I'm more on the cynical side though really, given the total lack of interest in glasses-free 3D tablets when they appeared at the height of 3D TVs' popularity, the failure of the Red Hydrogen One, and the Lume Pad not managing to get noticed. The sad truth, as I see it, is that people just aren't interested. Hope you're right and I'm wrong though. Cheers.

Also I think Luma Pad was only release in response to the crowd funded ProMa King tablet for a quick corporate cash-in, I mean there's no real promotion for the Luma Pad except for free stuff like Social Media.
God I love the youtube 3D community. There are only a few channels, but they are all so friendly towards each other. Really great list from you as well. My personal favorites are movies that i already like in 2D, which are even better (or sometimes significantly better) in 3D. Like Avatar and the Avengers Movies. But since i never really grew up in that regard, i also still love Dinosaur movies. So for me, Jurassic Park 3D, as well as the Jurassic World movies are really enjoyable. Even though i love Jurassic World as a movie and fallen kingdom and dominion are ok. BUT THEY HAVE DINOSAURS🙈🙈🙈
My Introduction to 3D was a doc called Ultimate Wave Tahiti. Maybe part of it was the astonishment of seeing this magic happen on my 100 inch screen; whatever, I absolutely loved this film. If you are a fan of the likable, laid back quality of ‘Endless Summer’ you might really enjoy it. Gorgeous, ungimmicky and informative, whoever directed this had a real respect and understanding of the medium. Thank you as well for helping to keep 3D alive.
I absolutely LOVE the format and your videos on 3D are great. I have a ton of 3D releases, approaching 400. If you like extreme 3D I highly recommend watching literally all the animated movies you can get your hands on, in particular the 'nwave' 3D animated films, they are particularly stunning. As you noted with Coco, the disney/pixar films like Cars and Meet the Robinsons are also great, as are Dreamworks such as Monsters vs aliens and Megamind. Sony has some good ones too like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and WB's Lego movies are very cool in 3D. One surprise hit for me was Jupiter Ascending - wow! 3D conversion done by the Gravity folks. Anyways thanks for continuing to cover the format!! Cheers from Canada.

Great collection! I recently watched The Inmortals on 3D. The movie was ok but the visuals and 3D were expectacular. It's from 5he same director as The Fall and The Cell
Great quick reviews Tron legacy is outstanding for 3D well worth getting , people dont realise how good 3D movies are Hollywood needs to push 3D again.
I started collecting 3D movie when they were popular in the hopes I get a 3D TV well that never happened but I Managed To accumulate and nice collection of 3D movies. But luckily enough all the 3D movies I bought came with the 2D as well so I will never get rid of them . The biggest collection with in my 3D collection are IMAX documentaries which average between 35 and 45 minutes . One movie I recommend to track down is a Disney released movie for IMAX directed by James Cameron called ghost of the abyss 3D the film is about James Cameron & Bill Paxton taking a boat and some special robots to view the wreck of the titanic back in 2001 it is an excellent documentary.
You've got some real staples of modern 3D. Sadly you're missing some classics like Jaws 3D and Friday the 13th part 3D. I caught both of those at midnight theatre screenings in 3D and they were great. I haven't checked out the Grindhouse or Bikini Beach Babes 3D that make up a huge bulk of 3D Blu-Ray offerings. I'd love to build a solid 3D Blu Ray collection, but don't currently have the home theatre set up for it in a meaningful way.
I remember watching Jaws 3d in the Cinema , solid 3D , I picked up Friday the 13th 3D on blu ray and the copy was damaged when it arrived , still waiting for a refund 😡

Hey, my projector is an Optoma 114 , my glasses are from 3D3.co.uk the one I use are the classic (DLP) and my screen is just a 100 inch standard projector screen 👍
I agreed with your excellent condensed reviews, excellent taste, I have all these apart from ‘I, Frankenstein’ . I think you will enjoy ‘Passengers’, the 3D is not especially noticeable apart from the starry back-drop but it has the most immersive atmosphere, but I can’t explain why, unlike ‘The Walk’ where you are absolutely riveted because you don’t know if he is going to fall from the wire to a grisly death. Films I think you may like are Zac Snyder’s ‘Legend of the Guardians’, Scorceses ‘Hugo’, Frozen and IMAX Flight which has some fantastic F-14 shots in 3D and may give you nausea. 3D Bunker is correct about Julia X but I would make sure your kid’s don’t watch it as it is quite disturbing. Honourable mentions to the ‘Minions’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’ movies. Wonder Woman 84 is available for under £30 from Greece - try e-bay, it’s worth buying if you are a collector.

