MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!! This video was filmed last Sunday as part of a three video group I had pre-recorded for the week. I didn't remember to wish everyone a Merry Christmas at the end (not realizing Christmas was this weekend, agghhh!), so wanted you to know why! Haha! I hope you have a beautifully blessed weekend and enjoy the time with those you love! I love you! Jesus loves you! Sending you a big hug across the airwaves :) See you next week! XOXO
You're not the only one---Christmas seems to have snuck up.on some of us this year. It's been unseasonably warm by me , with no snow is in sight, and so I didn't much think of it being so close to the end of the month and year. Feels like it's still about midway through fall .
I am 59 and have had to learn less is more. I go much lighter on the foundation and powder. I have switched to matte foundation as opposed to luminous. Luminous foundations tend to settle into my fine lines. When I am applying a setting powder I use very little, picking it up on a velvet puff, then dab it on the back of my hand before applying to my face so to keep it light. I love the tip of not bringing my lip liner to the corners of my lips, I have to try this! Thank you, these videos are great!
My tip is to make sure you make sure your skin is exfoliated (and/or dermaplaned) and well moisturized before applying makeup. Exfoliating cuts down on the skin looking rough and moisturizing (especially the under-eyes and cheeks) helps the products not to settle into the wrinkles.
Yes I agree! If I’m wearing makeup that day, I always make sure I lightly physically exfoliate my face, especially around my mouth/chin area, before I apply my spf, then primer. Exfoliating makes such a huge difference, and improves the look of foundation so much! If I don’t do this, my makeup looks so cakey and flaky around my mouth area within a couple hours

If you have sparse brow hairs, I’ve found that a tinted brow gel with a small brush will give you enough hairlike effect without being heavy or taking forever. If you want a quick brow.
Great tips. I seldom line my eye but will tightline I also seldom line the bottom of my eyes, I need to lift, not weigh down my eyes. Using color helps as my grey hair, pale skin, and light eyes can wash me out. Always blush and a lip color- ha! few nudes for me, I want lips! Not makeup but don't forget to smile, wear jewelry if you can add twinkle or color. Be proud. It takes strength to get older and you need to be proud of your perseverance. As for losing a word, as we age, I think we just get more info in our brains that we have to sort thru. That's my story and I am sticking to it. Always talk to yourself like you were talking to a very loved friend. Merry Christmas and happy Holidays to those who may celebrate different events.
@tgardenchicken1780 Really liked your comments...helpful and true. Great sense of humor; never let go of it. Blessings of the Season to you and yours, and a healthy, happy 2024! Can't wait to see what our lovely Zabrena has in store for the New Year. I truly needed this video. 🤶🎄🦋🕊🎁💜
I don't hear UA-camrs discuss a problem I have with brows. I'm 69. When I started seeing grey in my brows I was appalled to see that they grow MUCH faster than the other brow hairs. And, like the grey on my head, these divas feel no compunction to play nice with other brow hairs. 😡 No, they are long, curly, and proud of it. When i first noticed 'em (and had more brow hair), I 😱 plucked 'em. Bad idea. After battling with one in my left brow for a while, the right brow got revenge by sprouting TWO. Now I keep 'em, trim 'em, paint 'em, and gel 'em into submission. ANOTHER thing Mom never warned me about.
I have a problem in that my hair was going gray and my skin was going lighter and my mid brown (dyed to my younger natural colour) no longer suited my skin so my hairdresser transitioned my hair to full gray. I love my hair, I've been able to swap makeup shades that compliment instead of washing me out. BUT, I still have good thick brows with very few gray and now doing anything to them makes them clash with my hair and makeup. 😂
This has been a game changer for me, I’ve started doing my brows using a magnifying mirror to compliment my normal mirror. It has really changed my brow game for the better! Another thing, not new is to always use multiple mirrors, and throughout doing my makeup looking at it in different lights! Merry Christmas🎄! 💕
I found using concealer only on the inside corners of my eyes then dab blending with a small brush eliminates the total under eye over lightening effect & keeps the concealer from setting in to the fine line area after hours of wear. Your tips have helped & made a noticeable difference. Letting my concealer sit before blending has made a difference, & the eyebrow tip looks great & was easy to do. Thank you!
I love that your videos are just as good as they were when I started watching you in highschool , it’s been so nice to watch you and your family grow over the past 8 years. Ps would love it if you did a “decades” video again those were so good
I've always assumed you and I are about the same age (I'm 38, almost 39). But I no longer apply foundation to my whole face, only applying to the areas that move the least. This works really well for me. I had so much trouble with makeup looking so good when it goes on, then a couple hours later I have wrinkles I didn't even know I had.
