- This is a 16 pill Toshiba 2879 experimenter box, built with a 32 pill case, cabinet, and heatsinks. Also comes with a 500 amp regulated Fat Boy power supply. Also included are 16 brand new Toshiba 2879's. This was a box I built about 8 years ago for extensive experimentation and research and it served me very well. ***I strongly urge that this amplifier be tuned out by a highly qualified technician for its final intended operating frequency!***

Such a beauty. I remember when you built it and ran the 220 line in your other place for the power supply. Just spectacular.
Holy crap, that's right! Come to think of it, it was almost 10 years ago. Wow, time is flying by.
Just an FYI brother and I used to build our own amps, we found that having them long like that is not the best due to the combining lengths so we started making them like a suitcase where it would hinge. We also started using hybrid combiners and they were linear with full bias. Have an 8 or 16 pill on each side. The amp would mount on its side instead of being flat. Fits perfectly behind the seat of the truck and easy to reach connectors and switches. We only made a few as they were just our own and some were prototypes.
That's a neat idea. Same here with just my own. I built everything from a 1 pill up to this 16 pill and experimented with different biasing schemes. And BTW, I just checked out your You Tube channel. Very cool👍. I subscribed

The snowflakes are genuinely in the spectrum display. TOTALY COOL! My hats off to the fellas who take the time to incorporate that into the skins.
