I like these BSJ guides because he delves into the hero's kit beyond the scope of a patch or meta. I feel like I learned almost as much about the carries I actually play as I learned about jugg. Breaking down the builds and thought processes into constituents throughout the course of a game is very useful for a low-mmr player like myself. 6 months from now if I'm taking a look at how to play jugg, I'll look up this guide.

The thing is, BSJ talks a lot about concepts. and concepts survive meta shifts. If you think about it, a meta shift is basically a change of balance between the importance of different concepts (this is now worth more than that, which wa snot the case before, this means that now this concept is stronger than this one in most cases, so these heroes become stronger and this gameplans become stronger...)
im having alot of success with something like phase drum yasha mkb. even after the nerfs, autoattacking with an mkb while spinning with the lvl 20 dmg talent allows you to dish exceptional single target damage against tanky armored heroes
I was just started to play Jug lately and this guide teached me a lot. I lost two games just because of distruptor in one and other for shadow shaman and lion combo both with daggers. You pointing out which carries , supports and offlaners u dont like to pick against and heroes with no threat for picking is so helpful. Also Manta being BKB for Jug is great mindset to hold on. OK Thanks! I was just confused, I worked with a bunch of americans full time from 2012-2018 and don't think I ever heard catch pronounced this way, I wasn't sure if it was a dota word or whatever.
Troll is also easy to play and do good with once you understand that he is a melee hero and only use his ultimate when you actually need it. It takes some time to get used to switching between ranged and melee off cooldown for slowing/damaging but it isn't that hard. Troll use the same build as Jugg and once he has got the Battlefury he is a god at farming and he can spam every ability which makes him really hard to fight.
There's also force-move command (you can have it as alt+RMB I believe) which can be helpful when your path is blocked and you want to move strictly in the direction you clicked, like in the trees example.

The onlt weakness of jugg as a hero is that he is a frontliner and a standing ground type of hero that doesnt really have a option of running besides spin tp (very often best way of running as jugg in fights is actually fighting to last breath kinda similar to terrorblade if you catch my meaning) but he cant man up with other stand ground heroes such as ursa terrorblade troll monkey sven and........ At the other hand he is also a bit weak against heroes such as PL or slark that like ti kite in and out becuz he has lack of lock down thats just it
Very new player so excuse the ignorance, I get the fact that spin is a proxy BKB however in a scenario where say witch doctor tried to stun while jug is spinning, does this interrupt spin given the stun ability is AOE & not a single target?

I'm a support player (largely 5, infrequently 4) and I want to start learning pos1 as well. I enjoy Juggernaut a bunch, but sometimes it feels kind of jarring to play him due to his lack of disables and late game fall-off. What's another carry pick that can help cover these shortcomings while still allowing me to learn fundamental aspects of pos1? I'm thinking Sven, Wraith King and Faceless Void. Are they good right now?
luna is also a nice carry to learn - she farms and pushes extremely fast and she's fairly strong throughout the mid game to late game (she can fall off to hypercarries tho).
PL pretty good, FV is also like jugg except you don't have the utilities jugg have and doesn't fall of late, AM is pretty weak early to midgame you only get strong once you have bf manta and basher, WK is ok but falls off to hypercarries in late, Sven is ok but you get fucked by halberd evasion and ghost scepter same with LS you just get kitted, Luna is ok but you need to have 3-4 items before joining teamfights. TB is ok take objectives and farm off meta, Troll is decent like Jugg you can carry mid-late but you fall off once you lose momentum, Lycan is still pretty good you take objectives early and you can fight early only downside is you have a timer, Naga is like an AM where you don't really wanna fight instead you wanna pressure lanes, Ember is ok you can play high tempo, Morph is ok also once you get manta you can start playing with your team, CK is meh you don't have the ability to farm back if you lose your lane, Medusa is ok since you hit a big timing once you get manta, Slark is like Jugg you fall off once you lose momentum, Ursa is ok, MK is ok you can fight early and play around your team, Gyro is ok you can fight with your team once you get aghs and bkb you also deal a shit load of magic damage, PA is like an am you need shitloads of space before you can start raping them.
For me sven is a kinda similar to jugg but worse IMO, sven with his low mobility can be easily kited with multiple disables from enemy team and he kinda falls off in late game since he doesn't really recover well if he's behind. I think it's better to spam wraith king than void and sven tbh, sven is one of the worst amongst these three heroes you suggested.