The best advice I've read for mature skin is that everything fades as you get older, & that makes for less definition. Your brows & lashes go white, your skin gets duller, & your natural lip color fades. So you need to add color to brows, lashes, cheeks, & lips, at a minimum. And use a much lighter hand than you used have when you were younger, too.
Merry Christmas!! My tip is to look at the color of the darkness under your eyes before you go with pink or peach. My problems are purple and yellow color corrector is my savior!! Once I use it, I have a light layer of concealer over it and like magic my undereyes look flawless!!!
I'm 66 & am learning many new ways to deal with products, application methods., etc. It can be frustrating at times, plus it takes me longer to do my makeup than it did some years ago. I always appreciate your tips & tricks videos. I always learn something. May love, peace & joy return to you & yours. Merry Christmas!!!
To hydrate any extra dry spots or to hydrate around your mouth; use a touch of a Hyaluronic acid eye cream. It absorbs fast and will be non-greasy. It helps plump the fine lines by your lips.
Merry Christmas Zabrena!! Thank you for reminding us of the reason for the season!! Less definitely IS more when we age. Now that I'm 60, I find tightlining and mascara are enough to accentuate my eyes. Using up precious real estate on my eyelids when using liner there was closing off my eyes too much. Also, lip liner looks pretty harsh on me - I've been loving those Neutrogena gloss sticks, specifically the Nude Almond and Nude Pink shades. Depending on whether I want a nude lip or a pink lip, those two will get me out the door in the morning in a flash! Thanks for these fabulous videos. May your family stay happy & healthy this Christmas season!!
Can you post an amazon link to the neutrogena lip products? I can't find them by searching what you put in above, and these sound like EXACTLY what I need at 60 yo! Thanks!

Now that I'm in my forties, I definitely have to amp up the moisturizer before my makeup application. I also find that I have to be more diligent in adhering to product expiration guidelines. I can't get away with the older, expired makeup I could when I was younger (ew, I know). The textures of expired product on my skin are less forgiving and more visible.
Zabrena i have just turned 70. I have tried everything. I absolutely detest wrinkles around my mouth. Even fillers and instant wrinkle fillers dont work. And the creasing skin above my movable eye lids.. nothing works. May you and your loved ones have Blessed Merry Christmas.❤
My game changer was doing the foundation on my forehead first, then my eyes and eyebrows, then the rest of the foundation. Never patchy around my eyebrows now and I don’t have to slowly and carefully try to go around the brows without getting foundation in them. Merry Christmas and bless you for sharing your love of our Father in heaven.
First you look beautiful and your hair color is stunning I learned this tip from you when applying powder to your under eyes to look up thin layer of course also when I line my inner rims of my eyes I dry my water line off with a qtip and then apply the liner I use a brown on the upper and a cream color on the lower

The last tip is to switch my outer corner shade and my lid shade positions. So the dark shade on the inner 1/3 of the lid and the light shade on the outer 2/3 of the lid. It opens the eye quite a bit. Use your crease shade as normal.
Hi Zabrena, thank you for doing this wonderful video, you look stunning, i wear on my lips nude tones now for my lipstick/gloss , but when I was in my 20’s ( late 80’s -mid 90’s ) it was reds, berries, hot pink with confidence, now if I wear reds only if it’s for a special event. May I wish you & your family a very merry Christmas and happy ,safe new year. Love Katherine xoxo
If you have dry, more mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles; I always recommend (and use) a hydrating primer like the Essence jelly gripping primer or the milk makeup hydrogrip primer. Primers with silicones can make fine lines, wrinkles and dry skin look very dry.
I am 72 and yes I still use makeup however, I am a "less is better" applier. I appreciate the tip on the blush placement and will start bringing my blush application up some.
Great tips, as always! For a primer, I use pure hyaluronic acid. Other primers accentuated wrinkles-not the blurring as promised! I don't know why the HA works, but it does for me (I discovered it serendipitously). May your Christmas be joyous and blessed.
One of the things I think is overlooked by most of the creators I watch is that they don’t address how to apply makeup based on your face shape. For example, I have a very high forehead and a longer face shape.. As a result, I don’t apply contour, bronzer and blush in an upward application because it elongates my already longer face. I apply it in an outward application… You have a low forehead and a rounder face and my application is completely different. Thanks for all you do.
