It felt like a good time to make an updated video to cover all the titles that have come out
since I made my last roundup video which covered Numbers #1 - #26

This new video runs in the reverse order, counting down from the 36th title back to the 1st
I forgot to mention in the video but all titles since #27 have been dual region ( A + B)
And should all still be available in the US as well as here in the UK

Hi! Thank you for this video! I have a few films in this collection and will have good fun tracking down the remaining 25 in the collection! I was lucky enough to find The Vengeful Beauty and Human Goddess (both with slips and booklets) for £8 each in my loca HMV yesterday! On to the second hand market for the rest of the back catalogue I imagine though!
Happy Hunting! unlike the Criterion or Masters of Cinema collection, this is a far more manageable number of titles to be able to track them all down/1 Vengeful Beauty is a steal at £8! especially with the slip and booklet!

Awesome 88 Shaw Brothers collection. I only collect 88 Shaw Brothers titles that are playable to my Blu-ray player however. Hopefully someday 88 Films will keep releasing Shaw Brothers classic films in the future.
A Multi Region Bluray player is a must Carman! But yes indeed, hoping 88 keep on going
I paid $35 aftermarket to get Legendary Weapons of China region A with the slipcover. I watched a trailer and the action looks amazing. I'm a slipcover nut so it was worth the extra. Such beautiful art too.

I've got 23/36 every martial arts one except killer constable because It's incredibly hard to find and one armed swrodsman because I managed to get it for £15 off of ebay. I'm slowly buying the non martial arts ones, so far got 5.

Nice 88 films collection Dragon I wish they would re release some of these earlier 88 releases with KFB artwork and new bonus features but that would cause double dipping for people that have the complete collection lol but for me it would be great since I only have like 10 of these and I really want 5 elements ninja and flying guillotine and house of traps and so many more lol.
Excellent video! The only one I’m missing is FIVE ELEMENT NINJAS, but at least I do have the Tokyo Shock Blu. I also have the rare original exclusive INFRAMAN release from 88’s website with the “Superman” slipcover and the liner notes booklet. And like you, I have the slipcover versions from COME DRINK WITH ME on up. Earlier than that I’m missing all slips except for INFRAMAN, but I do have booklets for HEX, HOUSE OF TRAPS, SEEDING OF A GHOST, THE MIGHTY PEKING MAN, KILLER CONSTABLE, and THE FLYING GUILLOTINE. 😎
Thanks mate! I'll keep an eye out for Five Element NInjas, I gave away a copy a while back on the channel, and tend to pick it up anytime I come across it, so will keep my eyes peeled for you! I can live without the earlier slips for how insane the prices are for secondhand copies with them. Thankfully have all the Kung Fu Bob slips

Nice one Dragon. Wish I had started collecting these earlier. Was just an occasional collector until recently, and am missing nos. 5, 7, 8, 10 and 13, plus 28 and 29 which should be easy to get for a while, it’s just trying to get the early ones that’s a pain!

I've taken your advice and had a look a spine number 27 onwards. I had to order all of them as there was an extremely good deal with amazon prime day deals yesterday.

@@TheFanaticalDragonI had a 50 or 60 martial arts movie set years ago on DVD, It had many old titles like Shaolin vs Lama and many others, I was very young at the time so I don't remember all the titles so well but it wasn't a very nice set. (Versions of the movies were heavily cut which annoyed me, but I get get to watch a lot of interesting movies which 2 of the were also on the Eureka vengeance boxset. I got rid of the set as it was very basic (poor presentation, heavily cut) and it took up a lot of space.

I love Shaw Brothers movies and have around 30 odd DVDs. The ones you show also have the Chinese track on them, right?
Yep, all have Chinese audio and most also have the English dubs as well.
I currently have 30 of the 36, and will probably have to go secondhand for the last 6. Did you have to get any of yours through ebay etc?
I think one or two of the horror ones I got from CEX but other than those mostly from 88 themselves and from Fopp when they first came out. You’ll get there mate!
Hi I was wondering about golden harvest are they also being released like the shaw bros blue ray because i sure do remember alot of beautiful Golden harvest movies like the Larry Lee movies manderin magician polly shang Kwan Angela mao,back ally princess , nora maio the hurricane any of these kung fu movies being released like the shaw bros movies. Man I really enjoy golden harvest movies. Also i want to thank you for all the info you bring about eastern heroes magazine especially about bruce Lee I always look forward to your channel thank you.
Hi Larry, most of Golden Harvest’s archives were bought up by Fortune Star and they’ve been steadily going through the big heavy hitter movies remastering them, it’s those remasters that have allowed Eureka to dive into Sammo Hung ( and soon Angela Mao’s) back catalogue of films and start putting out decent editions here in the U.K.. It’s worth checking Panorama in HK as they have lots of Hk movies that have yet to get U.K. or US releases yet. Usually all with English subs and they ship internationally :) happy hunting!

Only 1, mighty Peking man is in Shawscope volume 1
Do all these films have special editions and what's the difference.
The extras vary from film to film, I cover that in the video for each title. There aren’t multiple versions of any of the Shaw’s titles 88 put out so no special editions as such.
Will these play on a ps5?
Yes and no, depends on if you have a U.K. or US model, spines 1-26 are all region B locked (U.K.) spines 27-36 were released as dual region so will work if you buy them locally
Any news on if they are continuing this collection?
Not so far, the 36th title in the series hasn’t officially released yet, but hopefully so.
