  • Hey guys! I have a few new drugstore makeup products to try out with you all today! And this ones surprised me! I generally tend to overlook the Revlon section at my drugstore, but a few things recently caught my eye. And I was pleasantly surpised by some of these! Have you all tried out this concealer? I hope you enjoy this one! Thanks for stopping by!

UPDATE: The brow product did last two days! Even the swatch on the back of my hand was still there the next day after many hand washings. The concealer I am really liking as well! It wore well, great coverage and so far no breakouts!

Looks great, love the eyelet top. This is a very challenging time in your world. First time is the worst! I've felt it over the past month or so in your videos. (not a complaint, love that you keep it real). Letting go is very difficult for both of you. I read an article while going through this with my oldest. The child becomes more challenging for us. They essentially make home not pleasant to make it easier to leave. I chose not to argue about the little things. He is ready, trust in all that you've taught him. He will continue to need you but your relationship will change, he's a young adult now. Hard as it is to think, this is what you raised him for. One suggestion that was given to me that helped a bit since I'm a BIG crier; cry as much as you want about everything in the time leading up to the event. You'll have gotten rid of the sadness and can focus on the joy and pride that day! Hang in there Mama, it'll be alright :)

When we dropped off our son at college, I managed to hold back the tears until we got back in the car. After that, it was full on waterworks all the way home. It took me the better part of a week to stop randomly bursting into tears. I had no idea I would be that emotional but he's the youngest so it felt like a real milestone. Let yourself feel all the feels. It all works out in the end. 🥰🥺❤️

As someone who is not an independent person, I'd say doing something like the baseball team or going to college is the perfect way to transition. It allows some independence to make choices and learn, but enough structure to feel grounded. From what I saw at college, finding food wasn't the problem, doing laundry was lol.

Such a soft, beautiful look on you. Very pretty! Mandy, as a mom, to 3 grown sons, I know this is an emotional time for you. Letting go of our children's childhoods is hard. We'll always have our memories, of our time with them as children. Now, their going on to make memories on their own. Which, is a really awesome thing for them. My 3 Sons are all in their 30's now with college educations, great careers and families of their own. We're all making beautiful memories together once again. 😊 You take care. 🥰

Both my kids are long gone from home, even living in different states. I love it!! We all learn from mistakes and we all have to make them. Otherwise we won't grow as people. Relax mom, and just let him do his thing.

It was really rough for me too when my only child left for college at 17. I was also caring for my terminally ill mom in our home, so regretfully, missed some of her teen "moments". Then she was gone! Fast forward, she'll be 40 in a month 😱 and we have two very energetic grandkids that we all get to enjoy! There's no do-overs, but there is alot more joy in store, to savor those times.

Hi Toots, I understand your feeling with your son. Does he drive, did he have a job or chores, I think that is so important, because clean clothes don't magically appear, lol, I think nowadays there are too many electronics and not enough common sense. But your a great mom, and he just might surprise you, Top Ramen is good, lol😉❤️

It is normal to worry. I have four kids and the three oldest are out in their own. I have had two move away to the Seattle area (we live in Phoenix). It gets easier with time, but you never stop worrying about them. It was the hardest with the first one moving out.

My experience is that kids who are well loved and cared for at home figure out how to make it in the world. My advice is to be his biggest, most loyal fan. When one feels really seen and accepted with love, one blossoms. This is a big test for parents: you’ve done your teaching and now you get to see him figure out his own world based on values he was taught. (And by the way, grades never really matter unless a kid is failing. Hard to believe but true.)

Very pretty look! High school graduation and what comes after is very stressful! But you have to kind of let go and just let them be! Hopefully you’ve done your job and he’ll be great! I think it’s harder on moms than it is on kids. Luckily he’s having a rehearsal this summer, this will probably tell you how he’ll do this fall at school! You just have to trust that if he needs help he’ll ask! It’s really hard to let go! It takes a lot of prayer and faith that you’ve done your best raising him!!😘

No bursting happy bubbles lol! Your son will be fine 🙂 I say that as a mom who has sent three boys off to college and out into the world. He will figure everything out. Just prepare like a boy scout and then, let go - it's hard, I know. Everything will work out. There will be hiccups, and it is normal to have anxiety. He is going to have an amazing journey and you will be amazed at all he is capable of doing 🙂

I can so relate to all the feelings about your son graduating! Ours graduated last December, and although he is still trying to figure it out, I feel the same way. One minute I see him as the adult he is (in age), and the next minute I see the little chubby baby that he was, and who is definitely not ready! haha! But, God knows all things, and we have done a good job, as I am sure you and your husband have done:). They will figure it out, just as we did. They have listened, they really have:)
BTW, so glad you used the Persona 2 palette! I just bought it and I am excited for it!

As a mom of four grown children (first a girl followed by three boys), I wasn’t too concerned with my daughter as she would always cook and bake alongside me and was very independent. I made sure that my boys knew how to cook, clean a bathroom, do their laundry, and how to sew on a button. They are all grown now and have families of their own. My boys do much of the cooking in the house and have taught their wives things!

Congrats to your son on his grad. At the time my daughter graduated she finished grade 13 and was 19. She had picked her uni and degree. Part way thru due to a few pre-existing health issues she decided to switch gears. She went to Ottawa 🇨🇦 and lived on campus. Although it is hard to don’t worry he will be ok. Care packages now and then are good and they tend to share. Just be there when he needs you.

