Kristen was such a force to be reckoned with. Guys her age couldn’t handle her confidence and carefree nature lol you can see Talan is so upset that she’s not all over him because she literally does not care. Stephan was the only one to even put a small dent in her independence because she genuinely cared about him.
Just being honest...her behavior is super masculine and not attractive at all.
Talan was the hottest.

This bothered me so much! It also bothered me how even Alex H and Kristin kind of alienated Jessica and took Alex M’s side during the Cabo trip. Like....? Jason was Jessica’s boyfriend and Alex stayed going after him
I thought it was karma that he cheated on her with Jess. I don’t think Jason really liked Alex more than a platonic way. She was just conveniently there and was the “fun” waiting on the sideline that he missed because his relationship with Jessica was stressful at that point. Once he got with her he realized he didn’t really like her as a girlfriend

Am I the only one who got emotional when the started playing Michelle Branch? Sure makes me miss these days. Time really does fly. It was much simpler then, even though all the problems with boys and drama made us feel like the world was ending. If you are still in highschool, or even college- ENJOY IT! Don't try to grow up too fast, have fun with your friends. Take pictures and videos, but STAY PRESENT. Don't let the petty stuff take over your life. It isn't important, just have fun and be young.

I wish Lauren had enjoyed more of her high school experience by not allowing her feelings for Stephen to interfere with how much fun she was having. In a way, I feel Stephen may have found Kristen more of a challenge and what attracted him to her was her way of being able to brush him off and not seem so attached. I'm sure Kristen loved Stephen in her own way, but she seemed harder to keep interested and I think Stephen was attracted to the chase with Kristen and LC wore her heart on her sleeve (which is why she's so relatable:)
I definitely agree. I feel like Kristen acted that way because she really didn’t want Stephen like that anymore, but you know how it is when you find out someone else is interested (Lauren) then it’s like well hold up. I feel like Kristin didn’t want him and didn’t want anyone else to have him specifically Lauren. That makes it real easy to treat guys the way Kristin treated Stephen. He was definitely more into her than she was into him and she knew that plus used it to her advantage. So he chased her and he knew he didn’t have to chase Lauren because he knew he had her if he wanted her, that was too easy or like you said not a challenge. Crazy this happens so darn much in life, smh
@@iamlily01 Yeah I think you're right. I don't think Kristin would have had much of an issue with Stephen moving on with someone else, she just DID NOT want that person to be Lauren. Stephen I think knew this and everytime things got shaky between himself and Kristin he'd get closer to Lauren, act like MAYBE something might happen between them and then he'd be back together with Kristin. I know Lauren considered him a really good friend at the time but I would think if she looks back now she realises that she was just totally used by him. As for Kristin, I don't put as much 'blame' on her because I can understand why she didn't like Lauren. Lauren was always there in the background of her relationship with Stephen and Kristin knew that Lauren was just infatuated by him so in my eyes, it makes TOTAL sense why Kristin just did not like Lauren at all.

@@NorfolkEnchants Truth. It's uncomfortable watching Lauren desperately waiting in the background all the time and not caring that she's getting sloppy seconds. Watching back, Stephen obviously had no romantic feelings towards Lauren. He was obsessed with Kirsten, like big time. Lauren knew she was second to Stephen and just didn't care. When I see her around Stephen it's like she's jumping up and down with her arm in the air yelling "pick me! Pick me!" Just cringe. I have secondhand embarrassment watching her. Remember when he came back for Valentine's Day? He really went to see Kristen but Lauren thought he was there for her, only to find out later he had dinner with Kristen the night before, still Lauren didn't care. Any crumb was good enough. Smh.
@@lamoskgr I actually feel bad for Kristen when I saw how Lauren was always in the background stalking her boyfriend and waiting for any moment to try and steal him away. That sucks production did that. At first I thought Kristen was a b**** until I found out what was really going on with Lauren. 😒 I definitely liked Lauren on The Hills though. I always found it weird how she never held the men accountable for their cheating or bad behavior but instead would blame the other women.

It works both ways. A good host should at least acknowledge new arrivals "look who's here" or more appropriately stand up, greet them, and offer them food and drink. And then "come join us." Lauren just sat there with her back facing the entrance and stewing to her friends. If I were her parents I'd be embarrassed.

Common courtesy and good home training is when you walk into a room of people like at gatherings and such then YOU say hello and especially to the host. Typical Kristin, she should have stayed home or LC should have put her rude butt OUT!!

I graduated high school in 2004 so this is the same time:) Honestly this was the last attractive, fun, exciting era for so much! I can’t even express it. Kids nowadays will never know so I feel so fortunate I was a kid when I was. Makes me sad times have declined and gotten so terrible
I graduated in 2018 and i'm in college rn. I don't think much has changed... the fights, the parties, the conversations, the dating still the same. I think that nowdays we have social media so we are a little bit more alert that people might be filming or taking pictures... but in the end of the day it does not matter! What changed the most is that we are a generation that is very concerned about our image and our body ( superficial )... so everyone is like buying nicer clothes or working out a little bit more, making our teeth more white and stuff like that... but maybe it's similar to Laguna in 2004!
And we dressed for the seasons. We didn’t wear hoodies year around 😂
Every generation says the same about their times. Nowadays is better honestly. And I say that having graduated high school in 2003.

Embarrassed to admit this, but I bought the entire season on DVD (I'm quarantined, there's nothing else to do so don't judge me 😂). In the special features Jessica said she had asked another guy to go long before she and Jason started dating. And, obviously, Alex asked Jason long before Jessica and Jason started dating. She said Jason and Alex suggested swapping dates but Jessica felt bad for the guy she initially asked so she didn't want to.
It's called Jason was over Jessica and didn't want to go with her anymore.

So basically if you were very rude to someone and they later confronted it they would manipulate you to believe you're crazy/ you have no basis to be upset which leads you to doubt your own judgements. I remember around the time of the show I was only allowed a certain amount of texts a month because they were extremely expensive to send. You had to call a number to type in characters past the 150 limit 😂 and it was crazy expensive! My mom wasn’t too thrilled. It was rare to be on your phone at parties then. No one could afford it lol.

It actually wasn’t bad, however, because texting was T9, so it sucked and was difficult, anyway. And I had a Nextel with the two-way unlimited distance radio.
As long as someone else had a Nextel, you could talk to them on the radio for free, anywhere in the country. I encouraged my girlfriend and a few of my friends to get Nextel’s, and it worked out great!

I have seasons 1 & 2 on DVD and years later I still love how in Cabo Alex wasn’t pressed about Jason but Jessica was calling him and talked about him her whole trip. She did wanna get her dig in at Jessica but I understand that completely 😂

They literally filmed and released almost the entire series of the show completely out of context and made Stephan lead Lauren on when him and Kristen were already dating before they even started this show, that's what I've heard and read from a few different interviews atleast, but just sad how they always gotta make sure everyone hates one or the other of the girls when really it's all crap they do to add wayyy more drama to the shows for more views 🙄😒
As I'm watching this u can tell he really loved kristen and it's so sad because lauren didn't deserve any of that she was way too beautiful and sweet to be treated like a second choice by stephen. So happy her and Kristen both got to make amazing lives for themselves they deserve it.
