this video was very informative. I was aware of emotional eating but was not aware there was emotional hunger or nicotine hunger. I had heard people feel more hungry or gain weight after quiting smoking but i never understood why. I had just quit a week ago and was only eating once a day so it was really confusing feeling so hungry all the time, no doubt knowing about these different kinds of hunger will help.
This lady talks a lot of logical sense. Im on day 7 of not smoking and I have been watching a lot of these videos and I agree with everything that has been said.
I love how succinct and circumspect your videos are! You use psychology and physiology in perfect conjunction to explain cigarette addiction. Side note: I have smoked for 28 years. For me, you have been life-changing. I am truly impressed. I have not smoked in 10 days (since the very first day I saw a video of you - and I think I’ve watched all of them now...), and though I read Alan Carr’s the easy way to quit smoking months ago, this has been a very different experience. Adding what I had already known, to Alan Carr, to your approach…the CBQ method, it has changed my outlook, by changing my inner dialogue. Thank you so much, Nasia!!!!
I love to munch on carrots with my homemade sour cream dipping sauce as a snack when the nicotine hunger arises or my hands and mouth feel restless and out of place. Low calorie and healthy.
This is my favorite video that I've watched so far. One of the things I've been concerned about was the weight gain. In the past, due to a lot of other issues, I've had trouble gaining weight. I've always been fairly thin, and I know that a lot of the reason for that is genetic. However, there are many members of my family who have struggled with obesity as well, so I'm a little self conscious about the possibility. This video helped me to keep control of and recognize my hunger for nutrition or thirst vs. my emotional hunger. (I'm on day 7 as of this writing, so the nicotine hunger is no longer a factor.) The most important take away from this video for me is to ask myself in those craving moments, "What am I missing right now?" to find another emotionally fulfilling behavior to replace having a cigarette. Thank you for this video and this great idea!
OMG You are Amazing 👏 !!! I’m so Glad I stumbled upon your educational info. I’m a new subscriber & 46 yrs old Family man smoking for close to 27 yrs now, I’m someone in Great need to quit smoking for a much needed surgery, like last year yesterday 😢. I failed quitting smoking cold turkey twice in week # 3 in the past 2 years. Listening to your method makes total sense & your insight was most helpful. For the first time I feel certain I can Implement your teaching & actually have a fighting chance to quit for good. I’m also interested in more info on the nutrition needed for the quitting stages. I must Thank you 🙏🏽😊 in advance, as You’re doing a great job & a truly marvelous service to us all who are trying to quit & get healthier. Very grateful to come across you & to be part of this community following you. Keep up the amazing work & God Bless you
I like this video, so helpful! I had quit smoking for 7 months back in 2017 "cold turkey" but then I went back to it. Now I'm ready to quit again. What worked for me at the beginning of my journey of quitting is that after eating a meal I would drink green tea which was like a substitute to replace smoking which helped me tremendously! This video is also a good start to breaking the habit! For those who have a hard time with the craving after a meal it's best to find something that will replace the nicotine if you plan on quitting cold turkey.
I am from a place where nobody thinks smoking or chewing tobacco or placing tobacco leaves between cheeks and gums in moderation effect the mental and physical efficiency. Especially my immediate surroundings, my family members don't acknowledge this fact. But I acknowledge the fact that taking nicotine in moderation can affect my mental health and physical health.Your videos are helping me a lot. After relapsing few times ,I am on the fourth day of nicotine free life.In my case it's the both mental and physical inefficiency made me to choose quit tobacco. Ma'am, I wanna know what made you choose quitting smoking.
I smoked for 20 years. I had no plan to stop it. 17 days ago. I saw one of your videos. I tried to stop for a couple of hours and now I stoped for 17 days. When I have craving , I check your video to have an advise or to know what is really going on in my body. I hope I will stop it for ever. Question: How long does it take to do not have emotional craving?
I enjoy all your videos I just came across to you kind of one of the first times I've seriously thought about quitting smoking and I have smoked I'm 63 I started at 9 but came regular smoker around 13 it is as much a part of me as breathing... but for the first time I see the possibility from listening to you and please keep it up! You're a smart beautiful young lady and helping other people is very fulfilling so again thank you I will keep watching I think one of these days...
I hope you are still smoke free. I have tried to quite multiple times. The longest I went without cigarette and all forms of nicotine was a year. I’m giving it another go I’m at the 2 1/2 month mark as of today.
I ask myself “am I really hungry, or is this a stop smoking anxiety hunger, how much did I eat already today, what exercise did I get today?” I quit 2 weeks ago, and am still struggling. Driving myself crazy….LOL!
Oh my god, thank u so much ! your video about how the withdrawal is good for me completely change my perspective !!! and motivated me all over again 🙏🏻 please keep your work, you are actually helping a lot of people.
The only fear i have to stay smokefree is that i will not have a reason to come and watch your videos.😍 You are makin some good points in this video. I am on day three and the thought on reducing the overeating of the first two days is becoming reality today. I am fidning it sexy being guided from a lady like you. Lot's of love sweet Nasia! 😘

dopamine/acetylcholine/adrenaline ... hard pathways. 3 months you might recover. chose the right foods. because of blood sugar spikes, like like nicotine do it. and she's right... stay hydrated way before meals. thanks for the video
On day 4 .... Along with nicotine gum I quit for over a year during covid and work from home but started again after i started going back to office 5 days a week..
Congratulations on your success!! Dizziness should be done by week 10 but everyone is different. This could very well be because of your nutrition. Are you eating more sugar than before? Drinking more coffee? You can find more in this article: smokingcessationformula.com/nicotine-withdrawal-symptoms/
This is interesting and got me thinking about which of my hungers I'm failing to satisfy with the wrong thing, usually nicotine, at any given time; Especially since nicotine only creates more hunger for nicotine and my life overall is deeply unsatisfying, largely as a result of nicotine addiction and the self-imposed psychological captivity meaning I fail to solve problems...
Is it maybe better to deal with the emotion hunger befor qutting smoking ? Ialways deal with a big emotional pressure and i feel so bad when in some situation that i light up one, its such a deep fear of those emotions
Hi Tanja, thank you for your comment. Our emotions are a huge smoking trigger and learning how to weaken your triggers and your response to them is part of the third stage of the CBQ Method, "Change Your Smoking Pattern." In this video, you will learn 3 ways to manage your emotions without smoking: ua-cam.com/video/n0oRvXs6sdA/v-deo.html
Hi Marie-Theresa, thanks for your comment. In this video, Nasia explains how easy it is to mix these hungers up. We recommend to make sure you're always hydrated and if you still feel thirsty, then it may be a nutrition hunger or emotional hunger that you're experiencing. 🙂

What do you recommend for nutrition especially for beginning of the day where crave is high ?
Increase greens and protein, have fresh fruit in the morning, drink a lot of water. Cut off ALL other forms of sugar, white carbs, processed food.
Thanks man

I feel constipated
4:03-4:32
Funnily true.
How can we expel nicotine from the body?
Variety and change. Why not replace it with Jack Daniels
I drank lots and lots and lots of water, more water than a human needs, and I still want nicotine
🙏🙏🙏💐💐
Chew sugar free gum, pop a toothpick in your mouth to satisfy your oral fixation.
German ya
Blah blah blah, not learning anything.
That’s interesting