I have seen Hugo and gave it to a friend to watch havn't got it back 😡it's outstanding , thanks for the recomendations I'll definately check them out , i'm finding it increasingly difficult to track down 3D movies , India don' t ship to ireland so frustrating , e-bay is very expensive . If people knew how good the home 3d experience was it would really catch on , I didn't like the cinema experience and I think it turned people off the format , thanks again 👍
@@thekingdommovieschannel Keep the Faith…ultimately I believe that 3D will win through - PSVR headsets and virtual reality will gradually push the medium….the main problem for home users is that 4K format is not compatible with 3D and 3D is too expensive a process for the TV companies. You are also correct with the cinema experience…the light is too dim and Theatres should set their projectors to double brightness but a lot do not….I remember being put off by the last Harry Potter film I saw in the cinema..it was dire. Luckily I had the opportunity to buy an ex-demo Sony 3D projector from Audio-T in Bristol for less than the cost of my Sony 4K TV, together with 4 pairs of shutter glasses - wow!! , the 3D was stunning, and as you say, most people remain ignorant of the quality available. Hope also that James Cameron convinces the movie companies to make the new Avatar sequels available in 3D Blu-Ray for home viewing.
You NAILED Every word About the Star Wars sequel Trilogy. After the 1st one I just knew I would be in for a journey but I was so wrong. I am also perplexed at how the 3-D market has turned out. With 4K capabilities The quality of 3-D is better than it ever was Before. You should definitely check out Friday the 13th part 3 in the new 3D format release! Excellent!

Nice video agree with a lot of your picks. Incredibles 2 is fun and the 3d is OK the first movie is probably better though. John carter is a good film too in 3d as is ghost in the shell (the live action one with scarlet johanson. And tron legacy is my final mention its an OK film but the 3d lifts it.
Big recommends for the Transformers movies in 3D! Mainly 3,4 and 5. those are meant for 3D, the 5th (the last knight) was even mostly shot with 3D IMAX cameras. Dark of the moon and the last knight is maybe the best 3D movies ever made alongside Avatar. Incredible depth and details.
I watched yesterday my first two 3D movies (Up and Life of Pi) on an epson 3D projector using amazon’s generic RF active 3D glasses and frankly I was super excited but ultimately disappointed. It wasn’t very 3D as far as I’m concerned, it wasn’t obvious, not impressive and quite a lot darker with the glasses. I wanted to like it but I did not really. Maybe it’s the glasses? Or my settings or my expectations were too high?
Cinemas use passive 3D, which looks washed out to reasonable. High-end TVs use active, and that is true 3D and the difference is night and day. The best has to be the Panasonic Viera. I highly recommend them. Plasma is superior for active 3D.
Excellent list...all very good titles. You did however miss out two of the best 3D Blu-ray experiences available....namely Hugo and IMAX Hubble. Both are reference quality titles shot in native 3D (on the finest 3D cameras ever made in the case of Hubble) - however it's not just their stunning 3D imagery that deserves praise but also the top notch sound quality. Hugo won the Oscar for best cinematography and sound design (among other wins) and is Martin Scorsese's tribute to cinema and I think his best film. Hubble is a documentary literally out of this world shot on the finest 3D cameras ever made - both are shot in native 3D and must be viewed in this way to be fully appreciated.

No worries I thought your list was full of great recommendations...other good IMAX titles are Grand Canyon, Space Station, Rescue, Wild Ocean and Into the deep. You could also add Ghost in the shell, Godzilla V Kong, King Arthur LOTS and Ready Player One to that list...and for animated movies with great popouts see Madagascar 3, Monsters V Aliens, Despicable Me and Megamind.
Hey , yeah seen it just before Christmas , the 3D was excellent especially the underwater scenes, was going to review it but got a bad flu over Christmas and my camera went down, hope to get back to it in the next week or so 👍
Hey Chuck, I got most of them locally in a store called CEX second hand, I got some on Amazon as well, very hard to get 3D Blu Ray now and the price has gone mad.
There is a making of Jaws 3 D "Sharks don't die" its on UA-cam. Some interesting bits on the shot of the shark smashing through the glass at the end, and has some pre 3 -D footage the shark looks good! Unfortunately the end product wasn't great 😕
if you’re really into 3d movies you must try watching 3d movies in virtual reality with a vr headset and the app bigscreen. its incredible and the most immersive way you can experience 3d movies
Tha way to go is a projector tha'ts 3D enabled and a 3D blu ray player with speakers , you can pick up a screen farly cheap online , this should get you started 👍
I do it in VR. If you have a PC you can buy the BluRay, rip it to a side by side format and stream it to a VR Headset like the Oculus Quest2 or other. There are VR cinema Apps on it ('f ex. Bigscreen, Skybox etc) where you can watch it in different cinema environments.
@@thekingdommovieschannel I wanted to tell you that I started my 3D collection shortly before 2018 and it has been growing little by little (every time I see recommendations on youtube, I buy them through ebay), but to see it I only have an LG cinema 3D TV of only 42 inch, I hope to be able to travel to the capital of my country (Lima) and try to buy, even if it is used, a bigger TV, 55 or 60 in 3D, because as it is a technology that is no longer manufactured, it is a bit Hard to get working TVs. Japan only gets 3D Blu-rays to make up for their theaters not releasing movies in 3D.
Prepare to buy lots of Lightfield Tablets, TV's and Smartphones.

