Not sure if it’s fake. She did not know it was an expensive card. Precedes to sell it for 500$. If my dad sold my old cards, he would just be like. “$20 for the whole box”.
Exactly. If you don't think it has any value, it'll be yard sale prices. 500$ means they know it has value lol
Yup. I bought two binders of base set and fossil from a garage sale a few years ago for $5 in total. This dude had lots of random stuff. The cards though were in pretty good shape. No Charizards but plenty of good foil cards and even a few 1st editions.
I still have a big pokemon book it an old school one it has alot of pages
Yeah exactly how my mother sold all my first edition cards before they were worth ten cents

#1. Don't spend thousands on a piece of paper.
When u realize thousands of dollars is literally just pieces of paper 😂
“He probably doesn’t know this is a very expensive card” *sells it for $500*
I mean buying a first edition base set charizard for $500 you mustve been living under a rock the past 15 years to believe thats gonna be a real card.
Especially when they go for over 300k now
Yeah like in the story they thought " the mum didn't know it was that expensive" but Also the mum "sold it for $500" i.e a PS5
@Deleto Blue lmaoooo 5k.? What rock are you living in.? Theres no way in hell anyone will sell a first edition shadowless zard in mint condition for less than 25k
Awsome.
I gave mine away for free when I stopped being into Pokémon. This was also when Pokémon slowed down and became less popular. If I had my charzard card from the 90s I would have sold it for $500. Probably would have sold it for $100 lol.
How hilarious would it be if under the sticker was a genuine charazard, completely ruined.
Moral of the story, don't buy if they write a sob story about desperately needing money.
Also make sure to check reviews if other people have bought the same thing from the same seller
Plot twist: The two cards were accidentally combined together, and he ripped a Charizard

@ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡ ChecKlisT Gaming why can't you let the conversation go bruh 😑
Maybe she was selling her son’s cards and he had a fake charizard, but she couldn’t tell
That’s what I was thinking too
No, if it was a case of a parent selling their kids cards they wouldn’t know the value. It’s unlikely that they would take just the charizard card and randomly put it up for $500.
In situations like this, it will mostly just be the parent selling off all the cards in bulk like at a garage sale. To them; all those cards are worthless. They wouldn’t have the insight or care to know that a charizard is worth more than a blastoise or venusaur or whatever, and to put it up for sale individually. If they had that much insight to know charizard is worth more, then they would also have the insight to research the card, and see how it’s worth thousands of dollars.
It’s obvious that it was a scam. Their hope/intention is that someone is going to see “1st edition charizard” for only $500, and thinking that they’re getting an amazing deal off a dumb parent who doesn’t know any better.
But the truth is that if it was really a dumb parent who doesn’t know any better you could get that card from them for like 5 bucks or 20 bucks.
@@lovesgibson didn’t think about that

Hey,just a random story, so I was really wanting to buy a booster box so I found a really good deal for an Unbroken bonds booster box and it was only 75$ and it was a bit skeptical but it had really good reviews and said it had fast shipping so I bought it and it took about a month and a couple of days and I finally gotten it and I was really excited I opened it and it was fake with a fake seal (the website said FACTORY seal) and I was very dissapointed because I had saved up also the return policy was you could only return it within 30 days and it took longer then 30 days to ship so I just decided to open it and the cards and packs were VERY fake and only had 8 cards a pack also I got Unbroken bonds and inside the packs there were Ultra prisim cards! Moral of the story: NEVER BUY FROM POKE PLANET and also don’t buy Pokémon cards from sketchy websites that are way lower in price.
Imagine peeling the real Charizard, only to see sadness in the back..
I was trying to come up on an uneducated single mom and played myself instead: a Craigslist story
Yep, basically!
I hate how many "proxy" listing we can find these days. They need to be removed entirely and get sued by nintendo. And they even dare to sell one pack for 3 dollars or a booster display of xy for 200. And ppl bid on them like wtf?
It's become an absolute joke. To collect anymore is very expensive due to these rediculous listings. Ppl buy everything and resell for way over MSRP. I used to get booster boxes of evolutions for $80. And now they're just so inflated it's unbelievable. Set is still being printed, it is not a rare set at all.... Just over hyoeed like everything else anymore. It's really sad.
@@-JahBlaze- well officially they have stopped printing since last year November or so. Thats why they skyrocket like crazy cause every new collector tries to get one for nostalgic purpose...I also bought one but just for investment. Not gonna touch it for many years.
@@shinjid3705 I should've researched the print run before commenting, Lolol. But I still think it's crazy how expensive some of the fairly modern sets have become. Used to find some of this stuff in CLEARANCE! I don't think that'll be happening much anymore lol
@@-JahBlaze- not until everything is normalized. So this is a good chance to get hold on some sets because they might not get a reprint. Nintendo is already shoving one set after another out as fast as possible for some reason

As soon I hear a sob story on why there selling what ever, I'm out. In my experience there all scams. Even if not, i treat all such story's as scams. This is also compounded with commons sense. If something is to good to be true, then it is. Like a car or motorcycle way under estimated value then some sob story.
