However you can tell when you're catching up to someone or when they're catching up on you and you could tell the with every second that past the mustang was pulling further and further away. AMP just does unbelievably great work makes super fast cars usually its their C7s though, looks like they got the ZL1s zeroed in now just need more C6s in the mix

Great video. Crazy how fast that red coyote was for a stock motor 5.0 and basic procharger kit. Seems like it was quicker then heads / cam ported blower 6.2 LT4 cars
@@02autogt a h/c 2650 car is likely easily capable of botton 8s.....since a bolt on c7z went 8s. So all you're seeing are bad combos. Pd blowers have never been a friend of ls stuff. They simply don't move enough air to be efficient. Remember....boost is only a extension of na. If the na motor makes more power the boosted one will too.

the fact that the 10L80 in the zl1 just out shifted that tremec dct in that shelby goes to show what ford and Chevy can do when they work together. that's insane.
@@raionshishi8290 it really did though the cars are very similar in power and weight. gt500 is actually probably a little heavier. and that 10l80 was just shifting faster than the tremec dct in the gt500. they were dead even in the higher gears the camaro actually stopped pulling on top end and they were matched at speed. it's just the engineering behind the 10l80/10r80. it's a very good auto trans and fast

That white ZL1 that won it all was actually slower than the manual C6 ZR1. The ZR1 was pulling ahead and would lose ground to the auto only when he shifted, then pull on it again. ZR1 was the faster car, but the auto in the ZL1 won the race. Kinda shitty running autos against sticks, the auto has such a huge advantage.

I was just there taking video. owner is someone else. but when someone takes the jump, it helps a lot. even the mustang owner said after that he jumped cause he knew he didn't have anything for the white zl1. red mustang and the gray zl1 ended up racing for fun and they were dead even. judging by the final race, you can see how that would have turned out.
