I love the bike Agree with you on the heated bars button - why that was removed ? Also totally agree on the rear stop light . That’s a major safety concern as the integrated multi function indicator stop lights are confusing and potentially dangerous to say the least for a car following you . The first mod is gonna be a Denali stop lite and hexcan methinks . Can’t wait to ride one 👍
The excellent BMW dealership CW Motorcycles, Dorchester, Dorset, headed the same way in the summer of 2020 with little advance notice. Had a presence in Dorchester dating back to April 1983 and was founded by Wally Chesshire and Dave Wyndham. Over the years bought seven different BMW bikes there at various intervals - let alone riding kit etc - no regrets. Great service. Now long gone. Sad 😢.
Yes brought my first GS from CW in Dorchester !! Very sad day when they closed, completely different atmosphere there compared with other BMW dealerships, you always felt you were part of a family.
The wind management is extraordinary… I managed 1260km in one day (R1300GS) . How could I do this ? It was easy, the screen cruise control with active radar, made it all straightforward
You should have pushed it onto it's side. See how it takes knocks. I'm worried about the lack of upper crash bars and combined with the boxy upper body it looks like it will get dented very easily.
I never liked it when I saw the original photos, but when I saw it in person at my local dealership I was impressed and I found it more comfortable on my short little legs than I did the GS1300. But I still would not buy one. I've already seen two 1300GSA (used) at forecourts with low millage at around £18k, one was even a 719 spec. Next year we get the clutchless version across the range.
You mentioned what people are saying in the online forums about the integrated lights and the costs if one should drop the bike. You brushed it off by saying the other kind could just break off. But you missed the point, which is the cost of replacing/repairing those integrated lights.
I had a client on a recent tour who's bike had blind spot detection. Yet I could close up and it wouldn't trigger, not sure if it needed a car/ truck as the approaching vehicle rather than a bike. On your next demo ride give it a go.😊
While I’m sure it will be an impressive bike to ride….. sorry but it still looks to me like it fell out of the ugly tree and got hit with sticks on it’s way down! I could not ever see myself turning back to take one last look after I’d parked it 😆 Maybe the designer is a fan of Legoland or something? 🤔
It looks like a 70's table lighter on steroids or a 60's ice-cream freezer on wheels, raised to it's full 920mm seat height it would be the bike for " Land of the Giants". I'm not surprised they've put anti-roll bars on it, I forsee a lot of them going for a lye down 🙃
Since the GS was released a few Months ago, I have been asking as to when/if an adventure model would be released. Now it has, I am not impressed. I'll keep my Tiger.
Don’t like the look, so much.. I’ve got used to it now. It does look better in the skin, very well put together too. However it’s not for me, no more GS’s. I’ve a 2024 S XR and it’s a perfect mix of tour and sport.👍🏻
Too tall, too heavy and too expensive….prefer the standard and I’ve owned the 1250 GSA, I won’t mention the looks😢. Moved to Ducati and I’m not going back…

i love it ..if it rides like the normal GS1300 it will be a blast ..
Looks like there's more passenger legroom to. Excellent ❤
The forged wheels are gorgeous. I’ve had them on my R1300GS, highly recommended
Glad your back boys I've missed your videos,I know you weren't away to long but it was long enough 😂👍👍
looks super super super nice!!!
Merci ! Magnifique machine ! 💚✌🏼
Good video Toby, I find I like the look of the GSA more every time I see it, be great to see a test ride vid.
Thanks buddy. Can’t wait to ride it
Might book another tour just to see your new GSA Toby 😁

Love the Cook-A-Room colourway
also the cubby hits the bar risers

Nice

Just one of them... is a few of my bikes... Versys 650 GT, Honda CRF250L, Honda ADV350, Royal Enfield Classic 350... and I'd still get change!
Seriously what a garage full off s^~t 🤣😜
@markshirley7639 I'd be a troll too if I had to lay next to that obese moose, driven a volvo and own a KTM or BMW. What a cesspit area to live in 🤪

🙄
i am a royal enfieldd Himalayan so there pal
I want to see the new RT.
Yeah looking forward to seeing that one indeed

I’ve had it for 7 months.. it’s perfect. Perhaps he had a fault with his.
ive got a 1300 and it def lights up for motorcycles..
It’s ok he is back in Aus…
I like it ……. Not good as 90s R1100GS with square headlight imo

the option 719 packs imo are a total ripoff
Such an awesome bike. Incredible road presence. A graphics kit will improve its looks.
Oooooow Toby ive ordered mine for March delivery, just like that one but no akro and the ASA.
Phone compartment lid hits handle bar risers, paint won’t last long. Bit of a silly design feature!!
It does suit you. It doesn't even look quite as bad either.
Love it!!! Just wish they had more adventurous colours…

I've heard three GS 1300's running and the engines all sound like a bag of nails.
Only if I wanted to invade Russia would I specify this bike. Give me the 1200 GSA twin cam.
Multistrada V4 Rally
People keep trying to convince themselves it looks good 😅

You’ve lost weight Toby. Best wishes
Thanks buddy. Hope your well
29k fully specified no thanks
Nice video😊 , however that bike is so hideous I found myself checking out the R1250 RS .
The R/S is an awesome bike! Ride safe
Sorry, seen it in the flesh myself, it’s a horrible monstrosity, rather have a Honda bog seat
Agreed.
Been riding BMW's for 40 years...wont be caught dead on this. BMW is a parody now.
Ugly but a real deal breaker is the lack of proper stop light
Esteticamente horrorosa.. Recursos desnecessários... Preço alto.
What a joke…
🙄
🤮🤮 Do long term experienced bikers actually listen to this utter garbage...
Besides the engine sounds like crap 269 kg just the motorcycle is a big Nono. Take some baggage and you’re at 300kg. No thank you.
Buy a bike that suits you then… I have taken the 1250 gsa fully loaded on a week long offroad journey. No problem at all
@@Ron-c1v i rather keep my GS LC. Much lighter. No problem to fuel a bit more. Need a coffee break also after 250km.
@@motorcyclistfromholland8856 well that’s a perfect macine and I envy you for not being as impulsive and easily tempted by new gadgets as I am…
Another 1300 GSA video that will not convince anyone!
Not meant to convince anyone of anything. It’s how I found it and I like it
Too tall, too heavy and too expensive….prefer the standard and I’ve owned the 1250 GSA, I won’t mention the looks😢. Moved to Ducati and I’m not going back…
One Ugly bike - the GSA of old much better
Awful looking thing like the first Ducati Multistrada..
Sorry, I don't think even stevie Wonder would like the looks of that bike 😎
