Death Valley NP is so big and beautiful on its own way! What a landscape! So many hiking trails, sand dunes, salt flat.. land of lives! You captured it brilliantly! Cinematic experience 👍👍👍

Love the video, the resourcefulness and energy of young people. A tip, when cooking bacon on your camp stove, place a small tarp or something plastic under it, to keep your white comforter from getting bacon grease splatter.

Great question Penny! That is about 15 minutes from Badwater Basin along the Artist's Pallete drive. Best time to go is Sunset or Sunrise!

Definitely blue hour, so that time right after sunset or before sunrise! That's when all the colors pop!

Awesome video! Thanks so much for all of the tips! My fiancé and I are thinking about going next week. What area would you guys recommend staying in? All the campgrounds are closed and only available Airbnb’s I see are an hour away in Pahrump, NV. Did you guys go when camping was still allowed?
Yeah we went the weekend before the stay at home order was announced again :/ You may be able to still backcountry camp if you’re self sustained off Echo Canyon road but I’d call the ranger station and check!
Which campsite did you stay at?
We stayed off the road about 1 mile. Death Valley is great because you can camp anywhere in the park as long as you are 1 mile off the main highway
Did you guys have to reserve camp sites or just camped out back?
If you are backcountry/dispersed camping, there are no reservations required! If you're staying in an actual campground though you'll need to make reservations
We didn't make it to the big dunes. It was too hot! Definitely enjoyed the video!
You have to go back in the Spring or Winter! The weather there is perfect
Was it cold? I thought the temp year round was warm. Why are you wearing jackets?
The desert gets frigid in January in the mornings and night time

Great video!! We plan to visit in about a week and a half. After seeing this, we are super excited! Any issues seeing the sunrise from Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes with day use only? I saw that some National Parks in CA were enforcing strict 8-5 hours for hiking, I wasn't sure if they had certain hours you could enter park?? Keep the videos coming and thanks for sharing!! :)
No you should be fine to go! It’s a highway to get there so it doesn’t shut down for strict hours like Yosemite for example

Great video! Where did you guys stay overnight? is camping in the car allowed?
Car camping is allowed on dirt roads! We camped off of lamoigne canyon and one other up near the resort. As long as you drive 1 mile into the dirt road you can camp!

Bring your mask and hand sanitizer! But otherwise there weren't too many people out and about! Right now, the park is only open for day use.
