  • Our awesome patient, Sarah, graciously shares her experience with neurological symptoms after covid and the realization that she had an underlying neck instability issue that became more symptomatic after covid. She talks before and after one Prolotherapy treatment to her neck, a Chiropractic adjustment, and the beginning of cervical curve correction therapy. We thank Sarah very much for sharing her experience with us and those on UA-cam and wish her all the best in continued healing!

      I have started seeing 2 PTs. One works on my lymphatic system and she is doing lymph drainage primarily of my face and neck, and the second PT is a Cranial Sacral therapist who is manipulating my face (from an injury to my nose) and my neck. I'm not sure what they are doing, but is clearing my brain fog and all of the problems that you list. I can't get to see Dr Hauser and his team, but this is coming very close to healing and getting me back to normal. Wishing you the very best on getting you healthy!!

      This is exactly my experience after Covid (March 2020) I had this for two years, now I am having good results seeing an atlas specific chiropractor for a series of adjustments, and I was able to get prolotherapy injections in my neck from my naturopathic Doctor . I am feeling a lot better -there is hope! and I am also working on curve correction of my neck.

    I have to remember to tell my story in comments here. 4 times with covid. First time, evolving neurological manifestations over 16 months of severe illness. All Neuro/vascular. No doctors helped me. Neck turns into spaghetti. Right limbs go limp. I feel the virus enter AND travel through my debilitated spine, like poison. I have muscle spasms as my new normal. Vagus nerve reset began saving me. Sound therapy created by an neuroacoustic doc in CA as well. There’s a lot to share and I figured out all of my stuff little by little and I’m so pleased to see someone linking cervivsl instability because it became obvious to me that covid keeps entering my spine due to severe degeneration there. More to share. It’s 3am :)

    I've had different neurological symptoms since vaccine and again with covid. Now I realised that there is a muscle in my back, when it spasms I get dizziness and brain fog and eye focus problems. And when it relaxes (i feel a painful pull) then all symptoms vanish instantaniously.
    I'm sure I have neck issues too.

Also, let's not forget the Febrile and debilitating viral infection that might weaken more and adds more to the pathology of ligaments in the neck

Cognitive decline, memory deficits, aura, bouncing and other visual changes, sudden sleepiness, extreme fatigue following episodes that usually happen daily. I had similar problems neurologically right after Covid (Omicron BA.5). I wish I had found this then! I tested positive Sept. 14 and the terrible neuro issues started around 5 days later. I felt like I was in a frightening tunnel, I couldn't interact with anyone due to high anxiety. I had digestive issues and problems swallowing pills. I tried Yoga Nidra (which helped), very strict, healthy diet-no sugar, alcohol, gluten or lactose! It never occurred to me that my neck posture could exacerbate all my issues! The cold-like symptoms caused me to raise my head while I slept, which obviously caused kinking of my vagus nerves!. I had bad insomnia and would wake up forgetting how to sleep or even breathe. It was so terrible. I exercise and do yoga every day, so I am sure that helped me to recover. I am so much better, but I still have a low HRV (around 35-40) so anxiety can still creep in after 7 weeks.I will change my neck position and raise my computer. Thank you!

      As a matter of fact, I had trigeminal neuralgia symptoms that were debilitating, until I discovered that sleeping on my side, with my head turned on my pillow, was causing a compression, and when I started sleeping on my back, the symptoms all stopped after 6 months.

      I found lowering the seat comforts better than raising the computer, because the angle it creates in hip -joint is less the 90 degree. This comforts the lower back as well. On ordinary the angle in hip area is around 90 degree.

    I would assume her covid symptoms originated from the inner ear and sinuses. Cranial pressure would have required a trip to the ER. I'm glad she received resolution of her symptoms. If there are issues lower in the spine, it can travel all the way up to your neck as the inflamed muscles spasm and pull your vertebrae out of wack.

    • @tizzyfit7287
      @tizzyfit7287 2 роки тому +1

      Her issue with the eye tracking is called nystagmus which is also an issue of the inner ear. If you get an infection in the ear or sinuses like covid which is a viral infection, it can damage the nerves. Other possibilities are auto immune disease or an issue with the vagus nerve. I hope to one day try prolotherapy as I have a damaged vagus nerve on the right side. Deviated uvula and eustachian tube dysfunction.
