@@privysorrow5120 It's just another time or period in life and it's what you make of it. I personally had a great 2016. Sadly, it sounds like you didn't based on your obvious negativity.

That was great! But I have to say that your capitalisation of the beginning of every word has made my fingers ache. 😊
The interviewer doesn't look like he was actually asking the questions to Julian, seems a different recording.
Thanks for that, he's on form there, some great answers.
Teardrops third album was not "total crap" but actually very good
Bland generation coming...well predicted !
I was there the night he did the mike stand self harming. We also got covered in a liquid from the gods, probably cope pissing on us
The 90s were brilliant maybe this is what he's refering to youth expression which is exactly what the band's of that era delivered,
Nice one, Magus. Any more ?
Tony Mack cheers, no more video but think I have a couple of radio interviews from back then which I hope to upload at some point
He was great up to Jehovakill.
Wow "weve got a bland generation coming up" he wasnt wrong! look at the state of 2016 music/culture!!

Ah good old copey....even back then he had that self deprecating sense of humour.
I don't think you got accused of that when you put out the first album Julian
Cope may be different - but he'll never be predictable
Cope was very wrong about the 3rd Teardrop Explodes Album. It was the right way to go.
I think it's got a few great tunes but I do much prefer his first solo LP.
he is still wearing those same dark yellow tinted Ray-Bans in 2019
He hasn.t won any Ivor Novello awards, unlike many hollow people
