Kennywood Park Holiday Lights - Merry-Go-Round 2016

Kennywood Park's Merry-Go-Round in West Mifflin PA - Operating in December during the park's Holiday Lights event.
"Dubbed the soul of Kennywood by amusement park aficionado and author Charles J. Jacques, Jr., this beautiful, handcrafted carousel was designed and built by the William Dentzel Company in Philadelphia. There are 50 jumping and 14 stationary horses, a magnificent lion, tiger and Dentzel's signature Jesters & Cherubs." - kennywood.com
The ride was built for the 1926 Philadelphia Sesquentenial, but it was not completed in time.

My Dad grew up on Jones Ave in North Braddock and talked about Kennywood Park when I was little (60s). We finally visited when I was big enough for the roller coaster with my brother. Wonderful memories.Lived in Philly (Mom's hometown) so visits to Kennywood were not regular,only when we saw Grand mom and Pop but still magical..Wish I could visit again someday.That carousel is absolutely beautiful.
