Cant believe he hasn't gotten a springbok call up, he can play inside centre, outside centre and wing, and by far the best all-round skilled based player in South Africa.
I always knew that Werner was good but I've now seen his work rate and realised that he's hard as nails. I had a mma friend whom i asked one day about getting punched everyday. He told me that he relished the pain. Werner plays hard and is responsible for helping other players score tries. And his passion for his team is huge. What a boytjie. Sharks lost a good player.
Tragic how the Blitzbokke Super Stars seems te get too big for their boots and reckon they are automatically 15 man super stars too. ▪️Kok, Senatla, Ruan Nel Speckman etc all fell into obscurity playing average club/Provincial rugby while forfeiting stellar reputation in 7's. ▪️They could have been the "Tiger Woods and Usain Bolts" of the sevens rugby world. ▪️Kwagga Smith is the only one that became a regular member of the Springbok squad, although not a first choice. ▪️Cheslin Kolbe and Kurt Lee Arends are brilliant exceptions
Unfair comment. Sevens doesn't pay well, especially in South Africa. Also, it requires major sacrifices from players - lots of travelling, even lower pay during the long off-season, fatigue, etc. Transitioning to 15s is a very sensible choice. To imply that they feel entitled when they transition to 15s (are "too big for their boots") is dubious. There is no evidence to suggest that the are arrogant from their squad members. In fact, most of their peers highlight the hard work and humility of 7s players. Similarly, all of the players you mention are well known for their industry on match days. Why have many of them been relatively unsuccessful in transitioning to 15s then? Well the premise of your comment is debatable. Despite not playing for 15s sides for many years, they are playing for South Africa's top franchises. There's no shame in not being a Springbok! Moreover, I think many of the 7s guys are criminally under-rated because of their 7s background. Many people unfairly stereotype 7s players as being too small, too unspecialised, too inexperienced. Kolbe and Kwagga are perfect examples. Both of them were overlooked by coaches for a long time because of apparent subconscious prejudice against 7s players.
Absolutely a machine. He's the auto-Kok, the Kokinator.
Comment of the day 😂👏
Hahaha I came to say Werner is more terminator than man, but you've summed it up perfectly here

And Rassie loves work rate.
One of my favorite players for sure, always gives everything he has in every game he plays 👍🏻
What a player and absolute gentleman!!
Very underrated. His a absolute workhorse
The energy levels are beyond, what a machine
He’s so intense, gives 120% in everything he does!!
That's a real monster Kok
He’s an animal!
Such a brilliant rugby player. Maximum respect!
I mean every 7's player who came to 15 men afterwards always has the highest workrate
Subscribe or Werner will come after you 😉
Mr. Reliable.
Man doesn't stop!
Werner Kok is a very good player and a fantastic person
Watching the Kok highlights also made me realise how damn good Fassi is!

We love him in Ireland, not just Ulster. Gives 100% and a real character, real fan favorite.
@Camcolito gr8 to hear he is loved in Ireland. Us 🇿🇦 love to come and play in your competitions. They are always treated so well.
I love his playstyle. He might wear 14, but he plays like a 7.
Wish he was still at the Sharks
He is such a smart ball player how is he not in the Boks?
Literally a backline version of Kwagga Smith. You'll be hard-pressed to find a player with higher workrate.
A very good analogy
Kok 19 wit da switch
Petition for Werner Kok to be put on Springbok wing. Rassie!!!!waars jy
A great example of the ridiculous depth in SA rugby.
Why was he never in the bok squad
🦈
If you want know how fast African people are, Werner is a good example.
...does not make sense, but thanks for your comment.
Hasn’t played a decent match in a while, catastrophic in defense, no wonder he couldn’t make it in a real championship like top 14

Lol the entire 7s world is obscurity, it's like mini-golf.
Get a haircut Wena Kok 😂
He can't, he derives his strength from his luscious locks.
Look what happened to Samson when he got a haircut!
He should be a BOK! Just as good as Arendse or Kolbe and in ways better when it comes to defence and rucks.
