Why would you put tank heaters that only run off shore power. If I am out using the trailer as it is intended to be used, I am not going to be anywhere near a shore power plug. It also has a microscopic refrigerator. There is barely enough room in it for food for a weekend. All the 110 outlets on this trailer should run off the inverter and it needs lithium batteries not AGM. You can only use half the amp hours the AGM batteries have before you start damaging the batteries. The way this is set up, you only have 200 usable amp hours of battery. Also, why would you have the dump valves at the rear of the trailer where they can be damaged and ripped off the trailer if the rear scrapes on the ground. There did not appear to be any protection for the dump valves at all. They should come out behind one of the rear wheels so they are less likely to be damaged. This trailer has a lot of potential, but it needs some major improvements to be a real off grid trailer.
In my opinion the geo pro line is a lot better equipped than this. It’s significantly less expensive but you’d have to add some sheet metal on the bottom to protect it better from rocks etc
❤️It. Living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains 🏔, the most popular off road camping destination in the USA 🇺🇸, the Toyota 4Runner 4x4 is the most popular off road vehicle in our state which has a 5000 lbs tow rating and 500 lbs younger weight rating. Hopefully this caravan will within these limits.
I like the HQ15, but the the one thing thats preventing me from buying it is the fridge. Its too small and no freezer. We go into the bush for 2 weeks at a time. A long way from any stores. There is no way we could have enough food in that small fridge.
Looks cool.. but I'm going with the new OBI Dweller 15. Has an indoor KING size bed and toilet/shower. Plus ROA in utah offers the indoor kitchen upgrade. Seems to be way higher quality than these Black Series. I've heard horror stories about the laminate peeling and quality control in general.
What is the MFG warrant on the Black Series? Just saw HQ 15 but not much info on support also the ones I saw had items disassemble worry about reliability.
Seriously the only thing stopping me from purchasing this trailer is the tiny refrigerator. I’m scratching my head because this rig is made to get way out & away.
I was waiting for him to say the outside kitchen also had a fridge but he never showed it. I don't understand why the AC only works on shore power. EMBER will run off solar and then about 4 hours on battery That bathroom fan is useless, it needs a Fantastic
@@BLACKSERIESUS I would recommend getting a real battery setup and running everything from the batteries. This is a sheer limitation of trying to use this trailer for its intention. This is not an off grid trailer at all. Park this at an RV park like the rest of em.
You can run the microwave off the inverter and, if you have the right inverter and battery package, you can run the A/C off it too. There is a new solar and battery package for the new Montana Fifth-wheel that has 100 more amp hours of battery power then this trailer that can run both of its A/C at the same time off the battery. This rig needs lithium batteries and a bigger inverter and you could run the A/C off the batteries in this too.
@@terrytykoon1234 yeahhh.. True mate.. Like Enerdrive Lithium system battery system.. Feel weird why BS still use AGM batteries nit like other Camper van in australia..
It is not 400 amps on AGM,s it is closer to 180 amps that are usable if you are lucky. Lets see you actually sit in the table, there is no way you could put your legs under the table.

Terry you should prob go work for them by the sounds of it you would have them make the most BADASS RV in the world lol
I was about to post something very similar to this. Many flaws with this unfortunately.
Because they draw too much power to runoff of solar

Great rigs! In the market for one and researching them now.
except the 2021 is missing the 12v plugs/USB plugs and the dual AC inverter outlet behind the TV

You'll need a good dealer because taking it back to the factory in China might be a problem
Is there an option to get a compressor fridge?
Seriously the only thing stopping me from purchasing this trailer is the tiny refrigerator. I’m scratching my head because this rig is made to get way out & away.
That’s the ONLY thing?
How about NO air conditioning when utilizing camper for it’s intended use OFF ROAD

What generator choices would you recommend to run the ac?
We would recommend double checking with your dealership prior to purchasing, however a 3,200watt generator should do the job to run your AC.

Can this model be ordered without the outside kitchen?
All of our campers come standard with the exterior kitchen, however please contact our dealerships if you would like to do any modifications.
Anyone own one an HQ? Would you recommend it?
hi, so this unit only sleeps two? any that sleep family of 4?
Check out our HQ17, it has 2 twin bunk beds and a queen sized bed.
@@BLACKSERIESUS awesome thanks man
Can you really run the microwave on inverter power only?
Yes, the microwave can run off of the inverter. We wouldn't recommend cooking a turkey in there, however it will definitely pop your popcorn.
