Interesting, I didn’t know that’s the top way RVs catch fire 🔥😬

That's exactly what we've heard. In our old one, the owner had put in an automatic fire extinguisher in the back of the refrigerator just to prevent it. I don't know if it had this switch or not. Thanks for watching and have a great week.

If you have many issues with that fridge my friend here in Cleveland TN does the Amish fridge conversions where they replace the ammonia system with a compressor and traditional refrigerant that works either on 12 v or 120 volt with a 1000 watt inverter.

That's great to know. So far this is the only trouble we have had. I guess it is a common problem. Thanks for watching. Have a blessed week.

Great Video Danny. I have read several stories where this has happened after washing the rig and folks have accidently sprayed high pressure water in through the fridge vent, it must have been a really windy wet storm! Glad you got it working again! This is the first video I have seen that explained and showed how to reset the high temp switch. 👍

There should have been a cover over the switch. That could be the problem. Looks like you're an RV tech pro. Nice job.

Thanks. There is an outside cover. The rain blew sideways and came in. It was very wet. Hope you guys are doing great!

Thanks Scott. I haven't seen a cover for the high temp box on anything I looked up - but that makes sense! I'll see if I can find one.

Oh Yes!!!! We had this happen to us as well when it rained sideways. Nette found through searching it on the internet that the magnet does the trick. We were told you cant order the part only a qualified technician can install a new one but the magnet did the trick on three separate occasions with in a little over two years time. We just replaced our fridge in our bus so hopefully we are good for twenty years or so. Thanks for sharing your experience. Take care and stay safe.👍👍👏👏👏👊🙏❤️

Who would have thought a magnet would heal a refrigerator. Lol. We are very grateful it was easily fixed. I'm sorry you had such a time. Sounds like you had a technician come out and look at it. We've heard they always want to just replace the Box instead of fixing it. Hope you're having a great week.

Those magnets may not have worked but they seem to have made that dog bark.
Great you got it fixed so easily without the Tech.
