Met both you guys at cali jam for first time past event. You guys are so down to earth and good humans thank you for all you do for our sport. Maybe you guys can run a clinic in vegas with the golden misfits when they come back to playing again.
I’m super excited for more mic’d up content that dives deeper into the game play of the individuals and teams as a whole during a live event. I’ve always thought it would be great if during the live stream you could select a team to listen in on their game play or even a specific player rather than always just having the commentary from the booth. With the ability to select a first person live streamed perspective and an overhead split screen of the entire field, it would change the watching experience completely. It would take the whole gamer perspective to a real live sport in such an amazing way. I know it’s a lot, but I feel it coming. This idea came from years of my dad being involved in racing and going to races with a scanner and watching at home live to listen in to the team and the drivers while the race was going on so you can better understand why the driver was doing this or that, and what was happening over the entire race with the car. It adds a muncher deeper yet understandable aspect to why things are happening, and with this sport if you don’t understand why something is happening it can be very hard to watch. When you see a driver in 3rd place and you’re like come on dude make the move, but then hear on the radio he’s losing control coming out of a turn and needs more of something and is just doing his best to keep it on the track, you get it and then realize these dudes are driving well over 100mph barely hanging on. Without that info and understanding it looks boring as hell.
I once burned 10 min off a clock to tie 1-1 in a prelim match with the second place team in my bracket and kick out the others. This was the last match of our bracket, pushed the other team into xball for their second point, and set up the semi's. Its not only important to know your game time but also backet standings.
I think local leagues should be run like pop Warner or little leagues. Where the coaches pick the teams and you sign up for the whole season. This would force players to work on team play and stop all the cutthroat stuff that turns off struggling teams. I think we are all focused on building the sport ( top down) instead of building the base. All "real team sports " have a draft, and switching teams mid-season is only allowed for a trade. We must follow the successful strategies of other sports if we want to be taken seriously.
Love the show guys!❤
