Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

An Onyx Cam must happen! He is extremely entertaining plus the conversations with Nate 1.0 must be hilarious!!! How is Jim, we miss him! Praying
Jim is doing well! He claims he wants to try running the grain cart this week!
@@MillennialFarmer Glad to hear Jim’s doing well. Hopefully he’s back soon.
@@MillennialFarmerglad he is feeling better
Must be getting bored sitting around the house! It might be good for him if he is up to it. @@MillennialFarmer
Lovely
A boy out working the fields with his Grandpa, those are the memories he will never forget!
Yes, I agree it is just work. But I also think that he is a pretty special worker. He always seems ready to do whatever his family needs, and that is not like a lot of kids these days.@@MrHurricaneFloyd
Hopefully gramps is still around.@@MrHurricaneFloyd
Just the beauty of a family farm
It’s amazing watching three generations working a family farm together. Onyx, we need to hear your thoughts on this.
He's not much for talking I guess. 🤣🤣
Zack please tell Jim we miss him and hope he has a speedy recovery
Zach isn’t it the greatest feeling when you can put your son in a tractor and know he is going to do a awesome job?! I know when it happened for me 2 years ago I was so proud I don’t think my smile could have gotten any bigger!
Onyx, please trust your confidence. Tell us what you're doing even if it's doing itself. We really enjoy seeing you doing work like a man. A farmer's son. Let's go!
And what ever you record can be edited.
Onyx you did great, everyone would love an Onyx cam for harvest!
Your saying hello to the kitties and cats is always appreciated
Always a good start of the day for him and me, kittens put a smile on my face ;)
Absolutely love seeing your boy running the big machines it’s awesome bud
A 30% difference in yield depending on the direction you pick is stunning. I never would have guessed it was that bad from the video.
Any agricultural crop including grapes is like that some years we get a lot of grapes and make more wine other years we lose a lot of grapes and get low yields, it sucks when they are down cause we lose revenue on a 1x a year harvest.
And Also we be keeping Jim in prayer hope he’s doing better.
The middle finger was mint! Best way to grow up is to be a farmer who is outstanding in his field
Where close to home when it means going home and quitting early. We’re far from home when it means working because there’s rain coming.
Too funny Zach! When you were up on the grain leg and said you could see Canada, I could see you too up there! 😂
Watching three generations working harmoniously on a family farm is nothing short of inspiring. The synergy between experience, wisdom, and youthful energy creates a mesmerizing sight. Onyx, we are eagerly waiting to hear your thoughts on this beautiful testament to the legacy of agriculture. Share with us your insights!
Yes on the Ox cam.
High-definition Backup camera for the grain cart. 12:32 😊
Hi to Millennial Farmer 🌹🌹 keep warm 🎂🍰🍰☕☕✌️☮️♥️♥️💌
I do understand that you are busy but wish you did more videos. Love your videos. Great job. Have a safe harvest.
I was waving from up in Canada. I hope you were able to see me!
Wouldn't be a normal day without a break down. At least there was no further damage. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Harvesting down corn is definitely frustrating!!!
I think I could see you Zach from San Diego - once you got to the top MAN, your legs must have been pumping once you got to the top !! Whew !!
The "shenanigans"....love it!
Yes sir Zach I’m on board with having an Onyx cam need to see how well he runs the grain cart job and possibly when he runs combine keep up the great work you guy are great farmers wish I lived on a farm.
Your family are the est love watching all your videos I miss farming you bring g alot of good memories back for me best rewarding profession ❤️ love it
If anyone could provide the info as to what video to watch that explains the story of the baseball at the top of the grain bins junction, this viewer would appreciate it. Give the boy a camera and see what happens, I am down for the info he would provide. Lookimg forward to seeing Jim back in action. Thanks Zack and Mrs MNFarmer for your filming and editing. Looking forward to the next edition.
They have exhaust vent systems for 🚒 stations, Diesel truck inside. 19:14
Onyx I was the same way, just start with short statements clips of 5-10 seconds then build up from there you got this man
I really enjoy your videos. It's been this way a long time, my little female pug hears that rattlesnake intro and goes berserk. She watches your videos with intensity from beginning to end as I do. She has the exact same bizarre reaction when Beth from Dog The Bounty Hunter is on the screen. You got skills!
