When I restarted my homebrewing I also used the small 5L party kegs, as I hated the bottling. You can get some good and often second hand draft system for these kegs that use small co2 cartridges. Great to see another video!
@0:54 I know you're probably not reading comments any more but suddenly getting flashbacks to you on air in studio red from that picture with myriad and the hacky station switcher in the background that we made in the electronics department. Lol, good times.
Thanks so much for watching, I've had to take a break for most of the year as life has been so busy. I've barely brewed this year! Hoping things will change in the new year
Crying laughing at the faces pulled playing guitar at the end, which incidentally are the same faces I catch myself pulling playing doom eternal. All the stress and button mashing and running. Liked the sound of the beer. Just another to add to the 27,012 recipes I want to try and brew.
Thanks so much for watching! I don't think you can be a self respecting home brewer without a 'to brew' list that you'll never have the time to complete!
I've now made 2 lots of Black IPA and really like the dark but hoppy style. One was called Bombscare Black IPA and the other was my own variation of it using what I had in my inventory. I would certainly do this style again using another variation at some point.
Hi Daryl, I ve been following you for a while now and you’re doing a great job! I loved the guitar solo! I started brewing 2 years ago and acoustic guitar 4 years ago and having great fun and learning a lot
Black IPA where do I start ? At the beginning I suppose, some of my first videos I did was on black IPA’s I had no idea what the style was/is. Roasty IPA ? A IPA that is black but not roasty that messes with your mind ? Still no idea I’ve given up trying to understand it myself. Great vid tricky tasting and playing I can only taste and focus on that 🤣and talk at the same time 😂 you can play a guitar cheers love the vids 🍻👍
Thanks for watching! You don't a Co2 tank or a regulator. You just need sugar, pliers and some spare bungs. I'm working on a future video about how to use them. It's a fab cheap alternative to other kegging methods.
I've always preferred the name Cascadian Dark Ale over Black IPA
I like the sound of that!
I’ve never heard it be called that before, but from now on that’s what I’m calling it!
@@Kveiksmithdaryl Me too!

I’m loving the time saving of them too! That’s a great tip about co2, I’ll look into that
Loving all the content. Look forward to more 🍺

Totally awesome, dude!🤘😎
Tubular! 🛹
Great informative video. Keep up the good work with the brewing.... and exercising your DOOM demons!
Wow, that's a cool video! Thanks, dude!
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching
Have you ever made a Black IPA? What do you think of the style?
Very nice brew 👍
Cheer!
it would be great to see more videos from you!

Excellent video! When I made a double Black IPA I was shocked at how good it was, definitely one of my favorites to date
Cheers dude! I loved your Double Black IPA vid! Never tried making one of them myself, but I'll have to put that onto my never ending list!

Awesome! I absolutely love the style, I feel like it combines every element I enjoy about beer!

Last brew was a ghost ship and haven’t tasted it yet
Thanks, that means a lot! Both are such fun and rewarding hobbies
Hi! Which temperature did you let the Lutra done his job at?
Put it in the fermentor at 38 degrees c and then had it on a heat pad. So was around 30 over fermentation
Haha loved that one! So metal. Do more guitar. People will watch that!! By the way, the new camera makes you extra ginger.
Thanks! Ha ha, I'll tell my fiancée you said that, she's desperate for us to have ginger kids one day!

Cheers Rick! At the end of the day, if it tastes good it doesn't really mater what category your putting it in (Unless it's getting judged!!!).
Thanks for the nice video. And nice mini keg. Do you need a co2 tank and regulator to use this keg?

@@Kveiksmithdaryl that is a good news and cant wait for that video. Loved the guitar too :)
How did you carbonate the beer in the keg?
I've got an upcoming video on how to use mini kegs, but the method that you use is to just add 12g of sugar. It's way less sugar compared to bottles!
