I'm using Iroha soft for this one, and gosh her voicebank is soooooo good. Like I like normal Iroha, but iroha soft is a whole other level... It's the same type of tone as yukari onn but so much prettier in my opinion drools

日本ネイティブじゃない日本語話者だからこそ、言語に対する嗅覚が半端ないんだろうな。日本人が英語に対してまず文法から向き合っているように、cilliaさんは習得する過程で日本語を理論的に捉えているから、日本人が感じ取れない鋭敏なものに反応できるのではないのかと思ってる。小泉八雲のような人。もちろん言語の壁を通り越して難解なUTAUを扱う熱量と気持ち良い声を作る耳の良さもあるとは思うけどね。
@@EraserByGoogle 3年前のコメントにも関わらず返信ありがとうございます😊素敵だな〜と思っていても具体的な言葉が浮かばなかった部分が言語化されたことでとてもスッキリしました！圧倒的それな感とでもいうのでしょうか…。言語は成長とともに獲得していくものなので、使用するうちに形が崩れていくし、無意識のうちに粗雑に扱ってしまうこともあります。ですが、cilliaさんの調声を聞くと日本ネイティブにはない言語表現の丁寧さがあり、それに対して「日本人よりも日本語を大事に使ってくれている」と感じたのかなと３年越しに思いました。耳の良さ、も同感です！歌詞の表記と人間が実際に発声したときの音には差異があることがありますが、cilliaさんの場合はそれがちゃんと表現されているように思います。それはcilliaさんの耳の良さからくるものなのかなーと。長々とすみません😅

Well, my interpretation for this, doesn't necessarily involve them in a relationship, but they do have a long and strong connection with each other. The girl who has her eyes blindfolded, is a person who can't see the truth for what it is, which makes her a positive person but it also breaks her when sad stuff happens. The guy who has his mouth covered, is a person who takes the truth for how it is. You can see him making comments like "You know that it would fail" and "You'll soon get used to it" meaning he has accepted that life is just 'tasteless'. BUT we also know that he is a liar, hence the covering on his mouth. The girl blindly follows the guy in a way, while the guy presumably leads her into a better life. Although, he is lying in a way. We can see how chaotic the path he is taking(The rail tracks aren't placed right, legos aren't organized). It's not really a better life, it's just him accepting everything as it is, and he wasn't even able to go and take a step in solving their problems, hence him falling before opening the door..
On the second part of the song, we can see the guy trying to have a positive outlook in life, like the girl, which is why he also cried and asked "Why does it have to hurt so much?". We also see him wanting for happiness to repeat forever but he knows that isn't gonna happen. About the tasting his dreams part, since in japanese there's no specific pronouns involved, I interpreted as him saying dreams are tasteless because he is like a doll of clay. So, it's like he's admitting that he's the problem as to why his life is like this. He also said life was like tiring or too much to deal with but he still held his hand, although that didn't seem to work. So in this section, we just see him trying in little ways.
In the second chorus, we can see that their relationship is breaking apart. The girl is changing, and it's partly his fault influencing her with that kind of mindset. He's conscious of it, knowing that this a relationship that he shouldn't let go of, but he fails in trying to fix it yet again (The blowing the balloon of happiness it pops).
In the next part, it's the girl who finally tells the truth, that she knows that the life they're living isn't great, she finally admits it. The guy, however, didn't want to admit it, which is why the girl said he was never honest, because he was hoping for something better even though he's saying that he has already accepted the situation. The girl cuts their covers, meaning she is now able to see what's in front of her while the guy can now be honest with himself. But the girl ended up silencing the guy and told him to just wait for her to come back, implying that she will be the one to do something about it this time, and this time for real.
In the final chorus, we can see that the girl is now the one leading. Yes, the guy is the one blindly following right now, but the environment is different. The path they're taking is not chaotic, it's realistic, yet organized. As for the last part, we see the girl remove her hands from the guy's eyes, in which now he is able to see what's in front of him. Then the part with a person closing the door behind them. Now, we may interpret this as him getting left out while the girl eventually got out of their current situation. But because of the length of the hair, it can be also the guy finally being able to get out of their situation and seeing life with a more positive outlook or at least not as depressing as before. I'd like to think that he eventually got over his stagnant situation with the help of the girl. Well that's how I interpret it anyways.

This comment is long overdue, and today I just felt like keeping it on record. I have been listening to this cover since it was released 5 years ago. I loved it since the 1st time, and this cover accompanied me through university. I used to loop this youtube video for hours and hours during study sessions, sometimes 8 hours at a time. The loops don't count into views, so I have no idea how much time I spent on this video. The steady beat and soft vocals served as the perfect background sounds. Now I graduated, and I still sometimes return to listen to this song while working. I know every word of this song, and it has become somewhat of a friend to me. Thank you
This reminds me of a similar story on YT. There was a video of a song (I think it was from Guitar Hero) and the same user always commented on his appreciation for the song in the video. He left lots and lots of comments, for probably 6 years? Idk,but I think this is wholesome anyway

I found this cover a few months ago, and I have to say that I'm just completely in love! This was my first introduction to Nekomura Iroha, and it's so frickin good! I wish that she was used more often and you tune her so well! This is one of my all-time favorite songs