I find it time consuming with all the skin prep in the morning wash face apply vitamin C serum, hyaluronic acid, moisturiser, Spf, face primer and finally foundation. You wouldn’t want to be in a hurry somewhere 😅Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas Zabrena! Thank you so much for these tips! I’m 64 and finding less is more as well! I use tinted moisturizers instead of regular foundations lately, I find it looks more natural and lighter on my skin. I’ve been loving IT cosmetics Nude Glow CC cream I find it really looks nice on my mature skin, again great video❤🎅🏻
Merry Christmas! I needed to get a photo taken recently so wanted to make sure my eyes popped. It took me almost an hour to do my makeup and I looked hideous. I need tips like this. ✝
Great tips and yes they are helpful. I’ve been stippling my foundation in an then go over with a beauty blender. I learned that from you. Thank you 😊 and Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 to you and your family and Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊 .
Clear lipliner. It keeps lippy on the lips and not in any lines around the lips. You can line your lips or even just line around the outside of your lips. Also, step away from the magnifying mirror before adding more or it will end up Too Much, especially concealer. Less is more. I've found that having a light lid with some slightly deeper shaping (to lessen the hood), lining on the underside of my top lashes, giving the lashes a good curl and some mascara is really all I need for the eyes. I do love a nice lip though, Revlon Wine with Everything or Raisin Rage, but Clinique's Black Honey is nice for a daily lip. Plus, using lippy as the blush I can match my skin tone much better than the paltry choices available in any line and they're not powdery at all.
I have gone through SO MANY POWDERS. 😅 I feel like my skin looks fine as I’m putting the rest of my makeup on, and then I add that little bit of powder and I instantly turn into a raisin. I too find the Elf Halo Glow works the best for me. I love Elf products! People rave about Givenchy and Huda Beauty, but I’m allergic to fragrance, and high end makeup companies seem to think fragrance is obligatory. 😒…oh, and Merry Christmas! 🎄
As always Zabrena, you are the Queen! The first time I saw you on YT, I gasped out loud. You truly are beautiful in an old Hollywood glam way. Even better, your heart is even more beautiful! I still prefer to *apply foundation with my fingers. Then I take a brush to it, and lastly a damp sponge. I'm currently loving the Maybelline serum. The Wet n Wild Photo Focus powder is even better than the ELF, which is saying something. I'm still struggling with my under eyes as I have circles, puffy bags AND texture. 🙄 Failed lipstick colors are cream blushes and I will always love Milani! I have never mastered eyeshadow the way you have, tho I try your techniques. I also wear glasses, and I think more subtle shadow works better in that case. As for brows, I have always had Brooke Shields' brows. My goal has not been to learn to emphasize them, but learn to keep them from taking over. 🙄 And, what the actual heck?! My *eyebrows are going gray! No one told me about this! 😮 A clear lip liner is my go to, and Lucas' Paw-Paw ointment (Amazon) is the best lip balm ever. Second place is A&D diaper ointment with lanolin. Cuticles, lips, cuts, feet, you name it. I was gifted a set of small size Mario Badescu facial sprays that I have been using as setting spray. To my delight, they work! And I have completely oily skin, and live in a Houston-esque climate. 👍 Z, I speak gratitude, blessings, and peace to you and your family. Thanks for being there. It means more than you know. 🙏🕯️🥰
I’m 66. The biggest change for me is lip tones. No more brights. No more dark shades unless they are very sheer like a lip oil. Vampy shades go Cruella on me. I stay mid tone. No concealer lips either. I stay in the rose and mauve family in the winter. I will go coral in the summer. But soft sheer shades. I also have found that warm eye tones now look better. Too much violet or blue looks bruised or like I am sick. Again, light to mid tones. Nothing too deep. The only exception will be a vivid pencil around my eyes in the summer with a tan. Teal and emerald especially. But no other eye makeup except mascara. Finally, little or no mascara on the bottom lashes. No darkness under my eyes. A lash serum has made all the difference in bringing back my lashes. Under my eyes I use the pink Brightening shade of Maybelline Age Rewind concealer and it is a pink tone. I set this with the elf Halo powder in the pink shade. Dark circles obliterated. On the complexion I use sheer hydrating tinted moisturizers. And here is a hint. Buy Essence Pure Nude highlighter. Dust it LIGHTLY all over the face as a finishing powder. It will set your face but add Hourglass glow at a much lower price point. If you are quite pale and want to spend a bit more but not as much as Hourglass try MAC Lightscapade dusted very lightly all over. NYX ThickitcStickit brow gel adds density.