He's got 2 dogs too. Some dogs love watching TV just for dog content. It's funny when they try to talk at the screen too 🤣🤣
Love the Chore gloves Grandpa/dad is wearing. Reminds me of my grandpa wearing them all the time on the farm.
Hey Zach! So far I’ve watched 1:35 of this episode and as an Agricultural Millwright who works on a crew that assembles, installs and maintains grain legs and other grain moving equipment…. I’d recommend some automatic greasers or grease cups for the top of your leg, also to check the oil level and clarity in your gearbox!
Can you elaborate on the grease cups?
Grease cups yes. Auto lubes no. Auto lubes fail way too much. Then when the failure is discovered the damage is already done.
@@leemarchant7191 they are automatic grease dispensers you can install on a large bearing such as the ones on the top of his leg. They slowly feed the bearing grease over time. They basically make it so the top is always getting grease and you never have to go grease it during season, just change them out once a year
Could you just run some grease line all the way down to the bottom of the leg? Or can a grease pump not push grease that far down a line?
@@dangerrangerlstc even if they could it's worth the inspection of the bearings / belts / etc.
All the best Zach and Family, nice to see Onyx out in the field.
We all need an Onyx Cam. You’ll be great, don’t worry about how you sound on camera!
People perceive they sound weird but they don’t.
I'm envious of your Thunder trailer. Had been thinking about what I'd want on one not too long ago and wondering if it would all fit. Then your new one rolls in and I have my answer! Given the state of education in this country, I think it would be great for Onyx to jump in and tell people his age what his prospective is on farming.
Really great video Zach.. Enjoyed watching 3 generations working together. Amazing family. Thank you guys
Make All Laps Clockwise 🎉. Keep turning Left.😊 9:50
Ah gotta love some DP Action! Thunderrrrrr
Onyx, you can do it! Maybe you and Grandpa Nate both have a Cam? YEAH, that would be AWESOME!😂😂😂
“Yellow gloves with red cuffs” must be nice to be able to run pretty equipment like that lol
All you need is a 15/16 socket and Wrench. Loosing all the tension all the way off put the chain on then put the wrench on the jam nut and run it back up.If your having trouble getting the chain on the front sprocket take the sprocket off put it in the chain and then back through the slide bolt.Have rebuilt a bunch of those rows
THUNDERRRRRR!!! All together now!!!
A Onyx Cam sounds awesome love to see him runing big machinery
Just keep giving Onyx the camera and eventually he will get use to it. He’s a great kid and a hard worker. Everyone should be as lucky to have a son like him. Not to short change the young lady’s and your wife, who works hard behind the scenes and in the fields as well. Zack you are a blessed man.
As I was watching this video I was thinking how we don't get to see what goes on in the field as much when you are at the Ben site I think an onyx cam for harvest is a great idea
Nice Haircut...rare during harvest in past years...gettin fancy.
Onyx, you are great on camera, go for it and don't worry about it. Just be you.
Definitely need an onyx cam. Reminds me of my son 4 years ago. Can’t wait to see him come into his own personality. Doing a great job Dad.
Good backup job Zack even with millions people watching!
Onyx cam yes please! Maybe even a Nate cam if he can be convinced to carry one too!
I like your dads voice, he is calming. I am sure he can use some working words but he seems like a good father and grandfather to work with.
Kiaora from New Zealand. What size areas do you have in each crop? Very impressive operation…great seeing generations working together so comfortably. Keep up the good content 👍👍
in mid seventys after hurricane here near nc coast our corn was down so bad we had harvest with bean header.
Backing up one handed with a trailer while carrying on a conversation! Show off!
The Onyx cam and the girls' cam from last year have a million views sounds like no brainer. 😂
Okay, those are legit back up skills. Seriously.
Zach I enjoy the videos like always. The part of Mississippi I'm in is not much farming so I enjoy our vids.
Onyx cam yes and a dad and Jim cam are also a must in my opinion
I was working with my grandpa, cutting asparagrass, before school. I was late for school because I had to help him find his false teeth which he lost from his vest pocket. Best excuse ever.
Grandfather, Dad, and son ......Perfect 😊
4:18 - Nice popcorn maker.
You know we don't have to have a reason to make fun of your driving skills or anything else as far as that. LOL
Awesome video Zach. 🚜🚜🚜
Ontx is a great kid, and your dad is pretty awesome too. An "Onyx-cam" or even just a go-pro up in the corner of each cab, would be an excellent idea to capture those cool or unintentionally hilarious moments and a good source of additional content.
