless you Steven and Pastor Rick. I’m so glad that I just found your channel! Pray for me and my 7 year old son Sky. He has a sick Mommy that needs God in her life and she continues to say to my son Sky that there is no God. Pray for us guys we really need it big time.

Because satan came to kill, destroy, and remove that hope for Christ who heals everything in our lives. Minister to your son everyday and may you trust Him fully. Blessings

My 19 year old son died as well. I relate to these guys so much. What they say is truth. "It is the presence of God..."

Then why do I hurt all the time?if I killed myself today nobody would care except my dad. I have no friends who care they just stab me in the back, I don't have a wife or girlfriend or kids. The only reason I haven't killed myself yet is because my dad. When he dies I will be broken beyond anything. I'm just a failure

I am 42 years old and I have never experienced true friendship or love before. I've always had fake friends who pretend to be friends with me but then they always turn their backs on me and God has even turned his back on me no matter how hard or how much I pray and do good things for others and for God I am still so very lost and lonely and longing for someone to love me for me and I might as well give up because I know there's no one out there who will love me and care about me like I would for them so I am not going to try anymore. I guess I'm just too much of a failure in everything that I do

what is the proper name of your god since this word is only a title just like the word Lord? The opposite of god is goddess and of the lord is lady.
