Nate, I just purchased your sub 4 hour course earlier today for my first marathon.
QUESTION- When I do my long run, should I do them all on a road surface? Or every other week a road surface and the other week a track surface? Or a road surface once a month and a track surface the rest of the month?
    Thanks coach,
Marc (PS- I could not find your e-mail address that worked, so trying this as a last resort.)

Hey Marc, looks like you got the ebook which is MUCH more condensed version of a plan. Since you're a fan and supporter of the channel I'm going to send you a 16 week plan. I'll send it over your way so it is a little more clear. I'd focus on doing the long runs on dirt roads if you have access to them. If not, pavement. Yes, alternate road surfaces to help take some of the impact off your ligaments and joints. Check your email.

What is your opinion on progressive long runs?

One of my favorite types of long runs. I'll touch on this topic in a future video but definitely challenging the energy systems of the body working at gradually harder efforts will definitely produce a huge physiological boost provided the athlete is jogging on easy days and adapting to the heavy stresses being placed on the body. Thanks for your question and support of RDA.
