Diana is not an Alto she is a Contralto, a dramatic Contralto at that with a huge range, she is 18 years old here. (20 yo right now.)
She does not pull her tongue back to her throat you can see her tongue perfectly flat in her mouth, the deep sound is not achieved by a technique she uses, this is her voice, she can of course deepen it further by lowering her larynx but she does nothing with her tongue.
She is not Opera trained nor an Opera singer but she can certainly sing and she has sang Opera before.
Wait till you hear some of her other songs she has loads of them for you to experience, she may as well be the best female vocalist on the planet right now.
If you are curious to hear more of her natural low voice check her out her cover of "Human" or "Wicked game" that she did at the age of 15, you can hear her sing both high and low on "Polyusko Polye" or you can check out her incredibly high range on her song called "The day you...", if you want to see her sing Opera the listen to "Fly away on the wings of wind".
It is really hard to recommend stuff from Diana because everything she sing becomes a masterpiece.
Just a note, Diana has that video on her channel, the video you reacted is not from her original channel and i do not know why you did not react to her video which has more views than this and it is not butchered.
At least change the address in your description to her channel and not the pirate's channel that has already stolen close to 10 million views from her.
WeiT Media is not a pirate channel. This is exactly the channel on which the show aired. And Diana posted this song on her channel with their permission.

It's always good to see newcomers - reminds me of when I first heard Diana :) She is an astounding talent and many are left speechless on first hearing her (and a good bit beyond that!) and even think she's not real. But she is. It cut off at the end because you watched a pirated version (even those who have many views!) rather than the official version from her channel.

Diana started to sing at the age of 5 to overcome her speech impediment. Her low voice is absolutely natural. For a glimpse of her vocal development please listen to her cover of the Beatles' Oh Darling (10 y.o.). Even before her early teens she was the recipient of the gold medal at the Chinese singing contest (she lived in the Russian Far East at that time).
She became very popular in Russia at the age of 13 : listen to her covers of Jodel Time & Non, Je Ne Regret Rien (as the guest at Moscow karaoke championship) and Me Voy (sung in Spanish).
She was catapulted to all-Russia popularity when she appeared at the TV show "You Are Super" (her videos of those performances are doggedly copyright guarded by Russian NTV channel). She was 14 y.o. covering the old Russian folk song Recheñka - a true masterpiece of vocal and scenic artistry !

Diana is incredible! There is nobody like her. To me she is the best vocalist I have ever heard. Everything she does she makes her own and it is incredibly captivating. She draws you in and you just are carried away or fly with her voice. Check out her story as well. She has overcome so much and she seems to be such a beautiful person beyond her impossible talent.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

Here's a fun fact - in the video, the man with the beard on the judging panel is Yusif Eyvazov. He is a world famous dramatic tenor from Azerbaijan. He is married to Anna Yuryevna Netrebko, who is a Russian and Austrian operatic coloratura soprano. :)

Sorry for the late post, but I just came across you reactions to Diana Ankudinova covering "Can’t Help Falling In love". Now, just a little background to give some context to this performance. This took place on September 25, 2021, during the inaugural season of a new Russian vocal competition called the “ShowMaskGoOn!”, and Diana Ankudinova was 18 years old, when this Elvis Presley cover took place for a vocal competition called the “ShowMaskGoOn”.
During past interviews Diana has said she was not happy with her lack of a higher vocal range, and that lack kept her out of the more prestigious Russian music academies, so along with her voice teacher she decided to concentrate extensively on improving and developing her upper vocal range since vocal range helps to determine and define a singers voice type. In 2017 when she was 13 years old, Diana’s vocal range was first measured and her vocal range then was measured from a low of D3 (lower alto range) to a high of A5 (mid to upper alto range), which was unusually low for a 13 year old girl. During the “Can’t Help Falling In Love” performance, her vocal range was again measured, and Diana’s functional vocal range now goes from a low of C3 (male Tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (female Mezzo Soprano range).
One of the most commonly asked questions about Diana’s unique voice is, how does she do it? How can such a young female singer achieve such a low, rich, deep, profound, and resonant sound? Without actually scoping her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to physically see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to her winning the genetic lottery. Diana was just born with her unique vocal anatomy.
Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx, (voice box), likewise appears to be larger and similarly her pharynx, (throat), also appears to be longer and wider than the vast majority of female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this unique anatomical structure that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure.
For this new competition, Diana’s first performances was her cover of Elvis Presley’s classic, “Can't Help Falling In Love”, and it showed what many vocal professionals have been saying since Diana was 14. Based on Diana’s previous vocal competition’s, and concerts, she has now developed into what many vocal professionals believed she always was, a true contralto voice type.
During the opening of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” Diana’s low Contralto voice is on full display. The improvement to her upper range is also on display during the middle portion of this performance. Finally, the depth and power of Diana’s voice during the final section define her as not just a Contralto, but as a “Dramatic Contralto”, and a Dramatic Contralto has the lowest, deepest, darkest, richest sound and it is the most powerful of the contralto voice types and is the rarest of the very rare Contralto voice types. At the end of this performance, the full power of her Dramatic Contralto voice is on full display for everyone to hear. But it’s not just how low can she go. It’s in the exceptional quality of her tone in her upper range but especially in her lower range that makes her so very special. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her sound, along with her ability to create, access, and use an enormous amount of resonance.
Now a little about this new vocal competition. During the “ShowMaskGoOn”, Diana was competing against 8 other professional singers, Diana being the 9th competitor. Diana and the other singer's also doubled as judges for this competition which was televised over a nine week period, all singers performed one song per week for the entirety of the 9 weeks. Diana and the other professional singers/judges were also competing against each other, and based on their individual performances they awarded judging points to each other, but could not award points to themselves. Each week a different singer took center stage and performed a different song over each of the nine weeks using a different genre of music, and a different style for each song performed.
The ShowMaskGoOn! concluded on November 20, 2021, and during Diana’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” performance, the judge on the top row who was the first to stand is the well known Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan. He was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition. At the end of Diana's performance she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is the well-known contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta. Julia is in the center row dressed in red, and looks totally lost. At the end of Diana's performance Julia Parshuta puts both hands on top of her head, and looks totally shocked, and bewildered. Finally, the grand finale of the “Show Must Go On” competition concluded with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points over the total 9 weeks and was declared the winner of the inaugural season of the “ShowMaskGoOn!” competition.

The song “I am Russian” broke all music media platforms. Many countries demanded to ban this song. But the Shaman did not insult anyone and sang about soldiers defending their land.