Also you didn't mention about bloodseeker, drow and Spectre, specifically these heroes are HELLA STRONG in late game and doesn't fall off easily but their early game is quite punishable. Other notable mentioning heroes are like Weaver with great early game tempo controller, bristleback for decent sustain in the laning stage and can snowball early with phase boots vanguard, lone druid with good pushing capability.

Played over 250 games with Jugg with 60% win rate at 2 to 3k mmr . I can tell one thing he is best at making team fight 4v5, 3v5 because some smart ass will try to kill you while you were pushing their tower and then you spin TP to your tower and boom a big disadvantage for opponent by talking fight 4v5 as one or two supports committed TP and didn't communicated with there team to back off.
You are suggesting that allies in 2k games would actually even listen 😆 But anyway, its true, it gives nice advantage, or they wont tp to defend and you take raxes

To anyone reading this comment, I just lost a game as troll because of two guys who bought halberd and I bought a linkens for it but still lost even though we had mega creeps advantage so please can anyone tell me what I shouldve done in that situation
Status resistance. S&Y, satanic, Titan silver and bkb. Linkens is only Good on elusive heroes like storm, ember, slark. Heroes which dont stay too long in a fight, they go in and out, So linkens is hard to pop. On troll is a waste. Just go 1/2 wraith bands, wand, treads, bfury or maelstrom, sange and yasha or bkb. Priority depending on the game
Was playing a game as jugg recently. Had a slardar on my team. We won all lanes early. My team started roaming as 4 making shit happen. I would farm towards them and show up when my ult was off cd. The enemy team had sniper and void so we were worried about late. Well, my team eventually started to lose and for some reason every time they respawned they started running right at the enemy and dying again. They would then ping me and start flaming "jugg isn't a late game carry". Eventually we were trapped in our base. I bought a blink dagger and already had bf manta and aghs. because of that blink dagger I was able to jump the enemy carries with the slardar and we turned the game around. Game went back and forth. Upgraded the blink to swift blink and the game became really easy. We won. I now build blink dagger and try to get swift blink as well every game.

AOE stuns don't interrupt jugg spin. Usually the most common spin tp piercers (on the top of my head) is any hero with Abyssal Blade and Axe call.

I don't understand why you would move command while spinning instead of just right clicking on the hero you want to follow.

after you get ags you can upgrade it much like necrobook or dagon. you get aganim's status effect. works on every hero

Heroes which dont stay too long in a fight, they go in and out, So linkens is hard to pop. On troll is a waste. Just go 1/2 wraith bands, wand, treads, bfury or maelstrom, sange and yasha or bkb. Priority depending on the game

Was playing a game as jugg recently. Had a slardar on my team. We won all lanes early. My team started roaming as 4 making shit happen. I would farm towards them and show up when my ult was off cd. The enemy team had sniper and void so we were worried about late. Well, my team eventually started to lose and for some reason every time they respawned they started running right at the enemy and dying again. They would then ping me and start flaming "jugg isn't a late game carry". Eventually we were trapped in our base. I bought a blink dagger and already had bf manta and aghs. because of that blink dagger I was able to jump the enemy carries with the slardar and we turned the game around. Game went back and forth. Upgraded the blink to swift blink and the game became really easy. We won. I now build blink dagger and try to get swift blink as well every game.
As a carry player myself, Jugg is one of the heroes I just can't feel comfortable on. This was really helpful, thanks.

Are you sure that healing ward gives gold and exp to enemies if they kill it? I think thats wrong man
Literally just look it up or try it yourself. dota2.gamepedia.com/Healing_Ward It gives 75 gold and EXP, which is nearly half of the way to level 2, not that anyone would go level 1 healing ward.