Ohhhhh how to tell you to just enjoy it and and be so positive - ughhh!! But sooooo much easier said than done i know.😂 my first, son, graduated in 2015- was in lots of trouble and we just could not see how he would progress in life. Such a stressful time with “tough love,” etc, but now he will be 25, found the trades & remodels upscale bathrooms and is working towards his contractor’s license. My 2nd child, daughter, went through NJROTC all thru h.s., graduated 2020, & joined the army to be a medic. We thought, ok this one is on her way. Then, during bootcamp, her appendix burst and she spent the rest of summer in medhold. She became very discouraged after being medically discharged. Though now she is going back to school while her fiance from h.s. is in the NAVY. My last is 16, another daughter, and wants to be an elementary school teacher. We just have to see how that goes. My husband jokes that she will never move out and i am wondering if that is almost wishful thinking after the other 2!! :) It sounds like you arent exactly going thru that, which doesnt change the worry you still will have, but may help emphasize what a great job you have done with them to build that foundation for you to enjoy all of the great things they are all doing/experiencing.
I guess you will really just have to laugh and cry through it to get to the other side- and it will be there 🧡👍🧡👍 big hugs for you and congrats to you and your son! 🎉

Funny I was planning to get the candid concealer because of your review and the only reason I end up getting the new colorstay 5-in-1 is only because candid did not have a good shade available for my tone, but dolorstay did. Anyways, been quite happy with the colorstay concealer and find that it looks better on me when I don’t set it (otherwise I see the crepiness). It does lasts all day and so would love to know how it compares with the candid. For all we know could just be the same formula just rebranded.

Good luck with the graduation! He'll be fine. You need to let go of the illusion of control that we all seem to have until our kids leave. They were never really ours to begin with! He has a support system already with baseball, so he'll have his people. He will also be able to handle the challenges that come - kids are quick and resilient. Also, don't be afraid to let him make mistakes. That will be his best teacher. I know your heart is aching and anxious, though. I remember that feeling...

Try to think: 1. He CAN handle it. You did more than you realize to prepare him. He watched you all these years; he's got more on the ball than you actually taught him deliberately in words. 2. He's not alone -- the adults in his program/team/school/dorm/whatever are used to helping young adults. 3. It's not like he won't be able to check in with you to ask questions -- he's not shipping off to Antarctica! Hang in there, Mom! You'll get through it. But you'll always miss the little boy you used to have. I sure do miss my little boys, but love my twenty- something sons.💖💖

Sorry have 2 more things to say (tho I already commented earlier). 1) I have a new discovery using my brow liquid pen as a eyeliner creates the most natural line and doesn’t smudge. 2) I hv 2 kids, 1 still in college and 1 graduated from college last year and working now. Realize that as parent, the worry never ends. You worry all through highschhool then when they leave for college, then worry about them being on their own, then when they graduate you worry about them finding a good job, then worry about if they are happy with their life & at their job, now I am at the point worry about them finding a good life companion…So I just tell myself that no matter the good/bad, I am always here for them whenever they need me : ). I tell them they can come home anytime, any weekend we will be here for them : ).

First of all, parenting YAs is so much more difficult than parenting babies, toddlers and teens!! It really is rough not being able to make all the decisions for them and making sure they are ok. Second (but probably more importantly), encourage a mission ASAP! Don't let the scholarship get in the way of that. I really wish we had done that last year! Now...well, I really don't know. Hoping and praying for good, righteous decisions ahead!

My daughter just turned 21 and she spent her spring quarter in Cape Town South Africa. It was very scary knowing that I couldn’t just jump in the car or in an airplane if she needed me. She also doesn’t know how to cook much (unless it involves dessert). Well, she has survived. She has had to shop and cook for herself. She will be home in 2 weeks. It was much more nerve wracking for me than her.

At first that concealer looked like it was doing a good job with coverage but towards the middle of the video it looks like too much coverage was lost near your inner corners. When you grab it and the brush I thought you were going to add more. Oops 😬 Please keep us updated on it. I wish my NEW WalMart still carried Hard Candy. It's been a while since I've seen it at any Walmart's around me. Hate when stores do that. That 3 day claim on the eye brow product? Yeah, I was lol. Please let us know if it was still there after washing your face. Ahh, these companies and their claims, lol...

I feel like the sponge is so unhygenic. I am the only one using mine but still. I find it annoying.
I appreciate your reviews. Congrats on graduation!!! It's happy and stressful all at once. Have tons of tissues and waterproof mascara.

I took the sponge top off several products that have them- I wash thrm with an anti bacterial liquid soap, then replace-- and if I can't- I use a brush to apply in future😁😂

Ok. Hear me out. You want him to fail. Then he has to take a step back. Reevaluate. Come up with a new plan. Then move forward. This process helps him build so much self esteem. He will know that he can handle anything that comes his way. My son went into the Marine Corps and I got the cord cut in a hard core way. No contact 3 months. Besides the occasional letter. Then for the next 10 years he was all around the globe. So it was kind of easier for me because I had zero say one way or another. I just had to trust in the fact that I had raised him the best I could. It may be harder for you because you do have the option to step in and help. It’s just a matter of trying to let them fail just enough to build that knowledge that they are capable of doing it. And then not letting them fail so much that they get discouraged. I am not gonna lie…..letting go of that first baby is so hard. And watching them struggle with their new born adult wings and not stepping in ….. heartbreaking. I was a hot mess the first few months. I would go and just sit In His room a few times a day. Be kind to yourself through this process. It’s a huge adjustment. And it totally changes the dynamics of your relationship. But once you settle into it….it’s awesome.
