How do you train for something like this? , i used to run 10 miles a day 7 days a week and sustained so many stress fractures , and had to cut the running by alot. How do u train for a run this long?, without running more than 40 miles a day at least?, this is some crazy stuff, i really admire your willpower and determination to make it to the end !, your an inspiration Lisa!
Asap Anon hi you would be surprised that you don't have to do that much more than you used to do but where you probably went wrong is doing it everyday and not doing enough strength and conditioning workouts to preserve muscle and mobility work daily to help prevent injury. it's all about oscillating between rest and work. I would love to help you please visit my website www.runninghotcoaching.com
Thank you so much for the reply! i will definitely subscribe to your website!, i'm just starting to get into running again after a long battle with addiction and your videos really inspire me ! thank you!

Thanks for coming to my website and please also check out my podcast on itunes and stitcher and soundcloud "Pushing the Limits"
thanks Adam. In every aspect of life we can achieve more than we initially think if we back ourselves and push outside our comfort zone. Would you agree?
I just cried at the end... man girl! you're tough! Well done. I finished couple of marathons and half marathons but the Badwater is a big NO NO for me for now. Maybe in the future... Thanks for the video Lisa :) peace and love and fitness
Wow, that made me cry! Amazing and congratulations! I just ran the Death Valley Trail Marathon through Titus Canyon, but it was nothing at all compared to this, cool weather and lovely scenery!
Hi Lisa :) On last Sunday I watched movie called "Desert Runners" here in Edinburgh (Scotland,UK) - it was a world premiere and You were there in that film :) Lots of respect for You girl, so far I've run three marathons and in August I'll run my first 50miles ultramarathon in Poland (where I originally come from) and I just can't wait! :) all the best Lisa
hey Leight thanks for the kind words. Off to Simpson desert in a month then everest in october to do world record attempt to do highest marathon on earth, then Arabian desert 800km run with two others.
I'm inspired ✨️ Praise God your such a wonderful and inspirational "Wahine Toa" Strong lady I Salute You🙌God Bless you and continue to shine his light and favour over you life 💯✝️🕊
Affascinante per atleti dal grande cuore e temprati ad ogni fatica alla lotta con sé stessi ed alla volontà indomabile. Dal primo all'ultimo riconoscenza e rispetto. La volontà vince sulla ragione. .
Lisa a huge congratulations to you & your team!! that is one hell of a run....and one id like to do b4 iam 53. i do many ultra marathons but not like you have massive thumbs up to you.
in the ultra marathon world a non stop race is where the clock is non stop. as opposed to a stage race. The clock is ticking and you have to get there as fast as possible. thanks for watching
in my case walking yes and 15 min rest and short stretches. you just dont understand what non stop means in ultra, it means the clock is non stop, you have to get through in time limit. and many do it absolutely non stop and run it all ... i am just not as good Its not impossible ... and go and watch a 24 hour race and watch them to it non stop
That you are Kiwileese. Its about your mindset, being willing to sacrifice an awful lot to get there and being able to be persistent despite things not going to plan. x
Wow. What an inspiration. I just took up running a couple years ago. I did a marathon once, but it was very grueling. Even half marathons I struggle with. I won't even attempt to understand how 135miles in the summer @ death valley is. I want to do that someday. One can only hope. Thanks for sharing
Thanks very much. Please check out all my other ultramarathon documentaries on the channel and subscribe and join me on my facebook group at facebook.com/groups/lisatamati
Hi Lisa...Have admired you for a few years now and am always keen to know what your next adventure will be, no doubt in some 'obscure' place in the world. Loved your books too...recommended reading. "Shine on you crazy diamond!" . Arohanui xo
Yet another amazing inspiration. That took incredible willpower and endurance and coupled with your other achievements definitely ranks you among the elite athletes of the world, Lisa! I hope you continue such feats long into the future.
Lisa Tamati it’s just so humbling to see how humble you are if that makes sense. You must’ve worked very very hard for this massive respect.❤️ absolute inspiration
Respect everyone doing hard job! and much more hard job is to checking and doing everything for our healthy life as many years as possible, My intention run successfully many ultra marathons more than 100 yrs old🏃♂️
whats the point? and what kind of a race is this with chairs and rest stops? Maybe i'll understand this as i get older, but right now, I don't get it. Its like that woman that tried to swim from Cuba to Miami.
Her book RUNNING HOT is a great read. She is a cool chick. I dream of running Badwater but there is no chance for me. I only ran a regular 42k marathon in Death Valley, it was a sweet experience in my life. To run Badwater would be a dream for me.
Thanks so much for your kind words Porter. Women do do well in the really long stuff Check out my other documentaries on gobi, himalayas, Blue mountains Australia and Niger, etc
This is mental and an incredible thing to do, but the description isn't quite accurate - it's not non stop (that would literally be impossible). Runners do walk long stretches and take rests.
+Kimon Oikonomou Hi Kimon. Its a long story but I have been doing ultra marathons for 20 years and for a start I really wanted to prove I could do it now I love inspiring others and having adventures. If you are interested please visit my website and perhaps read my books or other documentaries on my you tube. www.lisatamati.co.nz thanks
People truly are capeable of far more than they think, like when you overtake a one legged compettitor cyclist up the final climb of alp-du-huez in france after 110miles. up until that point you truly thought you were made of gold.
"I did it” so simple and yet most powerful words she could have said. I teared up watching that finish
+NightEmbers thanks for the kind words. It was an amazing feeling to cross that line. A turning point in my life.

I got a cramp from watching this.

This is mental and an incredible thing to do, but the description isn't quite accurate - it's not non stop (that would literally be impossible). Runners do walk long stretches and take rests.
How do you get people to run with you? There can't be many people capable let alone willing.

I cant wait to just do what i love in life...
