Nick in Nvidia control panel you can cap fps limit to your monitor hz. Just leave unlimited in game but nvidia will cap it for you. I believe setting it -3fps under your refresh rate will help with screen tearing and stutters
Plus you’ll def be able to max out everything and still push high fps. I only have a i7-13700k & 4070Ti super and it maxes out all settings at silly fps on 1440p still so you’d have no problems with any limitations by gears
We will have to see all of your Specs. The problem can be all sorts of things honestly since gears 5 is horribly optimized. Even if you did cap your frames to your refresh rate (you can through Nvidia Control Panel) I feel like you will still have the same issues.
After testing some stuff, it looks like you need to reduce your texture sizes, but you can get away with keeping level of detail higher. My gaming computer is not as powerful as yours, I texture sizes on low to no have stutters like yours. But I have level of detail for chars and stuff on medium. Still looks way better than all low. Hope that fixes it.
I think you’re right about your PC being too good for your monitor (maybe check for an overclock option?). Heavy graphic, fast-paced game like Gears is when I notice the stuttering the most as well. Instead of buying a new monitor I just resort back to playing on console at 120 fps 😂
At the start when I switched to pc gears 5 dropped frames on me a lil bit too. Then after a couple of days I played it more consistent on pc the frames stopped dropping completely. 😊
Make sure your power settings are set for performance. Any power setting plan other than that will often cause spikes due to various power and voltage balancing mechanisms. Also, make sure to check your task manager for processes running on the computer that could be hogging resources and/or blocking compute for the game via competing for resources. And then of course faulty hardware does happen. Happened to me and it's frustrating. But I have a way weaker pc than yours and my screen is only 60hz while the game is at 300+ fps and I don't have any spikes like what I see from you unless some serious other processes or my power setting is not set to performance. A big one that can do this on the task manager is anything that says search or telemetry. (they won't necessarily appear to be using much in resources but they f performance and cause HARD stuttering) Just end those tasks immediately they are worthless and always cause these kinds of issues. (they index files for file explorer and send data to microsoft) Also Fortnite 5 sucks so there's that too.
So I watched your video from yesterday which you can tell was on xbox, and I know the pc quality is like 10x better but it still seems smoother on the xbox. More fluid which is kind of sad fam.
I've found most team objective games,halo,bf4/5,Titanfall ,apex legends etc,a lesser skilled but better organised team communicating and working together will normally beat higher skilled solo/lone wolves...props to icy for the fight.
Love how people will say PC has advantage yet we stutter our asses off and parties get completely broken, Meanwhile on Console its a seamless experience with no hiccups or connectivity issues
I swear there something in the engine or coding for this game that is just shit. Played on pc since launch and it’s always been stuttery.I’m sure someone has the answer but I don’t play much gears anymore, don’t have the time the play enough of it to be any good anymore. Much love though
“i’m calling my wife i played with icy” frrrrrr 😹

I recently started getting these spikes. I never use to get them and literally within the past few weeks they started

Could the stutter be related to your recording/streaming? Have you tried playing without that other software running to see if it happens then?
26:23 buddy saw icy and ran for his life😂😂

Give us ur specs for everything. All of your hardware and we can help you figure this out. Love ya icy
Love the consistency lately!

Second match you played i think one of your best games 👌🏼 i watch your videos every day

You just gotta keep playing it. It's all the cache. It sometimes takes playing each map dozens of times to get it smoothed out.

Maybe you should try to play with "reduced buffering" on...
What GPU is Nick running on his PC?
4090

I'm going try to buy a PC I want to know which one is better to buy
sounds like you gotta try 500hz monitor
S muy raro que tengas caidas de FPS tan bajas
28:09 this game aint real
23 min mark was actually disgusting. Flew through that whole team
Cap your fps it will fix that problem
Your teammates were really bad in that first match. They were more focused on taking kills than the obj, plus the other team had tunnel vision on you.

Is anybody else’s gears servers down or is it me ?
It’s janking as hell lol depends on whatever mood gears is in that day 😂
I play gears everyday on pc never had this issue. Your Nvidia settings are probably messed up.
