Totally fantastic. Have you been influenced by any drummer when you started playing, Any favorite drummers? Then I have to ask what do you think of Les Binks?
My main influences would be Brian Downey, Phil Taylor, Bill Ward, and other drummers in that style. Mainly those old 70’s drummers, when drums sounded like real drums ( I think drums are just over produced nowadays). Btw, Les Binks is great, I prefer him over Scott Travis. SÓL
I’m not familiar with Middle Eastern patterns at all. But I guess traditional rhythms all come from the same primordial place, so I can see how there would be similarities. (SÓL)
Unique, fantastic, underrated drummer with a very distinct sound of his own!
How about a play through of Sunken Lungs?
Epic!

speaking of "traditional" rhythms and percussion do you have any thoughts on middle eastern patterns and rhythms? I hear some similarities personally.
