that extra mile of vacuuming the area before the install is awesome I've seen another installer how doesn't care and just plops the amp right on top of the trash oh and the you could have just open the door part had me rolling
The Beige Wonder thank you, never enough soap.
Love to see you guys show that ultra clean work with the amp mounting and wiring. The music was great too! I've got both the Pioneer and Kenwood 5 channel amps I'll be testing in the upcoming weeks. Merry Christmas to everyone at Five Star Car Stereo!
Thank you and Merry Christmas Big D!
Great information and camera work but that music was fricking brutal! Thanks edit: at 6:24 the music got a lot better.
Curious, what does a amp install like this cost at 5 star?
When you have all the tools to do a clean install it makes everything else easy. I ordered some Tessa tape and some of those things that go on the end of the wires and it makes such a big difference
Didn't realize how much I would miss Fernando until he was absent from an entire video!
You guys make it seem so easy when it comes to installing radios or amps... I'M going to tackle this job on my own car soon. Thanks for posting awesome videos.
E Puebla it is all in the pre planning. We always map out what we are doing before we do it.
Dean and Fernando's attention to detail is 2nd ta none! Like button smashed!
I'm still saying ....you guys are the Best.... clean and good looking install .... you give the true meaning of 5 Stars!
Ricardo Vázquez thank you
I follow other " popular car audio guys" here on youtube because of all the neat stuff they do and machines they have, but you guys keep it so simple and so professional and easy to understand. I love the simplicity of your work, cleanliness, and professional look. I see you guys are getting quite a following because of this. Great Job!
see now!!!
you guys do some of the cleanest wiring ive seen
I've been in the installation game for 20+ years worked in a lot of different shops in my area. I have to say you guys do clean work and work well together. keep up the good work. also where can I order the rivet gun?
Brian Patterson thank you. That one has died so we upgraded to a heavy duty
Muzata Heavy Duty Blind Rivet Nut Kit Set, Riveter Tool, Rivet Nut Gun, Thread Hand Riveter, Rivet Gun, Riveting Tools with 100PCS Metric Rivet Nuts Included M3 M4 M5 M6 M8 www.amazon.com/dp/B01M59GTH8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vZwazbT2QWPMD

Awesome job yet again, even enjoyed the music in the soundtrack LOL. Have a good day guys!
jmaslin thanks, wanted to try something different for the music.
When you look up O.C.D. in the dictionary there is a picture of dean wiring up a 5 channel amp.
....9 minutes in I realized you sped the up...I should drop by for a 12 minute install...you guy's are fast.!!!!!
I’m going to come visit you guys in Clearwater. I hope I can afford you for a 911 save my 2014 4RUNNER and then do a great install on my son’s 2016 Tacoma SR5 Access cab. That 2nd install is for him as a surprise that we will deliver to him in the next couple of months. He’s active duty US Navy and hasn’t had his truck for several months. You guys really know what you are doing! Very impressed with your knowledge and skills in the car audio arena. See you soon, hope I can afford you and that you can save my already purchased equipment. Keep up the great on line shares. It’s so obvious you do stuff right. MB
I swear the cleanest installs. Great job guys. Always enjoy your videos.
Sinister thank you very much
what you guys should do is MAKE A VIDEO ON TUNING YOUR AMP OTHER THAN GAINS. ALSO HOW TO SET UP AND TUNE A PROCESSOR PROPERLY
Direct Connectionz it is coming
Stereo Fi Electronics Well what you should do is leave if you are going to be mean. I enjoyed the video I don't know what is wrong with you.
Another pro install. I appreciate you guys explaining your thought process as you go too, excellent tips. You guys are great!
I'd be interested on how to set the gains on the amp if you haven't covered that already.
J Will we are working on something, stay tuned
When you drill into the bottom, how deep are you going? Are you also painting the bare metal to protect against rust? I want to mount underneath my seat and I am worried about that
You guys a just amazing clean clean installs
Every thing is common sense
The very best I've ever seen I've mention you guys to a lot of my friends and learn so much
Doing installs the correct and best way thank you
Cant wait for your next video
You guys gave me an idea I like how you guys ran the cables straight to the harness instead of running Brand New speaker cable from the speaker
I learn so much from watching you guys! Great work
Now this is what you call clean work and well done!
Awesome job once again by Dean and Fernando! 👌👍
You guys have the cleanest builds! Love the quality!!
5:38 where do these wires go? and why you connected them to one single adapter?
That jingle at 6mins in lol great Video so much info
Jimmyc Chong thank you glad you liked it
The amp plate under the seat cool as hell. Great install fellas and hoping to come down that way soon for my new truck build. Keep up the great videos 👍✌️
JustEnufCustoms thank you👍🏻
Clean work but wouldn’t the hvac system blow hot air on it when set to warm up feet ? Or is it blocked off to prevent that
A video about speaker wire. gauge, tips and tricks also about the speed wire for speakers do you use it etc. thanks! keep up the good work!
they have vids on all of this.....search is your friend
I know this video is old but what about the HVAC vents under the seat blowing right on the amp? In winter time it'll be blowing hot air across the amp. No concern?
