I do not understand any negative comments against our animal friends and the friends of the animals . . . So be nice people.
This young lady is a wonderful person who cares about our animal friends.

Your contact with nature is really amazing, don't forget that, I wish I could bond with wild animals the way you do..

You are awesome for spending so much of your precious time with the ravens. You love them and they love you! That's a beautiful thing! The negative comment makers don't understand human, animal bonding! I named my new little six month old, all black female cat Raven!

You just keep doing what you're doing because you're not doing anything wrong. I always enjoy your videos and the commentary is perfect, because it's real. Anyone that doesn't understand your emotional attachment obviously hasn't watched (m)any of your past videos. Best Wishes to Arthur & Morrigan and of course, To You.

Hey! Just wanted to say your videos are a big part of my youtube experience. I don't really comment or post, but thanks for what you do. I hope your channel continues to grow. Please do not take this criticism seriously. You are a wonderful person.

For me your relation to the ravens was always clear to see from the videos. I even mentioned how I liked you trying not to get too close with any of the animals you are filming. This always has been one of the reasons I like your videos. You obviously always keep your distance and respect the private space of your "models".
Giving animals one encounters regularly names, especially wildlife that is featuring in documentaries over a longer period of time, is quite common. It helps to identify individual members of a group for example. This is completely normal and does not in any way reflect the relationship that the two species have.
And when one of the two or both species trust each other as far as taking or providing food, then this is friendly behaviour and therefor justifies the term Friend to be used on either side. I am sure corvids have a word for it.
So people commenting "negatively" in the manner you described is mostly people trying to tell the world that they "know something". This also is a normal behaviour... unfortunately. So it is good to clarify but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Don’t listen to the haters, love the videos and you. They just hate that you are happy and have to try and bring you down. Just block the haters, life is too short. And hey, don’t explain yourself to anyone. Tell them to piss off! Love those ravens and it makes my day to live Vicariously through you. Your a good kind soul.

I considered leaving a vile comment because you're pretty much begging for it with a title like that, but you seem like a nice person and I don't wanna ruin your day.
    Cool birds, lady.

I made friends once with a dove in the city I lived in. We got very close so one day I asked her of she wanted to visit me at home. We agreed to have tea the next day. I was waiting a home the next day but no one came. I waited a few days longer and suddenly there was a knock at the door. I opened and there was the dove, greeting me happily.
"Where were you?" I asked, "I have been waiting three days!"
"Well", she said, "The weather was so nice so I though I'd walk".
      That's birds for you....

I'm sure you delete and block those stupid, rude people. The way I see it-it's your channel. I and your other subscribers are guests. So are the casual viewers and all of the "experts". Those that want to tell you how to run your channel and run your life. You are providing your own perspective in your life that you are passionate about over many channels. I've been subbed for a while. I've never seen you hurt an animal or disturb any of the animals you show. People are jealous because they will never be able to do what you do. So they will knit-pick on anything they can. That's just pathetic. They are your channels and you run them your way-period. Those that don't like it can move on. I'm sure a lot of your other subs will agree with me. Keep doing what you do-how you do! Much love and respect to ya hon!

Some people won`t like my opinion: I`m sure most people call their pets their friends. A dog is a humans best friend and so on... well, the dog was domesticated and bred for 15000 years to be a friend of humans. He also thinks about getting food from you all the time. People own birds, rabbits and so on and put them into cages. They don`t have a choice if they want to be their humans friends. They are owned, they aren`t free, they have no choice. They are humans friends because they get nice food, get cared for and don`t know a life in freedom. But people call them their friends. I don`t mean to sound harsh. I have pets as well. And I`m sure they think about food all the time when they look at me. I`m not sure if they would call me friend or if they just see me as a "nice prison guard" (well, they don`t really know they are in prison but if they knew how big the world outside is and how much life they are missing...)
In fact some of the crows that I feed show a closer bond to me than my own pets. I know that most of them certainly see me as food source. But there are some individuals that decided to form a stronger bond with me. It`s more than just food but yes, if I was laying dead in the forest my crows might probably start to eat me. But I`ve heard about dog owners getting eaten by their dog as well when they died...
I understand why people say that you`re a food source but I know it`s much more than that alone. Everyone that has a bond like that will understand. Don`t let that ruin your day. I think the connection that you have with your ravens in the wild is wonderful!

It's a symbiotic relationship. I don't believe a dog or cat just cares for the provision of food; dogs especially show some affection, even cats.
But yes, if you died, your cat, dog, or corvid would probably try to eat you eventually.
Generally: corvids rule. Loads of people feed garden birds or whatever so it's not an issue really. Humans have irreversibly destroyed most wildlife to have ever existed, I don't think bonding with a raven and feeling bad seeing it attacked is bad.
Who wants to see any animal killed? It's fucking awful.

      @corvusaeternus Місяць тому +4

@@TheAlmightyAss I don`t mean this in a mean way. I do believe you can have an intense friendship with your dog/cat/pet in general. But there also food plays a big role. When you get a puppy and care for it give it food he will love you because you cared for him. Food = care = friend.

mammal and avians are more than just their instincts for food and safety, they are intelligent beings, capable of forming bonds with other species, not just humans. Corvids like ravens are a great example of this, they are very intelligent birds and are able to form relationships with humans that are more than just superficial; they will sometimes leave you gifts like stones or random shiny objects if you gain their trust, and its not just humans, ravens and wolves have been seen in a similar dynamic, where during childhood the wolf pup will play with ravens, and as they grow up the ravens will help the wolves out by locating potential prey, and in return the wolves let the ravens join them to eat a meal they otherwise would not have been able to acquire. So animals are a lot more emotionally intelligent than we give them credit for, and they can form actual friendships with humans.

Arthur did give me a gift back in 2019.
A little piece of bone from a dead animal.
At the time I didn't realise it was a gift so pulled a face at it and walked away.
I don't think he appreciated me being so ungrateful because he's not given me anything else since.
I do have photos of the gift somewhere.