So happy i came across your channel. The make-up content is always interesting, especially this one!! But overall you and your personality always lift me up and make my day better. Merry Christmas 🎄 sweet lady. I started putting on my foundation with a brush a few months ago. I put most on with a brush then use what I have left on t zone using a sponge over my whole face. I love love how it turns out. Using a blurring primer. I get lots of compliments on it.
Being 43, I find foundations to be too heavy. I've started using a CC cream on just the T zone. As far as powders go, Airspun, on just the T zone, has been a gamechanger. But I am thinking of trying the ELF Halo. Merry Christmas to all of you and your's.
Having trouble with the right type or amount of powder, I have been using a big fluffy face brush and dabbing lightly around my face after applying foundation to set the foundation and not leave it looking cakey! I have been doing this for a long time and love it!!
Merry Christmas Zabrena!! Thank you as always for your tips and product recommendations. Will be turning 56 on Christmas Day this year. Hadn't heard of adding concealer to outer edges of the mouth to create lift. Will definitely try this!! Thank you!! Xx🎄⛄
You have beautiful skin❤ I just turned 40 and my skin is so thin and my undereyes are so puffy already 😬 What's your favorite serum or product that you think helps your skin the most? I do wear spf 50 everyday!
Merry Christmas!! I wish you the best. You are so sweet, smart, warm hearted Your children are very lucky!! Best wishes from a stranger in a foreign country thousands of miles away!!
Im 55 and it seems I have no brows left, fuller brows are a lot more youthful with the caveat that you go a little lighter in color. Otherwise it can look harsh and draw attention to every eye wrinkle. Dont be afraid of bright blush, just use it carefully, you lose color in your face as we age. If you eyes are heavily hooded be sure to bring both a matt ivory shade all the way in including the side of your nose,, it opens the eye. bring your crease color in as well, above the ivory
Look for products with caffeine in them. Ice rollers also help. I think one of the ELF eye brightners or concealers contains caffeine. Black tea bags soaked with ice water make a quick easy home remedy and a relaxing lie down.
@@MD-bl6gy my eye cream has caffeine and I agree, very helpful. I like to do gua sha too but don’t always have the time! Thanks, happy holidays to you. 😊🎄✨

Merry Christmas Dear Zabrena! I am so glad I found your channel. May God bless you and your family this holiday season and also in the coming year. 🎄🎁❤️
Hi Zabrena merry Christmas to you and your family. Highlight can be a little tricky as we age, but don’t stop using it just change the placement and product. Anything glittery for me is a no go, but a soft pearlescent highlight or a glossy product can be really beautiful. Also using it under your blush can make it look softer on the face. We still want brightness and to have light hitting the face in key areas, but blinding highlight is for the younger faces. Lines and texture don’t look fabulous with blinding highlights unfortunately, however if you just love it and feel extra confident go for it. For me a softer look is better now in my fifties 😂. Best wishes x
Using a blending sponge for applying setting powder to the undereyes after concealer is a tip I learnt from you... an absolute game changer for me... Thank you so much ❤❤❤

Dawn DelRio
The last tip is to switch my outer corner shade and my lid shade positions. So the dark shade on the inner 1/3 of the lid and the light shade on the outer 2/3 of the lid. It opens the eye quite a bit. Use your crease shade as normal.
I love the Ulta undereye brightening stick with the elf brightening concealer combo
Love the brow tips. Pencil can be too heavy and powder alone isn't enough when your brows are patchy like mine 😊💕
I am 72 and yes I still use makeup however, I am a "less is better" applier. I appreciate the tip on the blush placement and will start bringing my blush application up some.
I love the Fenty loose powder and the wet n Wild loose powder. Either put on with the real Techniques miracle powder sponge.
Loved this video Zabrena. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄
What I’ve been doing lately is using less and less makeup! Usually lipstick and mascara only. But love to watch your videos anyhow, Zabrena!
Hi love the way you styled your hair in this video would you mind sharing what method you used? many thanks 😊
Your hair looks beautiful!!!
Your hair is so beautiful! How do you get those waves? Thank you for all you do all year and merry Christmas!
Great tips, as always! For a primer, I use pure hyaluronic acid. Other primers accentuated wrinkles-not the blurring as promised! I don't know why the HA works, but it does for me (I discovered it serendipitously).
