Normally I would just skip this sort of OVA for being pointless fanservice. But for Subaru this isn't just fanservice, this is overdue PTSD therapy.
It also gives Emilia a good chance to interact with people (something I was happy to see them explore in Frozen Bond, which I think is treated along with Memory Snow as canon in the LN)
From what I know both Frozen Bonds and Memory snow are canon mini arcs in the LN. For example we get more info on the magic system in memory snow.
Okay so I know this is kinda of a duh question, but should I read any chapters in the LN to be caught up to Season 2 or will season 1 and the OVA's do?
@@thechosenone8332 S2 picks up right where S1 left. The director's cut of S1 didn't (really) add anything new.
I'd even say that this OVA (Memory snow) is pretty pointless and doesn't add anything, except for some fan service.
The other OVA (Frozen Bonds) does give some backstory to Emilia and Puck. It's also connected to this OVA, but I don't think you need to see this one to be able to enjoy the other.

@@eaglegosuperskarmor And here i am still waiting for Isekai Quartet (mind you, it has a confirmed third season) to do the at this point expected obligatory joke of "having Emilia and Megumin swap costumes and imitate each oher".
I mean, if it airs on a Fall season, it could do what it did for valentine's day and have them swap outfits as their "halloween costume" (with the additional joke of Puck disguising himself as Chomosuke and viceversa).
Also bonus points if other characters are dressed like other characters they share seiyuu with (example, Subaru dressed as something similar to Senku from Dr. Stone)

If a person is frozen for any period of time. And gets no cognotive changes or physical changes. They are still the age they originally froze at. Just because shes 115 years old. Does not make him/her legal. For her. S/hes always been 15. She thinks shes 15. And its wrong to push anything on him/her that a normal 15 year wouldnt or shouldnt have to deak with.

Whether youre on Team Emilia or Team Rem, Im sure we can all unite this time and agree on the fact that everyone's heart exploded from the wholesomeness and cuteness of this scene between drunk Emilia and Rem (Especially those cuddles at the end)

I love subaru and Rams relationship, she's like his older sister and whenever they have their little moments they agree on something thats usually one of the best parts of a given chapter and im glad it got adapted over so well in the anime
As soon as he saved Rem, he was family forever for Ram. When he helped make certain changes in Arc 4, she respected him. When she saw he was trying to save Rem even though she had lost her memories of her, her appreciation deepened. Overall, she's pretty damned fond of Barasu, but that doesn't mean she is going to let him off the hook for more than three seconds at a time.
Ram is great. She really becomes like the whole group's big sister and her dynamic with Subaru is awesome. I love that she never becomes a token harem character for the main protagonist, even in the web novels.
Subaru's best relationships are the ones that aren't romantic. Beatrice, Ram, Otto, and Julius all have fantastic synergies with him, and and his kindness and selflessness really shows through when he interacts with them, because there's nothing in it for him