I was wondering the same thing.
I watch the whole video ☝️ real clean setup 👍keep the good work Gs😁👍
This video is actually super helpful. I give you guys a thumbs up. Thanks for making the video 👌👍
DjBeatz _ thank you, I'm glad you liked it
Love your work ethic and installs!!! Boy I do miss having a GREAT car audio system!
luvmybeemer what happenstance to your system
I need links to all of your install accessories, your installs are super clean.
Victor Soders give me a couple of days I will put it in the description.
Thanks, and No Worries
Still no links, what happened to a couple days? LOL
What a clean work good installation. We don't have this kind of material in India if it is available it will be too expensive. But still works with cheap material:)
Really digging the music on this one 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow what a clean installation.
MSH3423 thank you very much
Awesome! I love installing audio equipment! Unfortunately I'm in a different profession. I look forward to watching all your videos!
This guy's work so neat..
Almost everything looked good, I just can't help thinking that some air ducts were blocked under there...🤔
Another great video guys. Thanks for keeping me entertained/informed. Love the music btw!
Brian Jewell glad you like the the video and the music. Wanted to try something new
Wow, really clean work. Nice!
Great quality teamwork!
Every install you guys do it is like a high end shop would do it , Tesa tape use , custom PVC brackets , rivets etc.........
TTacoma every car gets the same treatment big or small. Maybe I should paint the bay white, so I can look like a high end shop. 😁
Pretty sure these guys ARE a high end shop. Just because they aren't running a shop with 5 install bays doesn't mean that they aren't high end. It's the work that comes out of it that counts.
Five Star Car Stereo you guys ARE A HIGH END SHOP PERIOD! You have and use high end testing equipment and your installs are all neat, methodical and well done regardless of equipment used. Excellent work, cleanliness, knowledge are something sorely missing in today’s world of car audio.
Such clean work, I love your videos!
Great video, interesting choice for background music.
Rob Meyer thanks. I wanted something new and different
fantastic! I got the same amp and would've had you do the install if I lived in Florida ☹
alpinedb150 thank you
What model is it?
Great job, your a 3 hour drive to your shop and i was wondering what is the cost for that job as im changing amps under the seat of my fj cruiser, all the wires are their to hookup just need a 5 channel amp and the wire routed to the new sub woofer. cheers!
Just wondering what size ferrules you used with the speed wire I can find any spec on the size of the speaker inputs thanks you guys have the best install videos
Nice install, did you guys ran the speaker wires back to the radio? And from the radio out to the speakers?
I'm about to install something simple and that seems like a good idea to re use the old speaker cables instead of running new ones to all doors.
man you guys should set up shop in L.A you guys would sky rocket
stryker7x yes LA and Dallas seem to be hot.
So what if you use the heat on the floorboard will it over heat the amp please reply I'm actually using your video right now to install
LOVE THE HERTZ SHIRT...HOT ME SOME CENTOS 6X9 IN DOORAND REAR...AWESOME SOUND
I’m looking to have a 5 channel amp in my car. Did you install the five channel amp to stock speakers here?
This video is great, got me wanting Italian for dinner, wait a minute. Now I want Mexican.
Andrew Rieta I'm glad you noticed. I was looking for some fun music to set the mood.
Did you mount the plate directly to the vehicle with self tapping screws? That's The only part in not 100% on
Could you do a video going over that drawer of testing equipment you have? The one where you pulled the phase tester from. It would be cool to go over those types of tools and how to use them
Michael Perez yes we definitely will be doing that.
why is it a 5 channel amp? does that mean it can power your speakers and the subwoofer all from the same amp?
That is correct
What were those wiring harnesses that you used? I'm researching adding an amp and sub to my 2020 Elantra.
\wesome work, great in front of a camera. How come you guys aren't famous
Nice vidoe as always. I have 16 honda accord with 7speakers include an oem sub (one), want to add after market amp and subs. I am using a LOC for my amp but should I tap the wire to the rear speakers or the OEM sub woofer(one)? And i will not use the oem sub? Hope this makes sense...
Love watching all your installs. Each as meticulous and clean as the next. Wish you guys were in Southern California, I'd bring all my cars to you for installs. I'm thinking about doing a 5-channel amp upgrade for my '06 4runner. Any recommendations? currently have Pioneer AVIC-Z1 driving stock speakers but will upgrade that to 8200 NEX or Kenwood 9903s. Will need speakers upgrade recommendations too.
John Pham check out the Kenwood Excelon line of 5 channel amps, they make 2. Their 7" line of Excelon speakers are also very nice. Focal also make a Toyota perfect fit speaker also.
(for home application) if we use an active subwoofer will it still draw power from the amplifier and still have to formulated first or just plug it in into a pairs of the socket (back L & R maybe) since it already have it own power source??
Do you think the full cowl speakers are worth the money
Isn't the new amp location covering the floor air outlets? Extra heat blowing unto amp.
I love ❤️ this channel
What was going on with the wire harness abd the RCA’s. Did you splice the RCA to an adapter for the head unit? I’m confused? -
Great videos and very helpful.