May your Christmas be joyous and blessed.
You look so beautiful! Loving the hair ❤
Thank you for these tips! I needed them! Merry Christmas 🎄
I take my contouring, blush, and highlight a touch higher than where they normally go.
Merry Christmas 🎅 I am in my 50's and just started wearing blush again. I apply it just like you did. It really makes a difference.
Thank you Zabrena! Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
What eyeshadow palette are you wearing on your eyes??? Your eye makeup looks faboulous!
I too have memory issues! I'm 49, and appreciate this video so much ❤!
WOW!!! your hair is looking magnificent!!!
Really good tips, all of them. Girl you are just as gorgeous without makeup as you are with. Lucky lady! Merry Christmas.💕
Great video. Very informative. Thank you!
Thank you for the educating tips!
You look gorgeous Zabrena. Your hair is fabulous. Happy holidays to you and your precious family. God bless❤
Great video. Lots of fabulous makeup tips!
Merry Christmas and healthy joyful new year to you and your family.
Excellent and informative. Thanks so much.
Merry Christmas. Great tips. TFS. Take care
Failed lipstick colors are cream blushes and I will always love Milani!
A clear lip liner is my go to, and Lucas' Paw-Paw ointment (Amazon) is the best lip balm ever.
Z, I speak gratitude, blessings, and peace to you and your family.
I have so much trouble just trying to shape my brows let alone put color in.
Merry Christmad Zabrena! Thank you for all the good advice and excellent video's. ❤
You are the best-simple as all that!
So happy i came across your channel. The make-up content is always interesting, especially this one!! But overall you and your personality always lift me up and make my day better. Merry Christmas to you, your darling family and never forget those fur babies who always light up our lives. Miss seeing Tilly! A healthy, happy and most prosperous 2024 to one and all. Your hair is beautiful, from someone who has very fine and thin hair!🥴🤶🎁🕊🎄🎈
You're GORGEOUS, Zabrena.
I love your videos 💗
Merry Christmas! One of your best videos. Thank you.
Merry Christmas 🎄 sweet lady. I started putting on my foundation with a brush a few months ago. I put most on with a brush then use what I have left on t zone using a sponge over my whole face. I love love how it turns out. Using a blurring primer. I get lots of compliments on it.
Your hair looks beautiful. Have an amazing holiday with your family make memories and enjoy blessings. ❤❤❤❤
Great useful tips ! Thank you. What is your suggestion for a smoothing primer ?
Being 43, I find foundations to be too heavy. I've started using a CC cream on just the T zone. As far as powders go, Airspun, on just the T zone, has been a gamechanger. But I am thinking of trying the ELF Halo. Merry Christmas to all of you and your's.
Merry Christmas blessings to you and your family beautiful Zabrena 🎄. You always give us so many great tips. Thank you so much.
I really really really love these tips especially the brows because I can’t do brows and the concealer thank you so much❤ Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thanks for all you do. Trust you with all my makeup choices! And Girl! Your hair is Sssllaaayyyyiiinnngggg!
Having trouble with the right type or amount of powder, I have been using a big fluffy face brush and dabbing lightly around my face after applying foundation to set the foundation and not leave it looking cakey! I have been doing this for a long time and love it!!
Thank You! You are such a Doll! Love your Beautiful Energy - Merry Christmas to You & Your Family !🎄❤️
Ooooh I've learned some new tips here today! Thank you so much.
Great video. Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family.
Such great Tips, thank you so much and by the way you look even more stunning with this hair style..... Merry Christmas beautiful lady! ❤🎉
All of these are really great tips! Thanks and Happy Holidays ✨
Merry Christmas 🎄 My biggest tip.. less is more. I use the fenty eaze drop skin tint- it’s light coverage and perfect. Ive also added false lashes to my mkup look- what fun!
Merry Christmas Dear Zabrena! I am so glad I found your channel. May God bless you and your family this holiday season and also in the coming year. 🎄🎁❤️
Your hair is so gorgeous 😍
Great video as always!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family🌲🌲love placing my blush higher up😊
Happy new year from Greece..thank you Zabrena to share your knowledge for our makeup.
EXCELLENT tips. Thanks so much!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone! May God bless you and bestow his many blessings upon all of you!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Just the video I was waiting for. I recently turned 40 and have been changing my makeup routine for more natural finish 😊
Thank you so much
❤❤❤
Do you use a damp sponge? Or a dry blender? Thanks in advance! 😊
