USS George H.W. Bush air wing returns

After a long deployment, members of several local Navy squadrons are back home in Hampton Roads. They have been overseas since last August, serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush. Mike Gooding was at Oceana for today's happy homecoming.

This is nostalgic. I was in CVW-7 from 1980-83, as an aviator in an A-6 Intruder squadron, VA-65, aboard USS Eisenhower. My first deployment was eight months during the Iran Hostage Crisis. I did three other deployments after that. I remember flying in to NAS Oceana, with all the wives and kids waiting. Great stuff!