Hey my friend where do you order that speaker harness? The white, purple, green, and grey you twist up with the drill? I’d love to be able to order that if possible.
Wasn’t what I was looking for, last Stereo I installed was 40 years ago, you didn’t show how to wire it all up. I’m doing a stereo installation on a custom 3 wheel trike and want to put a subwoofer in it and be able to listen to music while running 80 mph down the road. Got a kenwood reciver with 4 kicker 4” speakers and putting a 6.5” subwoofer and a 2000 watt 5 channel amp, that’s all I got figured out. how do I wire it all up. Got any videos to help me out? G
Always like the vids. polarity does not equal phase.
That’s funny u say screw em back down. I just did that with this amp I just got used. I always tell my buddies to do the same. Haha
Man that was a super clean install plan on doing the same type set up in my avalanche just curious on how wire my factory speakers to the amp i see all the new wires from the amp to the radio but does it all just wire in the factory harness like a y harness kind of confused
Why would you run the remote wire with the soeaker wire?..... wont that cause interference or a low buzz in rhe sloeakers?
@5:28. What wires are those to and from? They coming from the door speakers. Or did you go in from behind the head unit? Thank you.
Do you think that the FOC AL speakers are worth the money
Hi guys great install!! I have a question. I building a ported box and don't know what tuning frequency should i tune my box?
Clayton Camilleri most people like 32-34 hz. Don't forget you can call the speaker manufacturer for help.
Who is the next guy what do you do with the old amps
YOU GUYS DO GOOD WORK 💪🏻😳👍🏻🇲🇽❤️
Why do you use both the amp speaker wires and amp rca cables together?
Another awesome install...
John Furious thank you
so you used the factory wires for the door speakers?
awesome install as always!
greenekturbo thank you
very clean install. wish I could find an installer like this in VA
DAILYGRIND thank you
How long does it take to install a 5 channel amp like that? Just curious
I have an 1972 Chevy Impala and was wondering for four 6x9 and two smaller 6'x in the front with two twetters what kind of amp would you recommend?
be nice to have more talking and less music. and what was that device that you pressed against the speakers? what does that do?
Great work guys
Like always thank you
you guys should do a video about install a cross over where the tweeter are in the dash and the speaker is in the door. would you run new wires into the door? and if your running new wires into the door whats the best way to do that if there are plugs in the door and not just wire going through the boot of the door.
zmanbad yes good idea. The best way to do that is to mount the crossover in the car. Run the midrange wire to the factory front wire. Run a new tweeter wire up to the tweeter. Run the radio or amp into the crossover.
Hi guys. Love your channel. I have a question about a tool you use and also the type of tape you use. What was the blue riveter like tool that you guys used after marking and drilling out the holes that would later mount that amp? That black type looks like a cloth type of tape? Thank you for your time and keep showing off your work. You guys do Grade A Installs!
www.amazon.com/Nutsert-Tool-Kit-Metal-Case/dp/B0040CZ608
its a nutsert tool
What kind of tape did you use to wrap the wires. It does not look like electrical tape. Thanks!
+Hee Quach it is Tesa tape, the felt interior version
Do you use twisted pair or single-ended RCAs on that Alpine line? I forget if they're differential input or not (even though I have two of them - a 4-channel and a monoblock sub amp, LOL).
professionally done.
Raygan Davis thank you
First I'd like to say I love your videos and detailed information about the products you use. I've always been a mono sub setup with a maybe a 2 to 4 channel for mids and highs. I just bought a Kia amanti with a factory infinity system. It has 4 components (each door 6.5 and tweeter) a 8in sub in the rear deck. It has an underpowered 225 watt factory jbl I'm assuming it's 5 channel amp which is mounted in the left back of trunk. In nice out of the way area. I'm wanting to replace the 5 channel with more powerful one to run a better 8in sub and upgraded components. Also I want to add a mono block for my 2 12 jl w3's. Ultimately I'm going for a quality sound with the 8 providing quick mid range bass and the components doing there normal mid to high levels and of course my 12s doing there job. In my mind it sounds good but I'm not familiar with running 6 channels except in my house. I thought about a 4 channel and a smaller mono for the 8 plus a separate mono for the 12s (ran in series). I really would like to only run 2 amps. You have any ideas or videos perhaps on what I'm going for?
How about hot and cold air from ventilation? Isn’t affecting to amp ??
So I have a 2016 f150 and I recently bought a pair of type-R shallow 12's and all type-R speakers for front and back; including tweeters. Would this amp be good enough to handle all of that?
Great installed can you try to do a 2005 to 2015 Tacoma prerunner extended cab 🙏
One thing that nobody seems to talk about on car audio channels is what to do with spare RCA cable lengths, short of cutting them to length and resoldering. Advice? This is a great video by the way thank you. Very rugged, just like all your guy's work.
One of the thing that I wanted to ask you about was your approach to sound dampening. I noticed you don't really prioritize sound dampening to your customers. Is there a reason for that? What are your thoughts?