Great kids do not give their father a finger even in jest!
You and your dad make a great team-so much affection and respect!
Onyx need a cam.
Extra fuel also when harvesting only one way.
Hope the good weather is heading your way
Nice to see3 generations working together.👍❤️🇨🇦
Watched you fixing that gathering chain. All I can say is Gearwrench 36" Flex head prybar. Your welcome😂
I would like an update from Onyx on his hunting expectations for the year.
I would love it if any of them took a camera out deer hunting. Could create a whole new channel
@@4wheelliving132I like this idea for our 2nd @betweentherows channel
Thanks
Onyx 📷 is a must. Hay Onyx, you did awesome 👌 maybe next time you could do a POV head mount. Just remember that you have at least one that has absolute faith in you. You could talk about your own thoughts about working with your grandpa and your father on the farm. No matter what, I am right here in your corner. Hope you live stream more of your video gaming racing.
USE THE GRAIN HEAD ON THE DOWN CORN AND GO SLOW. ONE LONELY FARMER DID ONE YEAR AND IT WORKD
I saw the comment reply on Brett’s ! If Jim comes back you’ll have almost a full crew!
Always remember, it's not the fall that kills ya! It's the sudden stop at the end LOL!
Motors need Special Grease!! 2:00 leave the grease gun in a box at top of leg with special grease. 3:01
Wicked 3 point turn!
Working with your grandpa and your dad is very good for a young man. Maybe you won't have as many problems with the rest of the field. keep up the good work.
I thank that a good idea !
I remember why that baseball is up on the grain leg!! Yes, we need an Onyx Cam!!
Onyx, confidence is the key! If girls see you working, talking about what your doing, how much you picked up from your grandpa, them girls will fall for you!
Good Job Onyx, as a farm kid myself I think it would definitely be cool if you got an Onyx Cam.
Onyx Cam would be great :) We need it !!
An Onyx cam sounds like a great idea. Better luck tomorrow!
I love it! Three generations of American Farmers working to feed this nation and the world. And yes, America Farmer should be capitalized.
Give onyx a camera and a charger. Make him turn in his memory card every video and just watch him get better over time!
I agree!!
Hey Zach the neighbor isn't running beans cause he is waiting for you to go first so he can know they are ready lol
Thanks for sharing
Thank you
as someone that has watched onyx grow from a tiny kind to a young man that's running family farm equipment. keep giving him more responsibility that pushes his limits. but keep doing whatever u do off cam as a good dad that keeps them kids in line. love the content man.
Hey Zach please tell Jim i hope he is doing well
He's probably reading the comments!
An Onyx cam would be best
Hey Onyx! Some words from Sweden here. Get a cam and do your thing/own channel. You can get more subs than your dad. Your mom will help you edit for sure. You are a good boy and I want to see more. Have the best! 🤗
Hi Zach, that full moon, it’s called the Harvest Moon. In the later days farmers used the light of that moon (the nearest full moon to the autumn equinox) to work late into the night, helping them to bring the crops from the fields.
P.S.: The first shy “thunder” because of the presence of your dad, just cracked me off. 😂
Missing Jim, hope he's doing well. An Onyx cam is a must.
Take little kitties to train with Catdog. (Ray) Put box with grease gun on top of leg. 1:39
We need onyx cam!!🎉
The step's a dosie....after that it's all downhill!
yes zach i vote for a *anex*-cam in the tractor or what ever he drives for the moment...
In my opinion it may be time to invest in a corn reel to help with the down corn. It won't get everything but it sure would help the corn feed in.
0:31 Don't forget the battery for your grease gun 🙈🤣
"Leaded or unleaded?", Both She goes both ways! LOL
May you have a good harvest.
Go get your 22 inch row cornhead again, you know that 1 you had and sold cuz you didn't think that you would use it again, anyway go get it put on your combine and cut your down corn at the angle. Then plant some Becks corn next year, to help alleviate that issue.
Good video good to see y'all
Yes. An Onyx cam would b very interesting. Seems like a very nice young man. Good job Mom and Dad. Kindest regards 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you and be safe
I installed these auto greaser from Perma in all our belts, I think it be safer and easier on you.