Big recommends for the Transformers movies in 3D! Mainly 3,4 and 5. those are meant for 3D, the 5th (the last knight) was even mostly shot with 3D IMAX cameras. Dark of the moon and the last knight is maybe the best 3D movies ever made alongside Avatar. Incredible depth and details.

I watched yesterday my first two 3D movies (Up and Life of Pi) on an epson 3D projector using amazon’s generic RF active 3D glasses and frankly I was super excited but ultimately disappointed.
It wasn’t very 3D as far as I’m concerned, it wasn’t obvious, not impressive and quite a lot darker with the glasses.
I wanted to like it but I did not really. Maybe it’s the glasses? Or my settings or my expectations were too high?
Cinemas use passive 3D, which looks washed out to reasonable. High-end TVs use active, and that is true 3D and the difference is night and day. The best has to be the Panasonic Viera. I highly recommend them. Plasma is superior for active 3D.
I just bought a used Panasonic but can't find the right glasses for the tv....

Excellent list...all very good titles.
You did however miss out two of the best 3D Blu-ray experiences available....namely Hugo and IMAX Hubble.
Both are reference quality titles shot in native 3D (on the finest 3D cameras ever made in the case of Hubble) - however it's not just their stunning 3D imagery that deserves praise but also the top notch sound quality.
Hugo won the Oscar for best cinematography and sound design (among other wins) and is Martin Scorsese's tribute to cinema and I think his best film.
Hubble is a documentary literally out of this world shot on the finest 3D cameras ever made - both are shot in native 3D and must be viewed in this way to be fully appreciated.

No worries I thought your list was full of great recommendations...other good IMAX titles are Grand Canyon, Space Station, Rescue, Wild Ocean and Into the deep.
You could also add Ghost in the shell, Godzilla V Kong, King Arthur LOTS and Ready Player One to that list...and for animated movies with great popouts see Madagascar 3, Monsters V Aliens, Despicable Me and Megamind.

Hey , yeah seen it just before Christmas , the 3D was excellent especially the underwater scenes, was going to review it but got a bad flu over Christmas and my camera went down, hope to get back to it in the next week or so 👍

Hey Chuck, I got most of them locally in a store called CEX second hand, I got some on Amazon as well, very hard to get 3D Blu Ray now and the price has gone mad.
There is a making of Jaws 3 D "Sharks don't die" its on UA-cam. Some interesting bits on the shot of the shark smashing through the glass at the end, and has some pre 3 -D footage the shark looks good! Unfortunately the end product wasn't great 😕
That end scene was awful , pity they didn't fix it

I use the Optoma H114 projector and a sony home cimema blu ray player on to a 100 inch screen 👍
if you’re really into 3d movies you must try watching 3d movies in virtual reality with a vr headset and the app bigscreen. its incredible and the most immersive way you can experience 3d movies

In the US they totally stop putting out 3D movies , Even at my local cinemas I don’t even see 3-D as an option anymore.
Same in Ireland my friend, I have to import 3D Blu Ray at a high cost , complete balls 😡
Hello, I'm looking for information on how to watch 3D blu rays in 2022, I use to have a 3D TV but I break it.
Tha way to go is a projector tha'ts 3D enabled and a 3D blu ray player with speakers , you can pick up a screen farly cheap online , this should get you started 👍

I do it in VR. If you have a PC you can buy the BluRay, rip it to a side by side format and stream it to a VR Headset like the Oculus Quest2 or other. There are VR cinema Apps on it ('f ex. Bigscreen, Skybox etc) where you can watch it in different cinema environments.
Ps4 has 3d option

@@thekingdommovieschannel I wanted to tell you that I started my 3D collection shortly before 2018 and it has been growing little by little (every time I see recommendations on youtube, I buy them through ebay), but to see it I only have an LG cinema 3D TV of only 42 inch, I hope to be able to travel to the capital of my country (Lima) and try to buy, even if it is used, a bigger TV, 55 or 60 in 3D, because as it is a technology that is no longer manufactured, it is a bit Hard to get working TVs.
