Gorgon is much cheaper, much much much stronger, and can handle 4S power without breaking, and seems to have much better parts all around. I don't see how the Stampede is even relevant anymore.
Are you referring to a Kevin Talbot video for the "proof" that a Gorgon can run 4s? Look, I've nothing against Arrma, I own 2 Arrma vehicles myself. But when the 3s BLX line (which the Gorgon is inferior to) has plastic ring and input gears in the diffs, gears that lasted me 5 weeks.... I think it's safe to say that the Gorgon will not "handle" 4s. It might tolerate 4s for maybe one whole battery pack, but it ain't gonna be happy afterwards. Like I said, I've got nothing against Arrma, I'd buy the Gorgon over the Stampede even if both cost the same price... But be realistic: that Gorgon would disintegrate if you ran 4s thru it more than once. Please don't fudge the truth in your quest to prove Arrma is better than Traxxas. You're just pissing people off because you're making unrealistic claims. No matter which company is better in reality, you're just making Arrma fans look bad and desperate with your exaggerations. That doesn't help your case.
Discontinue the stampede drop the price of the hoss(it's overpriced anyways) and make a 2wd version. Otherwise the gorgon has no long-term competition. Arrma wins this versus for sure.😊
I'm a Traxxas fan, especially Xmaxx and Maxx, TRX I like them all, but the Gorgon is really getting some good reviews... definitely good for a first timer 💯
Love my Gorgon and granite. Just put my first pack through the Gorgon and it’s so fun being 2WD, kinda love it, something different. Also love my losi DBpro and e revo 2.0 though my god!
Most of my life I’ve had traxxas. And even recently when I got back into the hobby seeing how far electrics have come since I first started the hobby in the 80’s and 90’s, I’ve bought a few more traxxas. I have the XRT and the Slash BL 2. But when I’d go to the hobby shop I always had one eye over in the Arrma aisle, even though I’d never owned one. Then it happened, the Gorgon came out. Saw a bunch of reviews on here, yours included, and I had to have one. I still think traxxas has great products. I still have all my old traxxas nitro cars from the 90’s. The nitro stampede, the nitro sport, etc. But they’re shelf queens now. But after buying the Gorgon and experiencing what I got for my money, I was sold on Arrma. I even went out yesterday and bought the Big Rock. I’ve gotten to a point where when I walk into my hobby shop now, I walk right past the traxxas aisle to the Arrma aisle. And here’s why. Not because I don’t like traxxas anymore, I love their RC stuff, but for me, a blue collar guy without a lot of expandable income, it comes down to what am I getting for the price I’m paying. And let’s be honest, except maybe the XRT and Kraton 8s (both $999 at my hobby shop) across the board, most all arrmas stuff is cheaper than traxxas. As an example, I saw the traxxas mini E Revo there. A tiny car, probably still good quality, but tiny car, priced at $300. On the other side of the aisle, Arrma has the Big Rock, a much bigger and more solid looking product, for $350. As a consumer, that’s something I pay close attention to. For me something like that isn’t even a decision. I’d pay $350 for a BigRock all day long over a little tiny traxxas car that’s only $50 cheaper. Like I said I still love traxxas and have a LOT of their products past and present. But I’m finding it really hard to keep looking at their same old cars and trucks, at much higher prices than comparable Arrma RC cars and trucks. I mean you just proved my way of thinking in this video. For $30 less than the stampede, with the Gorgon I feel you’re getting more accessories with better parts, like bearings and such, better charger, for less money. Still love my traxxas stuff. But I can tell you I’m slowly starting to become an Arrma fanboy. 😂
Arrma makes decent vehicles certainly much better than their sister company Axial. They're neither cheaper than Traxxas nor better but they're definitely different. I would say buy best vehicle you can at the time you buy no matter who makes it. i'm watching this video to see which budget give to a friend so they don't wreck my nice trucks rc to go with my new stampede, and I have a granite in the mail too. I can fix anything on the 2wd stampede in five seconds so I'm leaning that way but will see. But I really want a stampede 2 Wheel Dr vxl which is 10 times better than either of the vehicles in this video, but that has to be on eBay
Woke up to this badboy comparison Jaytee This must have been a tuff one seen you really like the stampede chassis😂m Thanks Jaytee U d man for this comparison ✊🏿💯
Hey Man. I just want to say how much I enjoy your videos. I've been heavily into RC for a few years now and regularly watch a number of RC'ers that I subscribe to. I stumbled across you only 2 weeks ago when researching one particular car and I just really like your style. You share information well, get straight to the point, have good quality video, and a soothing voice! (some people are too shouty or full of themselves). I've watched around half of your backlog of videos now and have obviosly subscribed. Keep up the good work buddy.
JT, you have to HAVE TO do some kind of corrally vs Arrma. Everyone is calling the kagama the kraton killer and the spark the typhon killer. Please do the comparison JT style, speed durability ect. We all trust your honest reviews let's do this. Thanks you rock!!
There’s people putting powerful brushless systems in the gorgon, and it takes it no problem 😉 where I live the pede cost twice as much! I could buy a gorgon and a max10 combo and still be cheaper than the pede😅
One thing no one talks about is how long will it be around, armma is great but they are starting to discontinue just like team associated. Great review 🤙
Stampede is a nice rc car but a too old, gorgon is a new formula, toughter and overall better.... is comparing a medium low range smartphone from the 2010 with a new one of today
Gorgon chissis is inspired by the granite voltage chassis. But is highly improved. Drivetrain is much much stronger, chassis is beefed up. Bottom loading battery tray, driveshafts are from the 3s lineup. Motor is a 550 14t can instead of 540 20t can. It goes 8mph faster. 18mph vs 26mph. The truck is now virtually bullet proof and every weak point of the voltage has been addressed.

People are excited over the Gorgon because its a new release. Give it a few years and it will go the way of the Voltage.
Great informative vid on both cars. Gorgon looks like a nice fun truck to have to. Got me a Gorgon the way as well to.
Good choice!
A really good Comparison
Watch a lot of RC videos, your one of the best out there. Keep it up.

Looks like the front left shock on the pede is already bent/broken? 😮
Waiting for this 1 let's go !
The stempede everything will break. The hubs and the axles are the main ones then the shocks. Theres stempedes reselling for 300-350$ here BRUSHED
what....that is crazy at that price!!
If the motor is in front of the rear axle it's mid motor. It's a little far back so it would be a mid rear motor

The Stampede obviously

What are you talking about the gorgon pulls wheelies with ease, the gorgon is actually faster. The gorgon does 26mph and the Traxxas does 25mph
Need bring out brushless gorgon
Ty man ❤excellent video

Gorgon is super fun handles well does like 25 stock 26 on2s and jumps well

Stampede front spring seat is coming off ,don't loose it ,front left
