  • WAVY NAVY - on the Commodore 64. Published by Sirius Software in 1983. It's Space Invaders at Sea !!!
As usual, it's not about perfect game play, but easing stress, having some fun and seeing what the game would have felt like on your first or second go.

Glad you enjoyed that. One of my favourites!

Was a great recommendation Steve! I really liked this one. Using the waves as a shield was a genius idea. Love games that don’t go for a straight copy.

Boatswain is pronounced Bosun, it's the person in charge of maintenance on a ship. No matter, this is a great little game!

Ah… of course. Think I secretly knew that. We will work together to ensure nobody finds out my error.

A rather decent take on the space invaders -genre, this, and from 1983 to boot! Early days for the Commodore. Nice one. I vaguely remember playing this as a kid and liking it.

Thanks for reminding me to give this game a try. Still totally worth playing. The waves add an interesting twist to the Space Invaders formula.

Now this is a truly a fun game, with great graphics when you take out the enemies ( not to dinner), makes me think of the 4th of July but at sea. All of a sudden, I want either BBQ or Hotdogs 😂.

I absolutely loved watching you play this Wavy Navy game Nick. Thank goodness no one got seasick during the game!! Some great explosion sound FX, and the shooting of your ship too. However, it certainly gets really tough going during later levels. Best to keep shooting at those enemy ships i think. Take them all out baby, but not to dinner. 😅
What shall we do to the drunken sailor, tie him up to snooker player Dennis Taylor, then blow his ears out with a loud inhaler early in the morning. Hilarious lyrics!! 🤣🤣
    Wyn 👍

Thanks Wyn! There were pretty high waves there! Glad no sharks god involved 🦈 👀👍 👾👾👾
Definitely don’t take the,m out to dinner… especially sharks, they order everything on the menu! And Dennis Taylor also. 🤣🤣👍

Only heard the word Boatswain in a production of The Tempest…love Shakespeare but this being set on an island throughout, makes it a bit drab
