the troubleshooting techniques and thought process that goes into the repair interests me the most..visualizing everything and the relationship between the components and measurements..
Your channel is a GEM! It’s hard to find people willing to help educate others. I appreciate you informing the viewer why you do things / tools you use and why you approach the repair this way etc. Thank you ❤ for sharing your knowledge.
Considering the amount of "easy" board repair videos already out there, I doubt that you releasing your own "easy" repair videos is really going to change the amount of techs who are over confident in their own abilities. That is really on them. I would say keep putting out whatever videos you feel like doing, and if techs make the mistake of over promising then they will see the effects in their own business. Personally I enjoy both "easy" and complex repair videos as I feel they add to the pool of general knowledge. As always, thank you for taking the time to document your work and processes
I like seeing both types of troubleshooting. Why can't the phone be re-assembled and sent back as a working phone if the cap is replaced? Thanks for sharing your work!
yes i love your videos. Also this is the first time I see someone do a voltage injection using a dc power supply. If you can touch on that technique more would be grateful. I would say my main weakness when it comes to these sort of repair is diagnostics. If you can focus in depth on diagnostics and how you go about diagnosing problems in a much greater detail would be grateful. For example, I feel like if you had created videos where you say ok i will cause this problem or make this short on this line with this board, which would be a good board of course, and then take the board have that malfunction it would help us learn faster and better. More like working backwards. Thank you for taking the time to read.
These "simple" jobs are short and fun to watch, especially when you explain a technique or describe what's going on. Can you tell me why the red probe goes on ground when in diode mode? I don't see how it would make a difference what the polarity is when looking for shorts.
Diode mode is checking voltage drop, not resistance. If the line is actually short, then you are correct and it doesn't matter. However, all these lines have a "normal" value when not short, and that normal value can only be seen if polarity is correct.
@@iBoardRepair ah ok. So the reference values have been obtained with +ve on ground, just by convention? I thought there might've been a specific reason to avoid -ve on ground in diode mode, like maybe it could damage certain components
At the end of the day without the "easy" videos the beginners can't learn even though I like the advanced stuff we were all beginners at some point and I wouldn't know what I know without following the likes of Jessa in the early days.

Thanks I really appreciate the feedback!
Keep them coming , no matter how "easy" it is for you.
Will do!

Of course man keep them coming I live for your videos 🙂🙂
I appreciate the support, thanks for watching!

Keep doing the easy stuff

Good point! I also learned from Jessa's videos in the beginning.
As far as simple solutions are very helpful 😊.. up the game to more "complex situations."... we feed ourselves on your solutions😛. They are epic.
I like complex videos too, but it takes a lot longer to film and edit those! So I will do my best!
Great video, and very helpful!
Thanks for watching!
You know my opinion, excellent stuff!
Always appreciate your insight Joshua!
is an ampdraw of 0.034 or 0.075 considered a short? also when measuring resistance i get 010 or 075.
I am not sure what you are measuring. Amp draw from dcps vs resistance of measuring a line are two different things.
Sorry. I ment when I inject power to the battery connector I get an amp draw of 0.034 amp and when I measure the resistance of vdd main I get 010 ohm.
