Good to be updated with the Asian shops in Dallas. I left North Dallas 25 yrs ago, so a lot has changed. Keep your videos going. U have some very cool ideas.
Finally another one yes!!
🤣 i was So ready for you to upload again.
This area used to be and is actually still know as Koreatown but it goes by many names now like Little Seoul or Old Koreatown.
The new Koreatown in Carrollton has better positioned locations tho.
Hopefully you can do a video on Little Saigon area in Garland..Alot of good food in that area
Might rename this video to "Old Koreatown". I've been getting suggestions from other videos about Little Saigon, so I will check it out probably mid winter after some other car reviews!
@@EdwardInTX yes definitely.
Remember when old Koreatown Had alot more restaurants..but there still is quite a chunk of Buisness there.
I also remember when DFW Chinatown area used to take up half of Downtown Richardson.. But most of them moved on out to Plano
And yes give Little Saigon a try it's very interesting.
Glad you where able to make it out to Old Koreatown. I will say, that the area is actually pretty popular, mainly because a lot of the older and most popular Korean Restaurants in Dallas are located there (like Koryo Kalbi and No.1+ Chicken), and the fact that this could be considered the center of the Korean community (The DFW Korean community center and News Korea being located here).
I did read that Hmart is planning to build a new store in Royal ln, aswell as a mini mall to go along side it. In addition, I’m already seeing new restaurants and businesses opening up in the area, and even older establishments opening additional branches around the area.
It will be exciting to see what the future holds for Old Koreatown.
This is really good to know. I’m also glad to see one part undergo renovations. I definitely need to come back and try Koryo Kalbi
Another great video!!
I remember when this area was known as the official Koreatown of Dallas then the one in Carrollton opened an alot of businesses moved out there..but I still notice that this area still as quite alot of business..
May I recommend some other places as well like "Little Asia" in Plano along Coit road?
And Little Saigon Area in Garland along Jupiter and Arapaho
Jupiter and Walnut
Walnut and Plano
Great video again Edward!
I was talking about this with a co-worker as well. That Carrollton area really is big now, and the fact that they can keep all the businesses together contributes greatly to its success. I'll get to those places soon.
Thanks for the suggestions! I just filmed the one in Frisco off Preston and Mitsuwa in East Plano off Legacy.
@@EdwardInTX so can't wait for those
Hey Ed, if possible can you look into doing a new series of videos about where are the best places to live around Dallas Texas for Young Asian professionals (mid to late 20s). Thanks.
Great point. Any specific criteria you’re looking for in potential places?
@@EdwardInTX Thanks for responding so fast!
From most important to nice to haves:
1. Safe area
2. close to Asian community, restaurants, supermarkets
3. 2 bedroom 2 bath ideally, but 1 bedroom 1 bath is fine.
4. has AC (heard it gets real hot in summer)
5. preferred under $1800, but can go up to $2200 a month for rent. (if you think it'll be better to buy, please give your opinion on where and what you can get for money)
6. near the city, but outside suburbs where its more quiet.
7. private garage or covered garage
Again thanks :)
@@pfguo87 Cool, I'll give it some thought. Do you work in Downtown? Irving? Plano?
@@EdwardInTX Currently not in TX area, but I have been getting offers in all areas you mentioned. So I'm just looking into things in advance before I pull the trigger. So if you have opinion on where is best to live please let me know. BTW Happy Holidays.
@@pfguo87 Look at Lewisville and Irving (Valley Ranch/Las Colinas). 13 min from H Mart Carrollton. Close enough to the action. Very safe. Places like this: www.zillow.com/homedetails/4027-Rome-Ct-4027-Irving-TX-75038/2081648477_zpid/
It's been a long time Tim since I've bee. Through the Old Koreatown area ( aka Asian Trade district)
From what I see it looks as if alot of business have left for the one in Carrollton.
Luckily there's alot of traffic in that area.
Can you do a Qantas Flight review from DFW-sydney?
Ik it can be expensive flight, and you need a reason to but it'll still be nice 😅
I was surprised because I visited Old Koreatown in 2017, and now again this month. Looks different for sure over 2 years. I have been trying to land a seat on that Qantas flight. I agree it is expensive, so I have been looking for a reason to get myself out there and will post once I get it!
Love Asian food!.😘😋👍
Awesome!!!

is it safe around the asian trade district?
to visit or live?
@@EdwardInTX to live
@@shoaibalichaudhary5675 I wouldn't do it. I'd live on Carrollton north of PGBT or Irving west of PGBT.
