a great series on a subject more pertinent than ever in this debased, materialist landscape we now call "home." there's a lot to be learned from the ancients, west and east. thanks julian cope!
I enjoyed watching this, thanks. I live on the Central Coast California by a really beautiful volcanic rock: Morro Rock. I always get a special feeling looking at "her"---there's something about them rocks.
Julian you missed out Thornborough Henge its bigger and older than Stone Henge. Three massive circles in the shape of Orions belt. love the series though :)
@solar7 I've watched the vids. Got the whole set on DVD. Got the book too. And I live right on top of Avebury. I know what makes a place sacred. Do you?
Julian Cope's fabulously offbeat conjecture takes us for a spin 'round much of unseeen britain, a veiw as to what could have been... perhaps in some bygone era of trancendence like a permanant ego trip with no comedown
Not anymore. It's riddled with holes from past excavations & very unsafe. If everyone was still allowed to walk all over it it would be eroded in no time. It's a sacred mother mound and place of the gods. I don't think you really were allowed up there unless you were a priest.
